BCV showed up in my online search at the luckiest of moments. I was browsing through eBay, Facebook marketplace, and OfferUp looking for a clean, low shutter count, and well priced Sony a7c body. At one point I had gotten a seller in my area (San Diego) to come down to $1100 from his ask of $1250. That's when I decided to do one last check online. As I'm looking through eBay and google shopping, I come across a listing from BCV for a body at an amazing price. $860!! At first I thought it might be a scam but once I researched their socials+website and realized they were having a used gear winter sale, I immediately purchased it. Do note, the listing had no mention of a shutter count, so I was worried that their price was going to be a reflection of heavy use. The same morning I purchased it, FedEx picked it up, and while there was a 1 day delay in shipping, the camera came in well packaged, protected, and just as listed. Friday-Tuesday from OKC to San Diego, CA. In the end the shutter count was only 7k! Super happy with my purchase and heavily recommend them. I had a terrible experience here buying a film camera and some other stuff. Their staff -- you will either get someone who is kind but clueless, or someone who has zero customer service skills and will not answer basic questions. I really don't get it. Went in to develop some test photos for a camera I had inherited, and they were extremely nice and helpful. The man who helped me guided me through the process of submitting the film for development and explained the process. When all said and done, they had the photos done in 24 hours, when other places would have taken weeks. Definitely recommend 10/10. And it was cheep only $12 to develop a roll! read more

Rarely do I make it to the OKC area and not take time to stop at Bedford. Over the past three or four years, I have purchased several Canon RF lenses and a Canon Pro-300 printer as well. On most of my visits, I only need a few ink cartridges or some other small item but they still take all the time I need to check out the latest gear whether it be a lens, camera, or photography backpack. Best I can recall- Items purchased to date: Canon RF 24-105 f/4 L IS USM Lens Canon RF 14-35 f/4 L IS USM Lens Canon RF 100 f/2.8 Macro Lens Canon RF 1.4x Teleconverter Canon ImagePrograf Pro-300 Printer Manfrotto 055 Series Tripod Mindshift Trailscape18L Backpack Black Rapids Sport X Camera Strap A few dozen ink cartridges I can also say that in spite of me taking up their time, I have never been pressured to buy anything. They always just let me decide for myself and on more than one occasion, the salesperson has recommended a product which Bedford does not even carry. Sure can't get that kind of individualized service at a big box store much less while shopping at the online Bezos jungle. As for trade-in value, I have traded in two different lenses in the past few years. In doing so, I did not expect 'retail' nor 'what it's actually worth' prices. However, I did get a reasonable wholesale value which I believe is more than fair. It is just pure ignorance on how a business works to expect full market value on anything traded in for a newer model. As such, I was more than pleased with both transactions. On the one occasion which the item I had hoped to trade on new gear did not get an offer I could accept, I just kept it and sold it myself- no big deal. On a final note, I know of no other place I could go to tap into decades of experience and technical expertise for free. That alone is well worth the time to go out of my way to shop at Bedford. read more

My pictures were great but I did pay $16 extra dollars for "prints" of my photos. I was under the impression I was literally going to receive PRINTS but I received the negatives??? If you want to upsell, do it another way that isn't sneaky! Don't tell me I will be getting all of my items printed when you meant the negatives the entire time...... I got my photos digitally so I literally have no need for negatives or I should have JUST gotten the negatives for $16 instead of spending $50. Will sadly be going back to Walgreens as I've never had something like this happen. read more

Called Bedford as my only local shop. Asked them to match an advertisement from Dallas for a trade up program from Sony on an A7IV with lens. Mike stated that they would match it and they would hold my camera until the date of the promotion. No caveats, No "I have to confirm", No "I have to check with the Sony representative". Just, "Yes, we will honor that". I came in today to pick up the camera and he stated that: A: The promo didn't apply to them B: Their promo wouldn't start until the 9th per the Sony rep C: They didn't know if it would even be the same discount at all Therefore if I wanted the camera today as agreed, it would be full list price, no discount whatsoever. He stated he tried to call me and could not get through, which according to my phone's call history was not true at all. I expect when I have tried to support a local store with my business for them to "KEEP THEIR WORD" NO EXCEPTIONS. I do that for my customers even if it loses me money, especially if I have not qualified it in advance with conditions such as "I have to check with Sony" I walked out without my camera but with my wasted trip, called Competitive Camera in Dallas and they honored their advertisement, they are shipping my camera to me overnight at no charge and were as professional as I have seen. Competitive pricing, knowledgeable staff. I was recently in the market for a camera upgrade and after seeing an add for a Sony trade-in event at Bedford, I thought I'd check them out. I've always made big camera purchases from B&H in the past, but Bedford seemed to have a better deal with the event. Their retail prices are set by the manufacturer, so they were neither high nor low from most competitors, prior to discounts. That means they matched the prices from Sony, B&H, Amazon, etc. I visited Bedford on a cold, icy day and found the store open and inviting with several people on staff, ready to help. I spoke with Bill about the trade-in event and I was nearly shocked to find out that I would be given a $200 bonus discount, just for trading in an old DSLR. I came back immediately with two cameras, lenses and accessories to trade in. While I could have made more money by selling the products on my own, the $200 bonus offer made up for the difference. The whole time, Bill was very honest and courteous about the value they could give me for my equipment. I ended up keeping one of the lenses, since it was still in very good condition and it was worth more to me than he could offer. The camera I wanted was the Sony a7iii, but with a 28-70mm lens kit. It was not in stock at Oklahoma City, but Bill immediately got on the phone with other Bedford locations. A few minutes later, a kit was located at Springfield, MO and it arrived in Oklahoma City about 48 hours later. That was a fast turnaround. Bill was very knowledgeable and gave me plenty of information, including accessories that I might need and service plans of interest. I passed on all of it, but he did reassure me that buying an LAEA4 (adapter that they did not sell) would allow me to use all of my existing A-mount lenses with the new camera. In the process, he was understanding and didn't try to sell me any new lenses or other items that I didn't want. Overall, I was satisfied by my experiences at Bedford Camera & Video. They have a huge selection of cameras, photography accessories and other related equipment. Their staff members are helpful and the deal with the trade-in event was better than I could find anywhere, online or in person. Keep in mind that prices are set by the manufacturer here, so they'll be on par with what you'll find at most big box stores and online retailers. I came in for a camera kit that they didn't have, but it was transferred there and ready for me to pick up in just two days! read more

