Was looking to purchase an air fryer . Went online and noticed they had 5 left . Arrived ready to buy, but could not find the item other than the two they had on display. Couldn't find anyone to help . Go to the front and request help. They send someone 5 min later . She ends up asking 2 other people if they needed help. I wait patiently for my turn. Only to see that she has left without asking me for help . Shouldn't be this hard to purchase an item that shows 5 in inventory. I was in the right area and saw every other air fryer was easy to find. The whole reason I went there was to walk in and out and get instant gratification. This why places like Amazon , Costco are so successful. They make it so easy in comparison to big box retail places when you cant find help or the item. Bad service starts with management. The lackidasical, non-customer friendly attitudes are caused by bad management setting the tone for the rest of the associates. Came in to pick up an online order not ready in the promised 2 hour window after order. Went to counter and the "bro" there couldn't give me an eta. Literally, he just clicked on the order status link on my phone and to show me it wasn't ready and shrugged when I asked when it would be. I asked to speak to the manager who was literally just standing around behind him doing nothing. I mean nothing. Not helping customers, not doing any tasks. Like just standing there looking out into space like a human stick. Just as useful as one. When I asked him about my order, he stated they were busy and it maybe up to 4 hours. No apologies, no offer to help, just a bunch of excuses. Since the manager was doing absolutely nothing, it would make sense to me that maybe he could go pick my order or find someone who could. Looked through the store myself and couldn't find my items. When order was finally ready, only one item was still avaialble. Maybe if they picked promptly, the other would still be in stock! This place is the worst. I had cash in hand and I wanted a Himalayan Salt lamp. Somehow BBB proper fucked up such a simple consumer transaction. As they used to say back in Gaffney, "never trust a trio of B's." I wasted my time throughout the course of the day to keep checking their website to ensure the one goddamn item I wanted was in stock. This is the whole reason that businesses got online in the first place to let their manchild potential customers double and triple-check their inventory online in the comfort of their caves before putting on pants and going out into the harsh wasteland world to procure items from said inventory in exchange for various monies. But this location dun goof'd and fucked up the whole thing. 20 minutes before I left work early to get here I conducted my final verification reconnaissance of the online inventory. This store claimed they had my item in stock. I checked other locations which said they had no such items in stock. So I came here to this specific location since they claimed to have my item in stock. Filthy liars. They were not recently sold out, like the guy that parked in front of me snagged the last one. The goddamn shelves were cleared and collecting dust. They had sold out a long time ago. In the prescient words of Frank Underwood: "There are two kinds of pain. Good pain - the sort of pain that motivates, that makes you strong. Then there's bad pain - useless pain, the sort of pain that's only suffering. I welcome the former. Just thinking about this particular Bed, Bath and Beyond sets my teeth on edge. While I acknowledge that they carry a huge selection of home-related items including my beloved Mrs. Meyers rose-geranium cleaning products (20% off with their omnipresent coupons), the relentlessly aggressive greeters drive me absolutely mad. They stake their claim and their cardboard tables just inside the front door and pounce the second an unsuspecting customer walks in. Their loudly insincere proclamations of "Welcome to Bed, Bath and Beyond" immediately segue into insistent demonstrations of a Sham-Wow or spouting chocolate fountain. A polite shaking of the head or studiously ignoring them does nothing to repel these bothersome creatures. I wouldn't be surprised if one day they start tugging at my shirtsleeves to get my attention. I've spoken to the "management" (all passive males who tend to congregate in the back by the picture frames) about them several times and requested that the human infomercials tone it down, but their shrill cries and their useless crap are still very much in evidence. read more

