The selection is great but the staff really pushes this from 4to 5 stars. When trying on dresses they are helpful but not overbearing like many boutiques. Their buyer has a great eye for formal dresses and casual attire. And today, we had a problem with a prom dress and the staff bent over backwards to make things right and do what they could to make an unfortunate situation better. I think they went above and beyond on customer service and were really patient and extremely accommodating. I heard about this boutique from a friend while searching for prom dresses. I was skeptical because it is not very well known, however, I'm so glad that I decided to visit! Not only is this a great one stop shop for jewelry, formal wear, casual wear, makeup, shoes, and accessories, but the service here is unbelievably fabulous! The sales associates are friendly and helpful without being pushy, and they really listen to what you are looking for and make insightful suggestions, while being respectful of your budget. They offer free makeup help, with their large assortment of Too Faced Cosmetics products. They have beautiful shoes from great brands. The dresses that they have range the full spectrum of typical prom brands to fancy red carpet designers, and they really have dresses to fit every style. Another benefit of shopping here is the FREE ALTERATIONS for formal dresses. The seamstress was so nice during my dress fitting, and my goodness is that ever a quick service! I asked them if it was possible to get the alterations done in a week, and they called me five days later to say that my dress was ready! Everyone there is so friendly, and the product selection is unbeatable. My daughter and I started our search for a senior prom dress today. Never in a million years did I think we would find something on our first time out. We went to Bedazzled Boutique at the suggestion of a friend. It's warm and welcoming from the moment you walk in. It was very busy with other customers, but Ruth gave us the "lay of the land", pointing us in the right direction based on what my daughter's taste is. She'd check back on us every so often to see how we were doing and if we needed anything. My daughter tried on about 10 dresses. One was not something she'd usually try on, but it looked beautiful. We just weren't sure though. Then Ruth brought in another dress; it was similar to the other, only a different style on the top and a different color tulle overlay. My daughter put it on and it fit perfectly. We each said, "Wow!" and knew it was the one. Mission accomplished in under 2 hours! Ruth and her husband, Victor, worked with us on the pricing. If you spend $350 or more than alterations are free. (There are some exceptions that Ruth explained to us.) Or, if you don't need or do any alterations, there's a discount. Even with the discount, the price was a bit more than what we wanted to spend, but we can have the dress altered later for my daughter to wear to other events. So, she will get more than one use out of it. (Also, we looked the dress up online after we left the boutique. We got a great deal.) We are having one layer of crinoline removed from the dress and some beading needs to be checked/secured. Bedazzled's seamstress is taking care of it. Assuming that all works out well and we are happy at the time of pick up, I'd give Bedazzled Boutique a 5 out of 5 stars. Good selection of dresses and price points. Nice, friendly owners and staff who are happy to help. (Also, they keep a list of high schools and who's bought what dress so there won't be any duplicate dresses at prom.) UPDATE: After going back to pick up the dress we found the owners, Ruth and Victor, to be less friendly. And I was very surprised - considering how much $$$ we spent on the dress - to find that they didn't remember us. Clearly, their mission was accomplished: they had sold us a dress. My daughter tried on the dress again to make sure it looked good without the one layer of crinoline. That's when we noticed that the dress was longer in the front than in the back. After going back and forth with Victor (I stood my ground) he agreed to fix the length at no charge. In the end, my daughter looked stunning in the dress. She had many compliments from friends, parents and her high school teachers/administrators. read more

Prior to my experience this past Saturday, I would have given 4 stars. However, I was disgusted at the way my daughter and I were treated and the way the owner talked about his employees in front of everyone. My 17 yo daughter went to this place about a month ago and found a dress for her Jr. Prom that she LOVES!. She put a deposit on it and then she and I both went back this past Saturday to pick it up. When we got there, my daughter tried on the dress and the two ladies working there were super helpful UNTIL I noticed a hole in the lace overlay on the dress. I mentioned this and the two ladies proceeded to pretend like it wasn't there. I said something again, and the one stated "Oh, it got stretched out" eluding to the fact that my daughter stretched this out. Mind you, the hole is down by the thighs and fits my daughter beautifully without not one ounce of pull. And she had tried this dress on 1 other time and it remained at the store until we went back that day. In addition, the 4 clips in the back at the top of the dress are falling off and one of them was already off. So, again I ask about this and I was told that it was already on sale. Now, had they had just acknowledged that it was damaged and offered to take $10/$20 off to help cover the cost for the repair, this would be an entire different review. When we got to the register, it was obvious that I was unhappy but I still planned on buying the dress because my daughter was in love with it and her prom is this coming Friday. While at the register, I was told that this wasn't how customer service worked and was sarcastically offered "$5 for a stitch." I was repeatedly told that the dress was already on sale and essentially that's what I get. So FYI sale = damaged at this place. I worked in retail for many years and would have never treated a customer this way. I would have acknowledged the problem and tried to rectify it in anyway possible. That was how we were trained. I did not accept the whopping $5 for a stitch and just advised that I would write a review warning all customers about the kind of treatment that I received. The one lady began to cry when I said this and blamed me for the failure of small businesses. Clearly, it's this type of service that creates failure of small businesses. In addition, the owner was on his cell phone while we were there pacing back and forth in and out of the store. When he got off, he was telling the two ladies how "dumb his employees are." So, if you work there, this is how you're thought of by the owner. So just a warning, if you plan to shop here, check your product up and down to make sure that it is not damaged and if it is, be prepared to accept it how it is. And if you say anything, you will be treated like I was. Good luck! read more

Terrible Service!!! Bought about $400 worth of gifts here at Christmas. I went in to return a pair jeggings I bought for my daughter because all the stitching around the pockets unraveled before they were washed. The owner said they aren't defective; then his daughter chimes in and says "yeah that happens to mine too all the time, because you pull them up", she is all of 90 lbs. So how does pulling on a pair of jeggings make the pockets fall off? How else are you supposed to get them on. He wouldn't return them and said he would have to charge me to ship them back to me... really? I put down the $200 dress I was about to try on and left. I have referred so many people from NJ here for prom and formal dresses. Never again! I think their second store just closed. If you can't provide service then I won't be surprised if this location closes too. read more
