( I neglected to drain the water line before the brutally cold winter. My fault). I've been a premium customer for multiple years: $49/month which assigns priority for service calls and reduced charges. The tech installed a Pex line, replaced the existing outside shut off lever with a standard faucet and patiently explained how to drain the water line to the outside before freezing weather sets in next winter. The tech was here approx. 2 hours, and was not a licensed plumber. The bill? $1,113.00. I'd expected a bill for much less, maybe in the range of $500-$600. (Addendum: I knew I would be charged a service fee but the bill was not itemized and the office could not determine in advance what other charges might be incurred, so I could not anticipate in advance what the final bill might be. ) I'm calling Curtis tomorrow to discuss the bill and request an adjustment. Time to rethink doing business with Curtis. There are other service companies that provide comprehensive home maintenance for HVAC, furnace, electrical and plumbing. ........ UPDATE: The operations manager returned my call and offered to reduce the overall bill by $110.00. Revised final bill: $1,052. The ops manager also approved an email coupon for $150. to be applied to any future work. Based on the company's timely response and efforts to address my concerns, I am changing my rating from 3 stars to 4 stars.

Do not use this company!!! We had a brand new install completed last year, the install was…read morecompleted incorrectly and now every time the unit runs it whistles through the house. They have been out multiple times and can't seem to fix the issue. Reading about causes of the whistling online everything points to a bad install and they refuse to fix the issue. I am at the point of wearing ear plugs to bed because the whistling is that bad. In addition the unit has broken down a minimum of 4 times so far, each time it has been a "bad board". We just had them in last week to fix why the AC was not cooling and it was another "bad board". It hasn't even been 3 days and the AC is not running again. It is unacceptable that a brand new unit has broken down this much in the last year. My advise, use someone else!