Pre-pandemic, I could reliably get high quality bedding at this store. The selection was excellent. But, today I discovered that they're carrying just two or three off brands that are less expensive and of noticeably lesser quality. (Seriously, just 2 or 3 brands and they're names I've never heard of!) They also have a larger supply of sheets sets for twin and double beds than for queen and king. (I wonder if they've shifted to serving the apartment-dwelling singles-with-roommates crowd.) I also was looking for an inflatable mattress. They had Brookstone brand, which is cheaper and of lesser quality than what BB&B used to carry. This was a really disappointing trip. This place can get me into some trouble if I can be totally honest. I have to try to make myself not stop, but it's so hard lol. Everyone at this location is very helpful and always friendly. There's always someone eager to help you out if you're lost or indecisive. I love getting my high thread count sheets from here; their prices are so good plus their over abundance of coupons being texted and emailed to me makes it even harder not to stop lol. The layout is clear and spacious, not cluttered so it makes finding what you need rather easy. The restrooms are always pretty clean when I've been. If you have a return, it's not a hassle and really easy to get it taken care of. If you misplaced your receipt or it was a gift and don't have it, then you can get a card with store credit which is convenient because there's always something to get there lol. My only issue is parking is weird and trying to exit onto Kirby and/or Alabama can be a pain in the rear because of the high traffic and greedy drivers not letting you out. read more

The best part about this place is that you can constantly get 20% off at least one item. The worst part of it is that they waste all that paper just telling you about it. Why can't they just agree to always take 20% off the most expensive thing you buy? Or just say, if you spend over $100, they will knock 10% off of the total? I mean, the waste of paper is atrocious. I know, I am a hippie freak from California, where our "Republican" Governor sues the federal government for not letting them mandate emission cuts standards faster than the federal standards. But still, it is annoying. Now that hippie-rubbish aside, the selection here is amazing. I just bought a house, and basically all of the bits that I need for starting up are available, and at prices that compete with all of the other stores. They also have better quality stuff than the likes of Target and Wal-Heartless. My only complaint about the store itself is the aisles are awkwardly narrow. When there is a semi-packed store, it is impossible to get through, and it takes quite a few "excuse me" and "oh, deary me, sorry" groans. The carts they give you are only slightly smaller than the aisles. I feel constantly aware of the fear of the possibility of "you break it you buy it", which I don't think is the rule there, but I would rather not find out. read more

There are so many items in this store! It can be overwhelming. I usually only go to Bed Bath & Beyond (BB&B) when I need something specific - otherwise, I will avoid it. Recently, I went to BB&B for three things: 1) slow cooker, 2) vegetable spiralizer, and 3) ceramic knives. Starting with the slow cooker, I found one I liked (the selection was limited) and proceeded to check out. Once I returned home, I opened up the box ready to make dinner and realized that it was not whole. The handles were broke and the ceramic in-lay was shattered. This made me sad as I was really hoping to use it that night! So, I returned to the store, and their customer service was outstanding. I told them I just wanted to exchange it, so I grabbed another one. I asked the woman if I could open the box just to ensure this was in one piece (because I didn't want to return again). I'm so glad I opened it, but it, too, had a shattered handle! The woman behind the counter empathized and told me to try one more if not, then she recommended I use another brand. So, I tried one more, and it was all in one piece! Finally! I was able to take home my slow cooker and made a lovely chicken cacciatore over pasta. Awesome service and empathy - - rare to find in box stores. My second item was a spiralizer. This thing, I love! I can make all kinds of vegetables look more appealing and jazz up my salads! I was surprised what a good price I got on this given how I'd heard they were expensive in other stores. I've used it several times and it doesn't disappoint! The third item was ceramic knives. My husband had read about how nifty they are and how they don't need to be sharpened as often as steel-knives. Since I am not working at the moment and spending most days cooking, he thought I'd appreciate a better knife. So, when I was looking for them, I was a bit saddened since the selection was super limited! I ended up going with a pack of 3 ceramic knives for $25, so that if they didn't work out, I wouldn't be heart broken. OPPOSITE! There is A LOT less force I have to put in when slicing potatoes, squash, or sweet potatoes. These are a wonder! So, this store deserves 4 stores for service, selection, and quality. read more

This is indeed a great store. It's easy to get to, easy to park, and easy to find stuff. The one time I returned something, the process was completely painless, no questions asked. Every one there is very nice and extremely helpful. I'm glad that this location has something useful now--when I was kid, this used to be an Eagle grocery store, where my mother and I used to shop all the time. After that it was a Rice Epicurean, which I didn't care for so much. And whether it likes it or not, late at night it has always provided auxiliary parking for House of Pies, which is right next door. read more

