Unsure about how to choose mattresses that are rarely used (for our second home), they helped by patiently explaining my options and ensuring that I was getting value for my money. I had a last minute change in schedule which required moving delivery up by one day. When I called at 11:00 am and asked if I could have the bed delivered that day, the person I spoke with said they were booked but she would call me if they got ahead of schedule. I didn't expect to hear back from them but received a call at 3:00 offering to deliver that afternoon. The delivery men were friendly even at the very end of a hot day. great service! read more

So I just bought a vacation house. My real estate agent recommends Bed Land for beds. I shopped all the mattress retail chains and let me say I saved about 40% shopping at Bed Land. The whole experience was terrific. I've always felt like I was buying a car when I went bed shopping. Not at Bed Land. Great service and great prices. They even delivered my beds same day. So let me fast forward 2 months. I bought these beds for a vacation home and I head back home. We come down about 2 months later and my wife realizes they actually gave us 3 twin xl beds and 1 twin when we ordered 4 twin xl beds. I called Bed Land and told them I had bought them almost 2 months ago. 1 hour later they were delivering the correct mattress no questions asked. You want a great deal on beds head over to Bed Land. We've bought every mattress for nearly 20 years from this company with complete satisfaction. The last one delivered was significantly more uncomfortable than the demo mattress in the store due to a discernible ridge in the middle of the mattress. A rep from the local store was sent to our house, evaluated the mattress and told us the ridge wasn't bad enough. When I protested and mentioned the possible damage from public media, the visiting rep stated, "We've been in business for over 25 years. One unhappy customer doesn't worry us." After an initial unfavorable review, the store general manager contacted us and invited us back, genuinely concerned about the improper remarks of his employee and resultant poor review. His follow up actions and those of the employees who revisited our home to take corrective measures exceeded our expectations and resecured us as current and future Bed Land customers. I have been doing business with Bed Land in Shallotte, since 1993! I have always been treated exceptionally well, by their friendly sales staff, and manager. They go above and beyond to help me. The last bed set I bought, a year ago, was after I had rotator cuff surgery. I called Jim H., the manager, and asked him to picked out my extra firm set. He did an excellent job! He had his delivery guys take one bed down, put another bed frame up, and set it up with the new mattress set! He had told the guys to do whatever I needed. So, they even vacuumed the area, before setting up the new bed. You couldn't ask for a better group of guys to talk to and shop with.
