The overall selection of foods is slightly smaller than what other grocery stores have, but their selection of organic items is slightly larger. Fresh Thyme is not our favorite grocery store, but we sometimes like to pop in here to see the different foods. My husband wanted to visit this particular Fresh Thyme in Bridgeville just to do a small amount of shopping. We selected three meats and one fruit. We experienced no problems with the checkout process. The prices were average.

This is a place where you need to be careful when you are buying produce. I was a bit disappointed…read morein the fact that they did not have a whole lot to choose from but they did have some unique melons which I had never heard of before. The current "in season" items right now are corn on the cob, tomatoes, peaches, and melons. There is a dairy case but nothing exciting about it along with a meat case. I wasn't impressed with the meats in it nor with the frozen cherries I saw. For the most part you can spend under $10.00 depending on what you get. I was blown away by the huge cantaloupes they had for sale. They were $4.50 each. Unfortunately when I got my selected melon home and began to cut it the juice ran all over the place and I could tell it was overripe. They do have items noted directly from farms. I ended up with a green pepper for $.25. Other peppers were a bit more. For corn on the cob you can get either white or yellow corn. I choose half a dozen white. They come prebagged and the one I selected had an extra ear of corn for free. I cooked one of those up when I got home and it was fresh and good. I was taken aback however when I saw they were selling overriped bananas that had started to turn brown. Normally I would find this type of thing in your regular supermarket but never in a place like this. They sell other things like popcorn and honey and jams to name a few. I was told that their greenhouse is currently undergoing transformation for fall so I really didn't get an opportunity to visit it. I asked about their other location in Cecil and learned that it was basically a nursery as opposed to a farmer's market. It is run by someone else in their family. The staff is friendly and helpful in explaining things to me. Credit cards are accepted on any order over $10.00. It is located on Bower Hill Road as you head towards Bridgeville.

I…read morewas shocked when I moved here in July 2023 after paying $5.50 a dozen ear of corn to $11 a dozen at Trax, farmers markets, and the grocery stores. I can understand the grocery store being a little higher because they have to buy it and bring it in but all Trax they had to do is pull it out of the field and put it in the table in the building so the price should be much lower. As a result, I take a day trip back to Belleville, where I used to live and buy about 8 to 10 dozen years of corn and freeze it for the winter I also buy five fry peppers 5/$1 red and green bell peppers 3/$1, zucchini 3-4/$1 and they're not itty-bitty little things. They're a normal size. I just find that tracks prices are way out of proportion compared to other places.

It also sells desserts such as pies, plants such as flowers, and other businesses' products such as canned goods. I bought two bags of fresh produce and a jar of honey. The total price was $39, which my husband thought was more expensive than regular grocery stores' prices. The employees did not greet me as I walked around the store, but I think that English is not their first language. The cashier did thank me and tell me to have a good day. Overall, I do not envision myself shopping here regularly, but I enjoyed browsing the products, and so far, these foods at home are tasting good.

The staff at the registers are always pleasant and working efficiently. The selection is fresh and vast. The flowers are always beautiful and welcoming as soon as you walk in and the cheese selection is borderline overwhelming. I never have a problem leaving with a full basket of unique finds. The store feels small when it's crowded and sometimes it's difficult to navigate around the crowd, but the aisles are wide.

There is definitely not enough parking and it borders with a busy Chick Fil A, so that makes it even more challenging. That is why I deducted a star. Otherwise, this is a wonderful location. It is well maintained and well stocked. If one of your favorites isn't there, they can and will look up the status of the product. They can check if it was discontinued, if they have it on order (and when they should have it in stock again) or when they are able to order it again. It is really helpful! They will also let you sample something if you have a question about it. I've only done this once (and it was because they offered). They also often have samples of a product they are trying to promote that week or month. Food quality is fresh and there is a really nice variety of items. I especially like perusing the frozen aisle because there are so many unique international food options like Korean, French, Italian and Greek options just to name a few. The inside of the location is clean, well lit and full of vibrant color. This is a great location (if you are able to actually find a place to park)

I asked her where the petting zoo was located, and she kindly gave me clear directions.

After seeing posts online about this Farmers Market for quite some time, I finally made it out to…read morecheck it out this past summer! I stopped here around 1:30 PM on a Sunday in July for the second market of the season. The Carnegie Farmers Market is held right on E Main Street, and spans about a block or so. There is a parking lot on one side of the street, or there is plenty of street parking all around. Carnegie is relatively flat, so it is an easy walk to the market wherever you end up parking. Hours of the market are Sundays from Noon to 3:00 PM in July and August, and 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM in September. When we visited, there was a good amount of patrons around, but it was not overwhelmingly crowded. Many patrons had their dogs, so they are definitely welcome to the fun. There are a healthy amount of vendors, as well as businesses that line the street which are also open during the event. On the day we visited, there were nearly 40 vendors, in addition to the businesses in the area. Vendors range from farms, food stands, hand-made gifts and goods, alcoholic drinks, local organizations, and much more. The beauty of a market like this is that they will change weekly! Some of my personal favorites from this particular market day were Cox Woodwork out of Aliquippa, and the Mexa food stand. I also enjoyed the live music playing. They bring in a different musician/musical group weekly, so that is also something to look forward to seeing differently each visit. All of the different vendors will have different pricing, but I did not think anything was extremely expensive or unreasonable. There are select vendors that accept Fresh Access and SNAP, which allows dollars to stretch even further than they normally would! We ended up spending over an hour in the area, between the vendors on E Main Street and the surrounding businesses that were open. Markets like these create such a fun atmosphere and promote community. It was fun to walk around, browse, and see all that the market and Carnegie had to offer. I look forward to being able to stop here again this upcoming summer! This is a great market that seems to be growing in both size and popularity each year. If you are not looking for something to eat, but are rather in search of a cute gift there are also vendors that sell a selection of fresh, beautiful bouquet of flowers or small potted plants to choose from. There is a parking lot right where the farmers market locates, or you can park on the street as well. Most places will take credit card/venmo but I recommend having some cash, just in case.

We picked it up at the back of the store and then spent some time browsing the aisles of imported snacks. The store is large, well organized, and well stocked. We got a few small containers of stuffed peppers for a side to our sub and they didn't make it back to the house. Everything was super fresh from the bread to the deli meats and the toppings. They slice the sub into manageable pieces for you which is super convenient. I think it's certainly worth the price because we had a big lunch for both of us and leftovers for under $20.