I just had a horrible experience here. Upon arriving at the store, I asked a check out clerk at the front where I needed to go to set up my bridal registry. They said I needed to go to the back area. So I head that way and the lady (didn't get a name, blonde short hair, older lady) asked my name. I said I needed a registry for myself. I spelt my last name and she said she couldn't find me. I said, I need to set one up for myself. She asked when my wedding was and I gave her the date. She then said she could NOT let me register because it was more than 5 months out. WHAT?!!!! All I replied was "um ok." Is she crazy? She then asked if I wanted to make an appointment to which I said no thanks. I don't know why she would ask if I wanted to make an appointment if she wouldn't even let me register. What a clueless B****. Sorry, don't mean to say and write rude things but seriously? Does she not realize there are pre-wedding parties that require guests to buy gifts from the registries?!?! I would give 1 star just for that. However, I called and spoke to the manager afterwards and let her know what happened. She apologized and said she would set me up with another associate so that I could register for my own wedding. I don't know if I am going to go back to BBB to register though. What a horrible experience and bad first impression on trying to set up the registry. The bump up in star is for the manager. She seemed genuinely concerned and wanted to make up for my bad experience. If i go back and register, I will gladly update my review on how I was treated once speaking to the manager and working with another associate. read more

Why am I reviewing this chain store? Because they were hands-down one of the best options for wedding gift registries. Yes, it's a little more expensive than Target, which is why I rarely shop here and especially not without their ubiquitous coupons which are accepted past expiration dates. The reason why they're so awesome for wedding registries? As long as the item is on your registry, you can return it. No receipt, no problem! Changed your mind about something, no problem! Hello, merchandise credit! Also, the sales people at this location are sooo friendly. I mean, I think it's company policy and the Meyerland people are cool, too. But I was here recently and all the registers were open and all the assocates stood in front of them and greeted me. While I was wandering aimlessly in the store, I passed at least 5 associates and they all asked me whether I needed any help. I was always a fan of this store until today. My husband and I were making returns from our registry and encountered endless problems from Betty at the customer service counter. Before we even spoke to her, my husband commented that she seemed rude and unfriendly. We were returning something that had apparently been purchased with a coupon. We noticed on the receipt that the coupon amount wasn't returned. Betty explained that it's their policy to not return the amount paid for with a coupon because it isn't our coupon. Well.... It wasn't our money to begin with. We asked if we could exchange it for something of the same price; we were told that because they knew it was from our registry, they couldn't. However, had they just done the transaction outside of the registry, it would have worked just fine. We then decided to not return it so that we could exchange it at a different store for full price. The amount of hassle and confusion shown by this request was unnerving. I understand that she was following store policy. But she was rude from the beginning. I bought curtain rods here a few months before. Decided to return one set that I hadn't opened yet and of course didn't have the receipt. The customer service woman was SO nice. I told her I didn't have the receipt, and she said they could find it with my card. I told her I wasn't sure what card I had used, but could I try one or two, and she said sure of course, but if it didn't match I'd get store credit. Lucky for me the first card I tried matched and I got a full refund. The store is a typical Bed, Bath, and Beyond, so to me it's all about the customer service when you go. Officially in the top 3 worst companies I've ever had to deal with. I purchased a gift from a registry online to be picked up in store. The site said it was in stock. I called the store: "Yes, it's in stock." I went to pick it up the day of the wedding, it wasn't there. Okay...that sucks, but I'm flexible. Pick something else out, set it up to be delivered to the residence when they are back from honeymoon. I got an email 4 days later saying "We can't find this anywhere either." Terrible, terrible, terrible. Two items, both promised in stock and delivered, and two failures. Thanks for an ENORMOUS waste of time. I was in Houston for the weekend, and had to get to a wedding that Sunday night in Dallas. I came in here to pick something out of the wedding registry. I was quite surprised to find BBB actually employed someone and titled that position as the wedding registry consultant. I was like, "WHAT? FOR REAL?" Anyway, she was really helpful to me. I was in there longer than I would have liked to find a gift. I had to find something within my budget. With the help of the consultant, I was able to find 3 items. I proceeded to the check out counter, and that girl's customer service was not up to standard. As she was packaging the items for me, she broke one of them and had asked me to go