I stopped last Saturday to finally check it out and saw they are only open M-F. Saturdays are the only day I'm out that way. This place is tough. I like to support local shops but they're not open at the times when I need to get coffee. Their prices are also astronomical. One bread item and a small coffee is $10.00. The people are kind and the shop has a cool vibe, but if you need coffee on the weekend or evening, you'll have to skip this one. read more

Such a special hidden gem!! A friend and I recently met for coffee here and were so glad we gave it a try. The employees were super kind and the space felt very open and welcoming. There are lots of comfy places to sit around the coffee shop that makes it the perfect spot to get work done or catch up with a friend. Not only it is a great environment with a friendly atmosphere, but the coffee is AMAZING. I got the Peppermint Mocha and it was the best one I've ever tasted, not exaggerating. The whipped cream even tasted homemade... so good! This is definitely our new go-to coffee spot! Even if it's a little drive for you, it'll be worth it, trust me. This is a relatively new coffee shop along the road between Joelton and Springfield. The small shop has been outfitted nicely, has just three tables inside, a couple more on an attached deck, and could well take a place in any coffee precinct, in any town. They serve coffee which they roast on the premises, and it's good. There is also a small selection of pastries and cakes made off the premises in Springfield. However, they have a distinct homemade taste to them. The coffee shop is open from 6am until 2pm Monday to Friday. I understand the hours will be extended as new staff are hired and trained. For the moment, it is not open on the weekend. However, if you are going past this little shop, drop in. The coffee's great. read more

This place is awesome! First of all, where else can you go that the owner asks you your name and takes an interest in you? The owner and staff make you feel welcomed and appreciated. Also, the coffee is amazing! I drink lattes regularly and theirs is the best I've ever had. The coffee has a naturally sweet flavor (not sugary or fake flavoring) and I don't really use much sugar in it because it's so good. I also got a latte for a friend who prefers more flavoring and sweetness and they were able to do that too. It's nice that they are accommodating and really want you to enjoy their coffee the way YOU like to drink it. Not always the case with other places. They also sell coffee beans and will grind them for you to take home. I've gotten beans for my espresso machine at home and there is a significant difference in the flavor of the espresso that you buy at the store. It is so fresh and so much better than store bought! Three things about this place that warrants 5 stars: 1) Atmosphere. The greeting you get from the family, even on the first visit, is outstanding. They will remember you, even your order. The sun shines in nicely in the morning and you can sit and drink/talk all you like. It's a comfortable and clean environment. 2) Coffee. The point of the matter. You know what you'll get at the Starbucks. It's the local joints that are interesting yet suspicious. Many have that "local source, free-range coffee bean" stuff that tastes like it was scorched and brewed through vinegar. No need to name names in the area, you've been there. The stuff they've got at Beck's is outstanding. I've been here once a week for 3-4 months now, not a bad cup or latte once. It's impeccable, really. You won't regret it, in fact, you'll want more. Clearly the best. 3) Baked goods. Are they lacking in variety? Maybe, what are you expecting!? It's a small start-up that serves coffee. Most people don't buy the baked goods. BUT, I recommend you try it. Get the banana bread. Or the banana bread and chocolate chips. They are small enough to enjoy with your entire cup and maybe just big enough to share too! They are soft, moist, tasty and just perfect. This is surprisingly true. You need to get one. This is a must stop for local coffee that tastes better than your typical trip to pikes place or caffe mocha at the Starbucks. read more
