Third time using Becker's. Used twice in my old house and recently in my new. Was recommended to me by several neighbors and it was a great recommendation. Office staff is courteous and helpful. Estimator came out quickly with a good price. Guys on job were professional and took precautions not to cause damage to our property. The workers at this service are rude and disrespectful. They went to take tress down at a neighbors house- but proceeded to back onto our back yard- back up their trucks in our driveway while the kids were playing outside. They never asked permission. When I said something- they told me to f$$@@ off. They left a mess behind as well. I would never recommend. Steer clear unless you like verbal abuse!! read more

My wife and I hired Becker's Tree Service for here in Neptune Twp.to remove an 80' tall White Pine tree ,remove a few leads off a large Cherry tree next to it between our property and my neighbor's yard and also prune,remove dead wood and shape our large flowering Cherry tree in the front of our yard. We had gotten four quotes total from different companies. Steve and his crew showed up promptly at 8:30 am on July 1st 2021 and entire job was completed and cleaned up by 12 pm. Crew was very polite and professional and respectful of our's and our neighbor's property. We will definitely use their services again in the future if needed and highly recommend them. read more

I needed land cleared and a couple of trees removed along the property line so I could have a fence installed. I made the mistake of initially hiring a different tree service company who ultimately did not do the job to my satisfaction. Becker's saved the day. Not only did Becker's meet my expectations, they exceeded expectations by going above and beyond what I had even asked them to do. Thanks to Becker, the yard looks great and I am able to have the fence installed. While the other tree service company stated they were unable to adequately clear the land in its current condition, Becker's handled it without issue. It has been one year since Becker Tree Service accidentally crashed into and knocked down the 2 story tree which grew in front of my house while working on my neighbor's property. I have called Becker's office and spoken to the secretary or to Mr Becker personally almost monthly over the past year to try to get the tree replaced with a sapling (nothing can replace the beautiful, mature tree that once shaded my front yard). Mr Becker personally told me in December 2017 twice that he would replace the tree within the week. Everything Mr Becker said has been a complete lie. Becker tree service was working at my neighbor's house and the driver knocked down my tree. My little girl and I came running out when we heard a huge crash. They were unable to negotiate this block with a planted median in the road without destroying property. I am shocked at Mr Becker's continuance to ignore this matter. On the phone to me he blew it off, saying those trees are a dime a dozen. For a year Mr Becker has been callous and unprofessional, rarely returning phone calls and failing to plant a tree. My seven-year-old looked at the hole where the tree had been yesterday and asked me "Mama when is our tree going to grow." That's really pathetic. Becker, come up here and clean up your mess just like I do in my own business and just like all good business owners should. read more

I had no problem with the actual work, only what happened after. They tried to charge additional money....cash only. We paid for everything upfront and nothing changed with the scope of the work. We just had Becker's trim some very large trees, some near the house and over the driveway. It did not appear the former owner had ever trimmed for dead wood or overhangs. Team led by Danny was great. He knew I was nervous and he was very patient to point out his perspective on what would benefit the tree--and of course us. As a result I think we were much happier than had someone just come in with a chain saw slicing and dicing. I could tell he loved trees. They were very efficient and the price was good. We hired Becker's Tree Service to remove two trees at the back of our property in a very tight spot between our bee hives, a new fence and a shed. The team arrived promptly and fully equipped with any and all machinery and equipment to take out the trees. I say "take out" the trees because they did not take "down" the trees but rather lift them up from this very tight spot. Amazingly, the trees were strapped and cut at the bottom and lifted into the air, over the house and into the street where they were promptly run through the chipper. Very professional crew just came and cleared limbs down on my roof and my neighbor's roof due to a storm. Each of the crew of 4 were courteous and conscious of roof damage, neighbor relationships, clean-up etc. The lead was great - very conscious of making sure the neighbors are happy - and stayed around to answer my questions. The crew also cleaned up branches not related to the job before they began. As for price I can't tell you if it was expensive. 500 bucks for a crew of 4 (all of whom were working and active) for more than 2 hours with all the equipment seems ok to me. This turned into a no-fuss job with no help required from me. Thanks guys! read more

The owner bullied my 90 year old recently widowed mother. She received a quote from another tree company that was a third of the cost. When she complemented his company but mentioned the price discrepancy to Becker's Tree Service, the owner laughed and threatened to raise his price significantly. I don't think any tree service provided could compensate for such terrible customer service. What could possibly justify such unkindness? This world as it is doesn't need men like him being mean to a vulnerable older woman. I discourage anyone from supporting this company. read more

I call Becker ever few years for tree trimming and they do a great job. I find theirs prices are inline with the work they do.

Engaged Becker for a substantial amount of tree work. Steve, the owner suggested we hire a crew on a daily basis which turned out to be an ideal way of approaching our long neglected trees. The crew worked steadily for 10 days and did an outstanding job. They handled all my requests and the reasonable ones from any of our residents. Missing or stolen property. Had to clean up crew's trash. I go back with Becker's since the early 80s as I worked with Steve Becker's partner's wife and used them for tree work in the past. Recently hired them to trim my Red Oak. While we were away one day, they asked if they could move up our appointment even though we were not going to be home. We said OK (big mistake). When we got home there was trash in the driveway (fresh empty cigarette carton in the driveway by the work site next to the house), empty plastic food containers in our empty trash can, and a missing solar lantern. Thinking it was moved out of harm's way I looked for it. Couldn't find it. My wife called Steve Becker. He was indifferent essentially asking my wife, "What do want me to do about it?" No apologies, no "shock" that it happened. Just passed it off on his foreman Gil who was extremely apologetic but offered no reason why our property went missing. Was told to deduct the cost of the solar lantern from the bill. My son-in-law has a successful tree business in Virginia and would never be so glib, let along leave his work site messy with customer's property damaged or stolen. read more
