I ordered a whole replacement intercom system from BEC (around $2,000) for an old 1980s NuTone intercom. This included many parts and I had to make assumptions about the parts that existed in the wall. BEC was helpful during the ordering process and I called a few times with additional questions and troubleshooting. All pretty good there. Of course I had to make multiple orders, as you may need additional things after seeing what's actually there and working/not working. I was charged shipping each time, which was a lot. Also, I had a few extra things that ended up not being necessary. The 2nd paragraph of their return policy states "a 15% restocking fee" which I missed since it was in the 2nd paragraph! (Screw that, I'll sell them on eBay). I also had a piece break during installation, which I had planned to return with other items, but seeing the restocking fee, I decided not to return. They did not refund me for the broken item which they told me to throw out. It seems more trouble than it's worth at this point. I'd probably pick another company next time. They just aren't all that easy to use unless you know EXACTLY what you want and will not need to switch items or return anything. read more

I emailed them for an estimate to repair my amplifier for my car and they did not respond to me for 5 days. When he did respond, I let him know that I already sent my amplifier for repair to a different company (whom responded to me within hours) and that if he wants more possible customers he should respond quicker. BEC Audio responded to my email with some very rude comments. If your looking for a company to repair your amp or electronics, don't count on these guys. Not to mention they quoted me an outrageous estimate (around $300 to repair + $15 shipping + $20 diagnostics). I bought my amp new for $200 new and the repairs from these guys were not worth it. I sent my amp to Amp Medics. They repaired my amp for $100 and I could not be happier. Search Amp Medics on google and throw them an email, they are very kind and very responsive. read more

We had an old NuTone intercom system that we wanted to try to get running. I found BEC enterprises online and sent our command module to them for repairs. In short we are very disappointed with this company and would not recommend them to others. They are poor communicators regarding repairs and the process. Afterwards they could offer no technical support on our system as we tried to get it up and running, which seemed strange since they were able to repair our module. And, as it turns out, we found out that they shipped our intercom to someone else to have repaired (Chime King Enterprises out of Cincinnati, OH). We know this because they accidentally left the repair bill from that third party in our box. They (BEC) were charged $170 then they added $205 onto that and billed us $375. To be fair, they told us the price would be near that amount, but I sure wish that I had found Chime King first! read more

I LOVE LOVE music. I got a touch system .A IST-1600 radio. It was around 250.00 dollars. I wanted gerat music! I also ordered new speakers. I hired a man to smooth out the seams in the drywall on the ceiling, as they were rough. But I had to wait my turn. Knowing drywall dust hurt electronics, I put my new system in my office and kept the door shut. While the drywall man fixed the ceiling out on my main business floor. When I had it installed, and went to use it, it was tempermental. Sometimes it would work, sometimes not. Now we can't even get it to shut off. It never changed to different stations with out a time consuming fight. I called and they would do nothing. I would have been happy with a replacement that worked. ..But no ... they did nothing. I back everything in my business. They didn't do a thing for all that money I spent for great sound..Look some place else.... read more

If I could give 0 stars I Would! This company was Horrible. First of all they did not send all part we order, and we also received bad parts, When it come down to try to get replacement parts no one would call us back or answer our question. Tried calling several time and finally got a call back from a supervisor a month later. Canceled order and payment. Will never do business with them again and advise you don't either. read more

Had a great experience with BEC. I replaced my 17 year old NuTone intercom/radio with a compatible replacement model. I worked with Alex C. He was great. Very prompt and answered all my questions. I purchased a Wireless camera for my gate and returned it within days to BEC. I called after 10 days about my refund (since no one called me to confirm receipt) and they said someone would call me back. I called again 2 weeks after and they said someone would get back to me "Michael" to be exact and nothing. No one has refunded me my $270.00 nor returned my call 2 months later. I called again and again, had to leave a message. If it was less money, the hassle is not even worth it BUT, due to the amount I spent....I WANT someone to refund my FUNDS! We had purchased an intercom system (from another seller) that BEC also sold, and when it stopped working, we contacted BEC Audio to see about having it fixed. We shipped it to them, and were told that they would contact us with a price quote to fix it. We waiting about 6 months with no contact, and continuously tried to find out status on it, with no call backs, or emails. After a little over 6 months, and repeated attempts to find out about it, we were finally contacted back by Joe via email, and were told; 'this was almost a year ago, we do not have any of these systems around here', and he forwarded the message over to Noah, to ask if he knew of any. I emailed both Joe and Noah back the same day, to tell them it had actually only been about 6 months, not a year. During the next 5 months, we didn't hear anything back, and repeatedly tried to contact them, again. We finally heard back from Joe, almost 6 months later, with Joe saying they did find our system in the back, and were shipping it back to us.... their cost. The unit arrived a few weeks later, with massive damage to the inside of the unit, and things broken off of the exterior part of it, as well. Do I recommend them? No. Not even a little tiny bit. I do not like leaving negatives about service, etc., and never do, but I still get bothered every time I look at this hunk of junk, sitting in the corner, that they butchered, that I don't want to get rid of, in hopes that one day maybe I can get it to work again, and the $2000 we spent on an intercom system throughout the house, wasn't completely shot! read more