get another one. Uhm...didn't you break it? So shouldn't YOU go get ME another one? Don't you get paid to service people? Hmm... Overall, this BBB felt like any other BBB every where else. Went there yesterday to take advantage of my 20% entire order coupon as it was expiring on August 1st. The great thing about Bed, Bath and Beyond is that they have a little bit of everything. I was able to get one of those cushy gel mats for standing on while doing dishes, a teak shower stool, soap dispenser that matches my faucet, a frame that holds a decorative bowl (which I've been searching for in bronze and couldn't find anywhere), a Yankee Candle that smells like Girl Scouts thin mint cookies (it was half off and I couldn't resist the scent), and a Bona floor cleaning mop kit. I was looking for a shower curtain but they didn't have anything that was spectacular for the bathroom in question. That's the only reason I'm giving it four stars instead of five. But one of the sales associated did inform me that the store on Kirby is one of the smallest one and suggested I go to the one in Meyerland as they have a bigger selection when it comes to shower curtains. I appreciated her input. When it came time to check out, the lines were long but one of the employees (not sure if he was the manager or not) made sure another cashier opened up their register so I could check out more quickly. I appreciated that because by that point I had been there an hour (there's just so much to see there). The service was great as several employees asked if I needed help while I was there. I have shopped at this store for years and it used to be fantastic. Employees were always very attentive and ready to help. However, I stopped by the store yesterday, Saturday, June 15th at approximately 3 PM and had a bad experience. I was looking for a certain product (the Nutribullet) that I knew they carry because I looked online first. When I walked in, nobody approached me to offer me their assistance, so I started to look around for someone to help me. The first employee I encountered was almost bothered that I was even asking a question, and referred me to someone else. The next employee told me they did not carry that product. I found the product withing the store and asked for the manager, who completely neglected me and told me she knew nothing about that piece of equipment. I asked someone else... and so forth. I was standing in line to pay for the items, when I thought to myself: "walk away... they don't deserve it." So I did... I walked away, even though I really wanted to buy that product. I am all about customer service, and as much as I give it to others, I expect it back. I hope I do not have to walk into that particular store again. Just to clarify... The staff isn't very pleasant to deal with either especially in the back towards the wedding registry and the more expensive dinning ware and glass ware! Excellent customer service, but I have to give a special "shout out" to Christie at the upper Kirby location. I called the store beforehand because I was in a rush and needed to pick up an item, and Christie went out of her way to accommodate me. She not only grabbed the item, but gift wrapped it herself and placed it at the front with my name on it so I could just pick it up at the front. I was in and out in less than 5 minutes. I have always been a huge BB&B fan, but this location has to be my favorite of them all! I love the store, love their products, and the employees here are super helpful. The last time I went I met one of the managers who is an awesome guy! So here is the story: I saw a bookcase on-line that I just had to have because it was perfect for my living room. I wanted to purchase it in person rather than order on-line, so I made my way to this store. I asked the first employee I found where their bookcases were located and he walked me straight to them (even though he was the manager as I would later find out). They are a smaller store and did not have the exact one I saw on-line so he looked in their computer system to see if a nearby store had it or if they could order it. To my dismay they had discontinued the product between the time I saw it on-line a week ago and the time I made it out to the store. Even so, he offered to look into seeing if they could get one for me from any other stores that may still have them in stock. Even though it ended up that I couldn't get the bookcase, they left me with such a great feeling due to their level of customer service that I didn't really mind. I can't recall ever having such personalized service at a chain store like this before. I will be sure to give this location all of my business in the future. Helpful Hint: The expiration dates on the coupons they mail out mean nothing. I used one from 2009 the other day and it worked just fine. read more

The manager tried to tell us our coupon wouldn't work, that it was a prompt to sign up for their newer subscription membership at $30/yr. We managed to get the coupon to load to the barcode screen and they were able to scan it in as *surprise* a legit 20%off the purchase coupon. They didn't even try to work with us. We were spending over $500 in their store. The cashier seemed upset and bothered. The manager left quickly after falsely explaining the situation. We were told by the cashier that we should just "sign up for the membership". Almost called corporate afterwards. Anyways, we just won't be coming here again. read more
