Buyer BEWARE of Hank's/Franklin furniture products. For approximately 7 months now and numerous…read morecalls and emails, we have been trying to work with Hank's to resolve an issue with a $1,000 upholstered couch that was delivered Aug. 2024. Around 1 1/2 years, with very little use, the upholstery started sagging in the middle over the nail- head trim. After denying our initial claim, we were told it was a manufacturer issue. We then consulted an independent furniture expert, with over 30 years experience in the industry, for a second opinion. After showing him the photos, he immediately said that couch is too long to just have feet/supports on the ends; there should be center legs/supports. As of last week, after calling again (because Hank's has only returned 2 calls over the past 7 months), we were told they would be sending someone to add center support and it could be done on site. When asked about repairing the upholstery, we were told they would have to check and call us back. Never received a returned call; just received a text to set up a repair time. We finally spoke directly to the repair company today and asked about the repairs. We were told the upholstery repair was not approved. Called the Jonesboro store and left a message. Blake, the store manager, called back and left a voicemail explaining the manufacturer denied the claim and they were only adding center support as a customer courtesy. Returned his call and spoke with Blake. He stated the manufacturer denied the claim and was aware the fabric would give over time due to use. (Hmmm...probably because it lacks center legs to support the weight in the center of the couch?! So they KNOW it will sag over time!!) When asked who the manufacturer was, he said Franklin. We asked for their contact information and also to be contacted by someone at their corporate office. He said he would try and get Franklin's contact. We purchased this Franklin couch from Hank's; however, they are not willing to stand behind what they sell or address this issue with the company who made the couch. Unfortunately, they are leaving us, the customer, in middle and with a $1,000 defective couch!!

They did not communicate when they were going to arrive. There are too many furniture stores to deal with people like this. Bought a sofa for my son's upstairs bedroom about a year ago, and the delivery charge was $120…read more Went back last week to buy a bed for the same room. The bill of sale quoted the same delivery charge of $120. I specifically asked if the $120 included assembly and was told it did. When the delivery arrived, the charge suddenly went up to $180 because it was being moved upstairs (to the same room the couch was delivered to). We were only told this AFTER the components had been carried upstairs and unboxed and were then told we could pay the $180 or it would be left unassembled. I called the store who tried to tell me I'd have to work it out with the delivery company (MY contract is with Cleo's; Cleo's is the one with the contract with the movers). I was being held hostage, so I paid the $180, but called back and spoke with Brad to ask for the regional manager and was told there are no regional managers -- I could only deal with the store. I knew that was an outright lie, so I called the store in Little Rock, who took my info and said the regional manager would return my call. A while later, I received a call from Brad saying they'd cover the $60, but I'd already paid it, so he said they'd issue a refund. It's been a couple of days, and no refund has been issued, and the regional manager has never reached out at all. The purchase was fine, and the furniture is good, but their business delivery practices are fraudulent. I won't be shopping Cleo's again. Over a month now, and I've never been issued the promised refund.
