Gosh, I wish I read reviews before we chose this store to buy from. I wanted to check it out because it's a local business but I don't think we will be back again. The customer service wasn't great and the person helping us was not knowledgeable. We picked out a fabric headboard and bed base. The associated was very clear we wouldn't need to buy anything else for the bed and that our mattress can be placed on the wood slats it comes with but that wasn't the case. The frame only came with 3 wood slats and we had to buy a whole different contraption with a lot more slats to support the bed. They don't sell those at Becker so that is probably why the associates lie because they don't even have the other part to sell us. Also, we have had the headboard for a while now. While it looks nice it still smells awful, continues to offhand chemicals and I really hope they are not terribly toxic but there is no way to know. I have contacted the store about this issue and never hear back. Overall, bad customer service and be careful what you buy! read more

I would never buy furniture from Becker Furniture again. In November 2020, I went into the Minnetonka store to purchase a dining room set that was on sale. The Selling Manager, Chris Clouthier, talked me into a whole different set built by "Simply Amish". I kept trying to get information about the set that was on sale but he kept directing me back to this set. The set was around $5,000 so not inexpensive. It was delivered in April 2021 and within a couple of months, I noticed light scratches on the surface even though we had used placemats as protection for the handful of times we ate at the table. This product is clearly made with too soft of wood for dinner use. I reached out to Becker and have been told they only guarantee product defects for 7 days and because I was outside of the 7 day period they would not cover it. Simply Amish has said I could send the product to be fixed for $3,200. I have gone back and forth and received no resolution from Becker or Simply Amish. I would give them a zero rating but the review makes me give at least one star and not buy from Becker or Simply Amish again. read more

We have not yet received our new loveseat, but I would like comment on the saleperson - Eric Estrada, who helped us. He was knowledgeable, courteous, and an all around pleasure to work with. He went that extra mile to find another pillow that we liked at another location so we would have a matched set. We look forward to receiving our new loveseat! read more

We placed an order June 26 and were told delivery would Be 8-10 weeks. The shipment was delayed 2 additional months. Communication with management was poor and we were told after 15 weeks of waiting to deselect new furniture. We requested a call 2 t from the general manager and never received a call back or email response. We cancelled our order and will not use Becker again. If you go there, ask details about the shipping. We were given multiple different answers and eventually learned it would not ship until they had a minimal Order. Very frustrating experience and significant time wasted calling to request information and then waiting for furniture. My advise is to shop elsewhere. Updated as of 10/9 I sent a detailed email at the request of Becker (6 days ago) and have not received a follow up response. So again-communication and customer service is poor. read more

We went to Becker asking to look at leather couches. Our sales person told us the one we were considering on the 'good, better, best scale' was the 'best'. We bought that couch and several other pieces of furniture as well as the protection plan. Imagine my surprise when I made a claim on that couch because of rips in the cushion and was told it was vinyl. Only parts of the couch are leather. My receipt says the couch is leather. After 2 months and several phone calls I ended up having to pay to have the cushion replaced. I was told by a really rude guy at Becker that a fully leather couch would have been really expensive. I didn't ask anyone there to monitor how much I spent. We asked for leather! They said the sales person probably wasn't aware. We were mislead. The protection plan is a joke. They don't stand behind their sales staff or take responsibility for them. We'll NEVER go back! read more

I have to agree with all negative reviews of the Mtka Becker Furniture store. I purchased a recliner from them that I had chosen the fabric for - so special order. I was unhappy with the rocker from the minute it was delivered as the fabric was pulling, not straight, off kilter, bunched up in places and the whole chair just looked "wonky" because of it. It took me several calls to determine that I would need to work with the company who manufactured the rocker rather than the Becker store even tho I too had purchased the extra coverage for free replacement. The manufacturer sent a box to me that sat at my house for quite some time until a person came and replaced some of the fabric and foam. Still looks like %*#*. Called Becker. Called manufacturer - they had "done all they could" and I still had a crappy looking piece of furniture. Recommended I call the extra care insurance I had purchased, did that and unless I had a "rip, tear or a large spill on the chair" nothing could be done. I asked if I should dump a bottle of red wine on the seat then send a picture. No response. Chris Clouthier was my sales person at Becker and was SO unhelpful in getting anything resolved. I purchased a recliner that was poorly upholstered and looks like it may have been involved in an accident on the delivery truck. I will NEVER go to Mtka Becker again. read more

Maybe I'm too easy to impress, but the Becker delivery guys made my day. They had a fun door knock and a flower in hand to give me. I can't remember when they were supposed to deliver besides around or by 1:15. It's noon on the dot and they are here. This means that I don't need to wait around all afternoon. We ordered a mattress from Becker in Minnetonka, but we received one that had a manufacturer's defect. Becker's customer service arranged for a replacement right away, but the second one also had a defect. But again, their customer service was wonderful, and they took care of it all with no hassle at all. I think that the way a company deals with situations when things go wrong is a true test of good customer service, and Becker definitely made things right. I will definitely buy from them again simply because of the excellent customer service. read more

A few weeks back I posted a negative review due to the fact that I believed the sales associate mislead me on the delivery date. I removed that review after speaking with a Manager at Becker. I'm adding this review because when I called Becker on 1/18 to cancel my order and receive a refund, I was told they would pass it on to the local office (Minnetonka). I had not heard anything so I called the office on 1/20 and was told that my order would be canceled that day and that I would be issued a refund and I would receive an email once they processed the cancelation. I didn't receive an email so I called again today (1/25) and the person that I spoke with said that he received the email to cancel my order but didn't know that he was supposed to issue a refund on my card. Sigh... This was my first experience with Becker. It definitely will be my last. read more

