Upon online check-out for both household items and groceries, it even shows my delivery instructions are attached to the order, and several deliverers have confirmed them having easy access to the delivery instructions whereby mine says QUOTE I'm paraplegic & not able to reach items placed at side porch & cant carry items up the steep ramp. They need delivered to my back porch. Once you come down the sidewalk to the patio, you will see a wheelchair ramp that leads up to the back porch. Thank you END QUOTE but BILLION DOLLAR walmarts consistently hires careless drivers and provided VERY LITTLE training for how they are to conduct their job. I have repeatedly reported to walmart the problems of their own delivery drivers and also FedEx (often works for walmart for delivering customer's orders placed on walmarts website) who wont follow delivery instructions and I outlined the obvious problems it causes and especially to people who are disabled, but walmarts CONSISTENTLY has carelessly given their formatted shallow reply of "we are sorry for the inconvenience and we strive to.... blah blah blah" but like most other times, then NOTHING is actually done about the problems. and so WE'RE CONSTANTLY being LIED to and MANIPULATED by walmarts !!! This morning I placed my grocery order with them which consisted of frozen dinners, cheeses, eggs, and other foods that require staying refrigerated and frozen. A few hours later I received the email from walmarts saying my order was completed and out for delivery, and so I then waited for them to show up. I seen the delivery guy pull up in my driveway and he immediately got out and started grabbing bags of groceries. I seen he was dropping my food at my side porch at the front corner of the house AND SO HE'S NOT EVEN READING THE DELIVERY INSTRUCTIONS! By the time I was able to get outside ask what the hell is his problem, he had already gotten in his vehicle and left. Not even a simple and quick knock on my door to let me know the groceries are here! I then got back in the house to look up Steubenville walmarts customer serv phone number. After nearly 30 minutes and several calls, a worker finally answered and I told her the problem. She sounded clueless as to what should be done and she said QUOTE All I can do is send a text to his phone since drivers rarely answer calls, and since he doesn't speak much English, we just have to wait and see if he can read it if he even checks his messages, and we're not allowed to send another driver to help you END QUOTE Oh and I have this phone call recorded if anyone thinks I'm making ANYTHING up. After companies management and countless people in comment sections questioned the credibility of my claims, I started recording calls approx 10 years ago in order to irrefutably PROVE things were said/done in the manner which I said they were said/done From there I said its supposed to be near 45 degrees today, there's perishable food and its even worse when the sun is beaming right on the groceries .... I dont want spoiled eggs, cheeses, or frozen dinners that start to thaw and then are no good after they are refrozen. She replied with saying " you should call neighbors and have them help carry the groceries into your house for you." I told her that is RIDICULOUS ... I dont have their phone numbers and I'm in a WHEELCHAIR and so how am I supposed to get through my muddy gravel driveway and then get up to their porches where I can even knock on their door! Her silence told me all I needed to know and I then asked why is MULTI-BILLION DOLLAR walmart hiring LESS-THAN-HALF-AZZED workers who also barely speak English, and she replied with how their store doesn't do the hiring but the main walmarts does...as if that answers my direct question! I then said so what am I supposed to do about MY FOOD. She then actually replied with merely saying its an unfortunate situation and she doesn't know what to tell me! We asked to see a manager and he said they were short handed and the cake decorator was on vacation this week. I told the other cashier what had just happened. She said "That's my boss. He uses tobacco." So I asked to speak with a manager. She said "He IS the manager." I did talk with the assistant manager who told me the same thing. So apparently because the Steubenville store has this new manager who came there about a year ago from the Robinson Twp store, there is NOTHING they can do about him using tobacco on the job, and ultimately SPITTING while handling customers' food! The Kroger employee accepted and scanned the coupons, as usual, returning none for being invalid. (In the past, coupons rejected for one reason or another would be handed back with an explanation) None of the coupons was handed back nor was any comments offered to suggest any of them was not valid. I'm listing here, to the best of my memory, the coupons I redeemed: 1.$10.off Kroger Grocery order over $100. 2.$2.00 off 3 Tony's frozen pizzas 3.$1.40 off preferred deli sliced ham 4.$1.55 off one pound ground beef 5.$.55 off gal Kroger 2% milk (I'm honestly not certain of the 1.55 coupon for the ground beef. It may have been 1..40 or 1.60) If you shop in the Kroger app and pick up your order, you know that at the point of pickup is the time to present your coupons. Once the Kroger employee scans your valid coupons the total cost of your order is reduced by their total value. You don't get a paper receipt handed to you. However by the time you get home an updated receipt is in the app. Which you can check to learn your final total. NONE, of the $15+ in coupons was credited against the total of $137.65. on this receipt Within the app I accessed the help link and sent an email with the above information. I got the standard form letter(email) all gushy, about how sorry they are and how they strive for customers satisfaction and would I send them copies of each of the coupons? I responded that I gave the coupons to the Kroger employee and I didn't make copies. However I had listed those coupons in my original email. They responded a day later, asking for my customer loyalty number. Which I provided. Another day passes and they again respond by requesting the grocery order number. Which I provided. Another day passes and now they again request the total amount of the coupons. I've already provided this to them more than once and I'm done with these tactics. I responded that I'm done with this game because they could have easily compared the well itemized receipt against the valid coupons that they regularly mail to determine the validity of my claim. Kroger can only compete with other grocers with sales and coupons. Absent honoring their own coupons there's no incentive to shopping at Kroger. So I no longer will. Carefully check your receipts. It's unlikely that my experience is a first. If you're a Kroger shopper keep your phone video camera running during pickup and make copies of your coupons before handing them over. Unless of course a $15+ loss is not a deal breaker for you.
