It's a nice store, well-lit & clean. Staff was nice, but not super attentive (I was standing in front of the cash register for at least a few minutes while two employees finished their personal conversation). Onto the clothes... I came looking for some new work clothes, but this isn't really the store for business dress clothes. They do not carry any dress pants or Blazers, but I did pick up a cardigan style blouse. Just be careful to inspect the clothes carefully because I picked up 5 of the same blouses before I found a good one (others were stained, ripped, or had seams coming apart). Material of the clothes does feel a little cheap, and prices are just ok. Personally, I'd prefer getting better made clothing at Macy's & using their coupons for a better deal. However this place is useful if you're unable to find plus sized clothing at Macy's, or Lane Bryant's prices are just too high. Worth a look for those curvy ladies. Return policy is 30 days, with receipt AND with tags still attached to the clothing.

I headed to the Cherry Hill Mall to check out 2 other stores there -- and stumbled upon Fashion to Figure having never heard of it before. So glad that I did! It's literally a store for ladies size 12-26 geared towards a night on the town, special events, or if you just wanna look super put together. Lots of variety of styles - and nothing like the sometimes boring department store options open to curvy or plus-size ladies. The dresses in the window are gorgeous, and inside it's all white walls, trendy music - and great stuff you actually want to wear! Both employees there were really nice - Janelle helped me with fitting room/dress stuff and was awesome! The staff actually writes your name on a wipeboard outside of your fitting room and is attentive and friendly without pushing sales. There was another girl in the dressing room looking for an outfit that I ended up chatting with and even recommending a dress for when we were coming out into the common area to look in the larger mirror. I went in looking for a dress and left with two - both onsale - and I know when the winter pounds come off they're both cut so well they're still going to look great! A nice plus - they sell Spanx, and some other really nice shapewear, and their jewelry section is dangerously shiny... I had to stop myself from getting carried away. A total go-to place for special occasions or if you want something fun to wear!

It's a tad higher-priced than the "big W", but the clothes have more style, colors, and interesting fabrics, and there's a greater range of sizes for women. I'm a little picky about my clothes (for example, I want my shirts to have pockets) and it's quite a large store with a wide selection, so it's rare that I can't find something that fits me, my budget, and my expectations. The prices are quite reasonable for what they offer, so you can spend $100 and leave with a full bag, feeling like a great bargain-hunter. Service is friendly and helpful but not overbearing and annoying. Highly recommended.

This store is absolutely wonderful. I found out they put a Torrid in my local mall and I jumped at…read morethe chance to check it out. There aren't many options for plus sized clothing in York besides Lane Bryant, so I'll drive the extra distance just to find clothing that isn't made for 40 year old women. I am 20 years old, after all. Torrid carries sizes 12-28, and their clothing is what I would describe as alternative chic. In case you didn't know, Torrid was created by Hot Topic for plus sized women specifically. First of all, the staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable about their brand and it's sizing systems. A staff member helped me find the perfect jeans, which is absolutely unheard of for me. They were all warm and considerate, and kept checking on me while I was trying on numerous items of clothing and taking pictures. I was never once treated rudely, and their staff followed the practice of watching the customer but only butting in when the customer asks questions or looks confused. It makes the shopping experience better, because most other stores treat me like I'm stealing if I spend a significant amount of time there, or they follow me around and comment on each item I even look at. Torrid's clothing is trendy yet also made for comfort. I can't imagine trying on something of theirs and feeling like I have to take it off right away. They had everything you can imagine from sweaters, dresses, skirts, jeans, lingerie, shoes, jewelry, fragrances and more. Unfortunately I can not fit into their lingerie due to needing a larger bra size than what they stock, but I tried some of it on anyway and it was very comfortable and made me feel sexy despite being the complete wrong size for me. Their prices were slightly high for certain items, but other items were very reasonably priced. My favorite part of the store were the fitting rooms. When you walk into the fitting room area, you're greeted with a huge space with chandeliers, leopard print carpet, amazing lighting, and huge mirrors. This area is also air conditioned. When you go into an individual fitting room, it's very spacious, very well lit, has a huge mirror, and a fan up in the corner that you can control as you please. I've had the feeling of being hot, cramped, and sweaty in way too many fitting rooms in the past. Torrid's fitting rooms made me feel comfortable and important. They truly thought of every detail to make the fitting room experience a positive one for plus sized women, rather than just throwing together a fitting room area like Lane Bryant (where I've always been drenched in sweat as I try on jeans and sweaters). I love the fact that there's now a good plus size store in this part of Pennsylvania, because it's been long overdue. If you're plus size and want to be treated like a Princess, go to Torrid as soon as possible.

I am attending a wedding in November and planned on just wearing my old prom dress. From the moment I entered the store I was amazed at how beautiful all the gowns were! She assisted me with trying on 4 different dresses and I ended up going with the very first dress I tried on! It's funny because when I walked in the store she happen to have it in her hands putting it away! I instantly said hey that dress is beautiful and it happen to be my size and everything!!!! She even took photos of me in each gown so I could compare and contrast! Yelitza made my shopping experience extremely rewarding and fun! She even helped me look at jewelry to match and came up with great ideas for my hair and makeup. I can't thank her enough for the experience I had in the store. They have shoes, bags, accessories, anything a gal needs in a wide range of sizes. In other words, it's not 10 year old Missoni in size 4 masquerading as a consignment shop (and I WORSHIP Missoni). If you are larger than a 10, you will find plenty of options here. There is also a small selection of men's clothing. Juniors or women who like to think they are juniors, this store is not for you. This is a shop for women who don't mind admitting they are over the age of majority. Clothes are arranged by type and by size, so if you're looking for a jacket, there is a section for jackets, skirts, etc. I was tempted by the most buttery soft ultra suede skirt in a light purple. But then I remembered, I'm only buying black and white anymore. I didn't rate this store higher because the sales clerk (who I know is not the owner) did not greet me or make any effort to engage me when I came into the store. In fact, it felt like she was avoiding me. When customers walk into a store, it's customary to say "hello, are you looking for something special"? Don't walk behind the counter as though I'm not there. I wasn't even rockin' the nose ring; but I'm not inclined to return when there are so many other options. ( As an aside, I've walked into Nordy's looking like crap on a tray and I've still gotten stellar customer service). Anyway, this store has very nice clothing and excellent prices, they also take plastic. Don't know what the return policy is, cause, well you know...I hope you have a better experience. 03/29/2011 I never mentioned children's clothing in this review. If you looked at my profile and reviews, you would know that I am not spamming. I write about my encounter with a business, which in this case was a departure from what I experienced from local consignment shops. It should also be noted that my review was complimentary of the store in general and the merchandise.

I just happened to see the big consignment sign near the street on Lancaster Ave as I was driving by and I made a "U" turn. I didn't know it was Charmingly Linda's, but I'm glad I found it again. This is a nice store. It is not glamorous (though I think they are trying). The clothes are down to earth clothing, not much stuff for the younger crowd. Mostly they stock women's clothing, shoes, bags, accessories. They have a very small men's department. When I was there they had a huge selection of Vera Bradley bags. It is hit or miss. One thing many may not know is that Linda's husband sells things on E-bay. With the population aging, there are more and more people who need this service. I will go back from time to time cause I like to see what's there. I've gotten slacks, tops and a raincoat in the past. Best of luck thrifting.