We bought a love seat and sofa a few months back. We received our sofa and it was defective as the recliner did not work and are still waiting on a replacement and have to receive the love seat as delivery continually gets pushed back. Customer service has been terrible as we continue to get the run around with no resolution, no exchange and no updates. I have to note our sales guy Juan is amazing and super responsive however he has not been able to get the issue resolved with customer service. read more

We bought a sofa, swivel chair and rug from Becker's Minnetonka store, and it was just delivered. This was our first visit (and purchase) from Becker, and it was a very satisfying experience. We started working with Adam, who was relatively new but very helpful. We wanted a durable but comfortable sofa in neutral tones, a swivel chair in a complementary pattern, and an area rug that tied it together. He brought one of his store managers into the discussion, and having that extra experienced point-of-view was beneficial. In addition, he brought in his store's design consultant, who had tons of experience, and he picked patterns that we probably wouldn't have picked ourselves but when they were all laid side by side, we could see what he saw. (Picking patterns to go with other patterns is not for the faint of heart.) Also, for some reason the style of swivel chair (with a contrasting pillow) we wanted to order could not be placed in their system, so we selected a style that didn't come with the pillow, and the manager threw in a separate pillow for free. Lastly, they promised delivery within eight weeks, and it actually was ready early. The delivery guys were even early on delivery day! (The cable industry could learn something from you guys.) They helped move some things around and were out of there in about ten minutes. All in all, the furniture looks great in our living room. Overall, my impression is that they are not the cheapest (e.g., delivery is the same $99 if you order one piece or 8 pieces), but they're not the most expensive either. The total came to just under $2000 for a custom upholstered sofa and chair and a 5x8 rug, but we had a great experience in their store, and the furniture looks great. No regrets, and we'll certainly return. FYI, this Huseby family business is worth your patronage; they do a lot of great things for the community. read more

We were told by our salesperson to look over our furniture in detail upon arrival. We did and also received a call the same day from an associate asking us if our delivery went well? We informed her it did however, as instructed we looked over the furniture and two specific concerns. She asked we send her photos which we did that day. We have made attempts to contact her with no response back. We have contacted the store and receive a hand off each time to sales or customer service with no resolution. We have now had the furniture over a month. This particular set was available elsewhere and online but we wanted to support a local business. The unfortunate part is that I know if we had this issue with Wayfair etc. they would have resolved it immediately. read more

I hate to pile on with the bad reviews, but I had a horrible experience with Becker Furniture World. They made commitments on delivery dates that they could not meet. In fact the only way I knew it would be delayed was because I followed up. Even then, despite many commitments to follow up on the issue from Becker, the only time I got any information is when I continued to follow up with them. Emails went unanswered so I had to stop in the store on multiple occasions to get any answers. Bottom line is they made commitments at the time of purchase that they could not meet. And then went dark providing any information that in fact the delivery had been significantly delayed. Only way I found anything out was because of my own persistence in visiting the store or calling them on several occasions. Once they sale is made they don't seem to be too concerned about any customer service after that. I formally owned a 90 store national retail chain. I have seen and dealt with many retail customer issues. As a former retail executive, the customer service I experienced with Becker is just unfathomable to me. read more

All future customers at Becker Furniture World please read!!!!!! Becker Furniture World customer service is terrible. Seems like all they care about is getting your money and once they have you're money, you are no longer a customer of theirs because every time you call to get help you get transferred. It feels like they are just hoping that you just give up and accept the fact that your furniture that you bought from them no longer works. We brought a power loveseat and couch from becker in January of 2017, it came in April of 2017. When we got the furniture one of the chairs had a spot on it and we called to have it looked at or fix....thats where the nightmare started. My wife call to have it fixed and when you call be prepared to get transferred multiple times. After finally getting a hold of someone to have a technician come out to take a look at it. The technician tried to clean the fabric but was unsuccessful so he put the order in to have a new fabric ordered come to find out that didn't happen so we had to wait another two weeks for them to send a replacement chair out. When all said and done it was about a two-month process and we asked what they could do for us and we said we like the money back or a discount and now we find out that our warranty is voided. Which brings me to today. It's been a year now and we have two right arm power recliners chairs that no longer work. I have one chair that's stuck in recline position and the other one doesn't even work. I called last week to try to get this issue resolved. I called once and got transferred twice another day I called and left a message and never got a phone call back. I called today and spent almost an hour on the phone while being transferred to seven different people. When you get hold of somebody they said they couldn't put a ticket in because I needed the receipt or something like that, and I'm like don't you have all the information on the computer. The woman I spoke with said she was going to check into it and give me a call back I don't feel confident that this will get resolved. I'll give you an update later. Becker Furniture World customer service is terrible. I even tried calling the corporate office to talk to management there and was unsuccessful. We were very disappointed with our experience at Becker. It took about 8 weeks to receive our furniture and when we received the furniture a piece of the furniture was entirely incorrect. We did not receive notice about this until the delivery company (separate from Becker) delivered the piece. The customer service was very poor in trying to resolve this matter (which has still not been resolved) and they were more focused on new sales versus aiding existing customers and building upon those relationships. We would not recommend this company to friends or family. read more
