This is the most biased and unprofessional banking experience I have ever encountered. Despite already having an open account and a credit card with this institution, I was suddenly locked out of my online banking for "unclear reasons." When I called customer service, I was told I must physically go to a branch and provide--not one, but ALL of the following: my ID, Social Security card, three years of tax returns, utility bills, pay stubs, and a letter of employment. When I asked for a reason, neither the agent nor the supervisor could provide one. The most glaring proof of their prejudice? They claimed they couldn't verify my identity for online access, yet they offered to send me an online form to close the account. If I'm not verified enough to see my balance, how am I verified enough to close the account? It is clear this bank makes snap judgments based on accents and background. There was a limitation to a digital transaction I had to make online, so I reluctantly (maybe grumpily is a more apt description) looked up the nearest bank and dropped by. I walked in to find ATMs in front and a few folks being helped at desks in the back. Before I even had a chance to get on the waitlist, a nice young lady happily greeted me and asked how she could help. Great start! I explained the problem and she worked quickly to make the transaction that I needed, and without asking, asked me if I wanted to setup a recurring transaction. Yes, please! I was thrilled to be in and out in about 10 minutes! If that weren't enough, the service was stellar! Unfortunately, I didn't catch the tellers name, but I was impressed by the quality service. Basic needs of members never ever had I had a problem with BECU till today long line in Everett no problems atm everywhere no problems missing password no problems So I needed one piece of paper to be notarized which WATCH THE (S) BECU offers FREE to memberS and non memberS this service which if you look on web or app it SERVICE (S) remember the services plural meaning multiple as in help you with all your needS not just if you bring your own paperS however they do not offer to print said paper nor does it say that online or in the app so I was told by two employeeS we can't print that for because it not part of the service (S) I was basically told to kick rocks to go somewhere else I guess all the paperwork that was printed for HELO AND CAR LOANS ARE OK BUT NOT WHEN IT COMES TO SERVICE (S) Wow BECU you can do better been member since I can remember so I had to call the 800 numbers to complain and yet still some kid on the line can say sorry we don't offer that service and mind you they said I should've called first when it clearly says SERVICES WITH (S) hell they didn't even offer to charge me for printing the paper is that was the problem I get it ink paper isn't cheap when you add up all they go through as a credit union but don't offer SERVICES if you don't plan to help So note to anyone make Sure you bring your own paperS because they not gonna help you print something unless it's a loan from them said thing is my 1st grader has more smarts then these guys SERVICE AND SERVICES ARE TWO DIFFERENT THINGS AND FOR MOST PART AT THIS POINT I WONT BOTHER WITH THEM AND GO ELSEWHERE PAY THE MONEY AND TIME TO ACTUALLY GET HELP FROM SOMEONE THAT APPRECIATE MY MONEY AND TIME AND OFFER SERVICES just her to get a LAME RESPONSE. This is absolutely the worst customer service I have ever received. I am shocked at how unhelpful the employees are at this location, and are completely unable to help with an atm issue or deposit money. What's more, they aren't able to provide me the address of another location that can take a physical deposit. I was told it's the Everett location and that was all of the information they would provide. BECU ATM has an error and ate$100 of a deposit, gave the rest back to me. 5-7 days before they can audit and credit. At the earliest. Went to a branch to deposit the remaining money and they said I had to use the ATM. I explained the issue. I explained that I could get by waiting for the $100, but if there was another error, it would cause a hardship. They said I had too much money in my account to guarantee a deposit, in the event of another atm error, and the bank manager proceeded to have me explain how I was spending the money in my accounts. "You have enough money to afford waiting for audit, if there is another atm error." When I asked him to give my a copy of everything I signed, he made me explain to him why I wanted copies before he would make the copies. I closed my account. read more

Worst banking experience ever. Good luck ever talking to a human on the phone or actually getting to see a bank teller. You use a electric system to check in and every time I go in it's 30+ min wait just to be greeted and told you still have 4 people ahead of you. Take your money somewhere else. read more

It's mind boggling how a bank could be teller less... drive 35 minutes to get to a bank that's a glorified atm Update to the business owners response... Then you need to make it explicitly known that it's not an actual bank cause I drove an hr there on google maps to cash a check from a customer and then had to drive to Everett and wait in a line with about 120 customers in it after Boeing bought the property google maps tries to route you to get to that BECU so basically BECU needs to step it up and get some of these issues figured out... definitely keeping me from banking there I'll tell ya that read more

I had a problem with a person who purported to be, but was not, an Amazon employee. I gave him some information that I shouldn't have. I immediately went into the nearest BECU to get help. I had the best help ever!! Nate listened, asked me some questions and got right to work fixing everything. He was patient, efficient and solved the problem. I will remain a great fan. read more

We couldn't be happier with the service and dedication Steven Grisham and BECU did on getting us a home loan with the lowest interest rates and fewer fees then any other loan officer had offered us. We must say we thought it would be a difficult thing to do but with Stevens help everything was very easy. He was always there to answer our questions and helped us understand everything we didn't know along the way. He also did an amazing job in getting escrow done in a short amount of time, which was every important in getting our offer excepted because the seller wanted to close in a short amount of time. Pointless branch. They can't do anything for me. Can't take deposit or do anything a normal branch can do. Unless you count ATM deposits and in that case there is no reason for a brick and mortar store that wastes our money, might as well just plop an ATM there instead. This is the worst. Newly married, wanted to open a joint savings account. After spending an hour there the first time they tell us we need more i.d. for my new last name. We go home, come back with more i.d. We had 6 forms of i.d. in front of them and they still had problems. After an argument and no manager being there, we went to Wells Fargo and opened an account within an hour. These girls had no idea what they're reading on credit reports and discriminated for a name change. Scared I'd never see my money again!!! read more

She said "so you do odd jobs, small repairs" Before knowing anything about me, or the balances they would be carrying. With her tone she talked to me like I was kid with a lemonade stand.
