What a delight to stop by this place. We stopped here for a break and good conversation. Strongest coffee in the area, plus the best ambiance! The drinks are great; I've had their partition (caramel macchiato), cuban and my personal fave, the vanilla latte. The only so-so one I've had was the pumpkin pie latte during fall. Nothing wrong with it, it's just not the sweet PSL from Starbucks or Scooters that I've become accustomed to. I once got an Apple strudel fresh out the oven there and it was heavenly... you must try one! First off, I would like to say that I come here often and normally have an excellent experience both with the staff and the coffee. This coffee shop is staffed by mainly young people who have great customer service skills and are very accommodating of your preferences. However, there is one woman (maybe the owner) who is a little older and generally rude and seems annoyed if you alter your coffee from the menu at all. I can't say that she has said anything specifically rude, but she's is very short with you and if she's running the drive through she just sticks the card reader out of the window and sort of ignores you during the payment process. I am also a little suspicious that she doesn't actually make the coffee how you ask, as my coffee tastes way worse when I order from her versus any other employee. Being someone who has just gotten into coffee, it's disappointing. Maybe I'm wrong, but is that not the whole schtick with coffee, everyone likes it a certain way? After a few times being there with her working, I'm tempted to walk out whenever she's there, because I never feel great about the customer service or the product I receive. Again, 99% of the the time I love the place, people, and coffee, however, it's not a good look for a local coffee shop that has a plethora of employees with excellent customer service to have one (who may be the owner) with below average customer service. I hope she reads this and reflects on the attitude she has when she clocks into her customer service based job. read more

I commute to Nash from KY fairly often. This shop is not far off the interstate and a great feel. The espresso is bold and flavorful which I like. Beans from none other than KY's Sunergos Roaster. New favorite spot to stop in or stay awhile when I'm passing through Whitehouse. read more
