Each time there were major branches or full tree removal on a tree that was adjacent, and substantially hung over my house so it was VERY critical that they cut and lowered down each branch to avoid hitting our roof. Here are a few specific details... Staff/Team: When you watch them working, you can see and appreciate that they really know what they are doing and how to cut and lower down huge branches to avoid house damage. One of the trees I just had removed had quite a few obstructions which the team either moved or was able to work around. In 2017 they removed some major branches that were above my "Glass Sun Room"... This was EXTREMELY important that they did it right since even a small branch falling would have broken the glass roof. They did EXCELLENT jobs on all of the above. Also the team is very friendly and engaging and great to talk with when either they or I had questions or comments. Midwest Tools: MW has obviously invested in all the right state of the art tools including a bucket lift crawler to allow the chain sawwer to get way up into the trees, and a log hauling crawler to haul away the big/huge logs. Both of these have rubber tracks to minimize lawn and landscape damage. Even the team/workers safety helmets have built in 2 way radios so the entire team can easily converse as they do their job. And when they are done, they do an excellent job cleaning up and raking up sticks, scraps, and leaves. Price: Their price is fair considering all the work they do, the tools they use, and the care and safety that they don't cause any damage to my house. I would NEVER let any other service work above my house or glass sun room. Also 2 of the times I had them place the bigger logs at the back of my property for me to cut up for firewood whereas 2 of the times, they hauled everything away. We recently had a tree that created a bit of drama for our poor sweet next door neighbors. We had a…read moreskinny tall dead tree that we intended to remove this summer, but let's just say the tree didn't want to wait that long and one of its larger branches took a dive and landed on our neighbor's car and caused some damage to their gutter. We all agreed to get a quote to get the tree trimmed, but then the snow came...and then the cold weather set in...and the strong wind wildly ripped off another really big branch into a bush and onto our neighbor's driveway. Oh man, what a freaking disaster! On the coldest night of the year, we grabbed another neighbor and together we teamed up to get the branch off their property. Since I totally and completely don't blame my neighbors for wanting the rest of the tree to come down, we agreed to share the cost and hire Eagle Tree Service for the job. These guys are ninja tree whisperers. In no time at all there was one guy on a ladder with a rope and a chainsaw, and another guy with a rope who was in charge of making sure the ginormous tree didn't lean too much to the left and destroy our house, or too much to the right and hit our neighbors' house again. This tree was a dividing line between our houses, and there was no room for error. They did a precise and professional job, and I'm looking forward to hiring them to trim other trees on our property...hopefully not until the summer. *Reasonably priced, but it was a skinny tree and not a giant oak.

Their price was reasonable, they were prompt in all communications and in getting the work done, and their attention to the details of doing the job and cleaning up afterward were superb. I literally could have held all debris remaining in one hand; there was scarcely any sawdust to be seen and NO leaves or twigs left lying around. Also, there was NO impact on the lawn. Aside from the tree being gone you wouldn't have known we'd had anything done at all. I had asked them to leave the wood so I could use it for firewood, which they agreed to do. Everything was cut into firewood sized lengths and was gathered together and not left lying around haphazardly. I originally asked for everything over 3" to be left. Their policy is to leave only wood over 6" for the customer, but they were willing to do the extra work to accommodate my request. I ended up not choosing to have them cut and leave the smaller pieces but they were clearly willing to work with me to meet my needs. Stump removal (grinding) is offered but we chose not to have it done because the stump was cut so cleanly and close to the ground. I highly recommend Balmes. Good people, great service.

The crew that came out were quick, clean, and very careful of the surrounding plants and my neighbors property. They did have to come out separately to grind the stump, but I believe that was due to the rainy conditions during the tree removal.

I emailed, called, and texted them for an estimate to have a tree removed and so far (after weeks) they have never replied. So if you can get them to come out and do the work, they are GREAT! But beware, you may need to look elsewhere because they just flat out ghost you. I even verified that I paid them just in case maybe I forgot or something.
