Very very bad customer service. We have bought cakes and every single time the cake pieces fall off. They seem to be stacked without sticking and always manage to fall off no matter what. Today this happened once again more than twice at this point Our cakes we buy each time always always fall off even with all the carefulness given when going home!!!! Super bad, DO NOT RECOMMEND . We kept buying thinking this wouldn't happen once more and IT JEEPS HAPPENING. The senior lady with glasses and the young teenage cashier girls have super bad attitude towards us and their customers in general. Again, do not recommend this location treats customers super badly. This small Mexican convenience store has THE BEST croissants in town. This is a typical Mexican convenience store but they have a fully functioning bakery inside. You can buy almost any of the sweets and not be disappointed. I recommend the boudine (bread pudding), tres leches (creamy white cake) and, of course, the croissants. The boudine is a semi sweet bread pudding with a subtle citrus and vanilla flavoring. The tres leches is a white cake layered with whip cream and sitting in a pool of sweet milk creme. All of these delicious confections are very inexpensive. Next time you want to have a fun tasting experience come here and grab a bunch of these treats and share them with your friends! read more

Got lengua and fresh shrimp for shrimp flautas here. I was surprised at the price of the lengua 29 dollars for 4 pounds but dear god was it worth it . Everything from this store is so fresh ! The lengua was so tender and perfect and the shrimp was as fresh as it comes. My partner came to this store intimidated by all of its offerings but was greeted by the friendly manager who helped him locate all the goodies. Visited this Mercado for the first time... wow, it's like going into this market back home in Santa Barbara called Super Cucas on Micheltorena, which has a market and the best burritos anywhere!!! Becerra's has an amazing assortment of pastries... every where I looked there were more coming out. They also had a lot of marinated meats in the carniceria. About my receipt and won't give it to me with an attitude. denied it. I ask to cancel my order and she gets mad. People ask for your receipt and the list of items you are buying. Becerra's might be located in a run-down strip mall in a sketchy part of Vancouver, but don't let that scare you off. Small grocery stores like this don't stay in business 40 years without superior products, service and pricing. The meat selection alone is enough to get my pleasure juices flowing. You can find anything you need to cook traditional Mexican fare including hand-pounded cutlets for Milanesa, sliced and pre-seasoned pork for pastor tacos, and fresh chorizo made in house. Prices are shockingly low, from $3.99 to $4.99 a pound. Check out the freshly baked pan and pasteles too. Pasteles ar 60 cents each, and pan is 5 for $1. That's insane. Sure, a tweaker outside accosted me for cigarettes and "bus fare", but he was harmless. For these prices and selection I say tweak away, then step back because I'm on a mission for meat. read more

My favorite neighborhood shop. Whenever I need a missing ingredient for dinner I walk over to this place rather than driving to the grocery store. I can't say enough nice things about the staff of this place. They are freaking awesome people. The baked goods are killer. They have the best croissants in Vancouver: buttery and flaky with a hint of vanilla bean. Anything with the the cream filling is worth getting two of because you are inevitably going want another one. I know several area restaurants who buy their bread and meat from this market. Seriously, stop by and try one of their baked goods. You won't be disappointed. Also, they sell piñatas the size of a small adult if you're into that sort of thing. read more

Super friendly local Mexican bodega. Not a big place, they don't carry everything you can think of, but they do seem to carry everything you need. Fresh produce, yummy salsas, candies, panadaria stuff, you name it. Need a lottery ticket? Got it. Need to send $ to Mexico? Done. Need a religious candle? Gotcha covered. RIpe plantains? Check. One of the only local places I can find argentine products. So many choices of Yerba Mate! I came specifically looking for La Saltena brand of masa for empanadas. I didn't see it in their case, but I asked the owner and he had some in the back. He was attentive and kind and very helpful. I will definitely be back. read more

They have so much here, including the largest selection of yerba mate in the Portland/Vancouver region! Very impressed!

Super friendly staff, all bilingual as far as I can tell which is great because my Spanish is really lousy. My wife gets the house-made pork skins and I get some kind of pastry filled with cream cheese and jalapenos. The market is small and packed but what a selection . In the same tiny strip is a restaurant that advertises .99 tacos which was awesome too. read more
