Getting water running again was our priority but he suggested starting on the leaks. Not long after beginning, Bub's father told me they couldn't attach their fitting to the well line because water was coming through; realizing my well line is gravity-fed after beginning. I had to pull the well line above the water level myself before they could install a shut-off valve. My well cover is about 300lbs and the line is 8ft down. I'm not sure what their plan would've been if I was not there. After saying the water was flowing again, they later told me my pump was done for and not to run it. They quoted $925 for a new pump, not including labor. With two hours of labor, the bill also came to $925 and my family was no closer to having running water. The materials installed were six feet of copper pipe, several compression fittings, a shut off valve, and a pipe hanger. I called another plumber afterward, who knew right away (just from a phone call) that my pump was fine. He had it running smoothly in minutes by clearing a port of sediment and then adjusting the pressure switch. Bub talked a lot about his experience and showed up with help but needed me to find a way to stop the water in order to address the first leak and then either missed or ignored the step that would've gotten my pump working. Their website claims they're transparent and budget-friendly, but I wasn't told his extreme rate upfront, the bill wasn't itemized (still waiting 9 days after he confirmed he would), and I nearly paid for an unnecessary pump replacement. Leaving 2 stars because the copper work itself was solid, but charging $250 per hour for six feet of easily accessible pipe work feels unreasonable. Being given the wrong diagnosis on the pump was unacceptable and raises concerns about their expertise or honesty.

A few months ago, I had some siding done on the house and the last day at my house, one of the contractors put a sheet-rock screw through the power lead to one of the mini-splits. Unfortunately, it rendered all of the mini-splits inactive and I called ARC to fix. I was the one who discovered the screw through the wire so I told them what was, at least, the initial problem. ARC told me that I needed a licensed electrician to fix the power lead even though their installation tech (who's not an electrician) wired it in over a year ago. So I had to fix the wire before they'd even come out to my house. After I fixed the wire, they arrived late on a Friday when I wasn't even home and did some trouble-shooting. An hour and a half later they came to the conclusion that there were 3 blown fuses and left. 2-weeks and a couple of my phone calls later, they finally received the fuses and came back to my house to install them. My siding people also left some of the "line-hide" duct work off and ARC's guys attempted to put it back together. Two hours later, they finally gave up and said that the "wire-hide" had been modified and I might need some new pieces. So after 3.5 hours of labor I had a working AC but the "line-hide" duct-work, remains unfinished. ARC also charged me $24 for a truck-charge. Would this have been waived if they didn't bring their truck? To add insult to injury, the water heater that ARC installed at the same time as the AC system starting leaking around a "crimp" fitting. Apparently soldering is passe! Obviously they are choosing not fix the water heater under warranty either! I realize that a lot of this problem was not ARC's fault but what they did after the fact pisses me off. Can't fix a wire with a screw in it? Hour and half to find 3 blown fuses? 2-weeks to get these (highly specialized) fuses? 2 hours to figure out that the "line-hide" had been modified? How about some good will because the water heater is leaking through one of their lousy crimp fittings? Lastly, the service manager Scott, took two weeks to get back me and tell me "It is what it is". I'm paying the bill ($384) but they'll get no recommendation from me!

I really can't comment on the quality of their work as it won't show up until later, but he did spend a lot of time trying to sell me additional services, advising me that it would be $149 additional if I didn't sign up for it right away. He reminded me of a used car salesman. I ran into a friend who was familiar with them and he had a similar opinion. I would not hire them again. PS I could have done the work they did in about an hour if I was 20 years younger. It cost almost $400.

I contacted them using their webform, and unfortunately,.. before reading other reviews regarding this fee that they charge and ended up passing on using them when they contacted me. There's many other excellent electricians in the area that won't charge you a penny to come by and with no obligations to use them. That's the way we ended up going and we'll still have the excellence of service at a very competitive price. I'm sure Lloyd's is a great company and this review is not suggesting otherwise, but, do you want to spend $149 to end up not even using them? Lloyd's might consider a new policy for 2025, ..."your $149 estimate fee will be credited to your work", in-other-words, if you went with using Lloyd's, they would credit you that $149 back. Sadly, that is not their policy. Yet.