it is what it is. it's fine, just not what I want it to be. OKC used to have a handful of camera shops but they closed one by one... I guess they just lost their tenuous niche in the modern brick-and-mortar economy. Here now to take the place of the small, reasonably competitive local camera market of old... is Bedford. outrageous prices, limited selection, exclusionary attitude - I doubt I will visit again. I had intended to bring in some large format style lenses in shutters, as well as a couple medium format cameras to see what they would offer, but I got the message within a few seconds of opening the door. this is definitely NOT pipkin's, and despite keeping the rough layout, it isn't epperson's either. ie if you don't have thousands of bucks laying around to drop on your amateur photography hobby you are probably just going to feel slightly unwelcome. I wouldn't bother bringing in anything you might want to trade or sell either - eventually I did call just to ask about that, and I do credit the guy I talked to for being straight up with me... they *might* pay you 1/2 the value of what you have for sale/trade (and I can only assume 'value' refers to their determination/guess, for sure not yours). so, yeah... it is what it is. if this is your thing, go for it. I am sure they are knowledgeable and friendly to their actual customers, which likely aren't many. read more

Ive been coming here for 3 years to get my 35mm film developed and printed. A local film store only a short drive my house? Sign me up. The customer service is always really great; everyone is so nice and they are a large part of why I have been a returning customer. But I can't justify or recommend Bedford any longer. I've looked past the lackluster print quality and subpar film scans for 3 years for the sake of supporting local, but there has only been a decline over these years with no improvements in sight and I am forced to have my film developed elsewhere moving forward. read more

Not for developing photos. I thought using a local place would be a good idea but regret it now. 1) Nobody called when the pictures were ready. 2) The quality of the prints look like the negatives were scanned and then printed back onto film. My camera isn't the greatest quality, and I know what it's like to get pictures back that didn't turn out, but this is something different. Instead of being fuzzy, the pictures seem pixely and over-sharpened; I can even see minuscule horizontal lines on some. The colors are over saturated and the lines between contrasting values (i.e. darks and lights) are thicker than they should be. If I wanted crapola, I would have gone to CVS. Conclusion: $40 bath. Might have to throw them away and take the negates elsewhere. read more

Epperson Photo-Video was purchased by Bedford Camera & Video. I have been there multiple times and purchased both equipment and photo developing services from them. The store is well stocked with modern photographic equipment and often well staffed to serve you. The processing area of the store is well visible but separated from the main store by a partition. They seem to be able to help with practically all of your developing or printing needs. They offer classes in various photographic subjects. Some of the staff is experienced in photography and half of them seem friendly. All in all I would say they have a good store. The problem is that their pricing is rather high. There isn't anything they sell that you cannot buy usually at a lower cost. I'm sure this is why there aren't many (if any) other competitors with brick and mortar stores in our metro area. I have purchased a lot of photographic equipment in the past 5 months and this place ranks low on my list of places to check due to the overpricing of their stock. Their developing and printing services are also priced high and developing time a bit longer than local processing should take but they seem to do a adequate job. All in all I think they could and should try harder to serve their customers but they are carrying on a dying tradition of local stores serving local people. I used to be a professional photographer, but since I've switched careers, I shoot on my Holga camera for fun. I take my 120 film to Bedford to develop, and it's way cheaper and faster than sending it to some place online. Everyone in there is super nice. I always get my pics on a CD because it's cheap and, let's be honest, I'm just trying to post them on insta for likes, so I can't speak to their prints. Would highly recommend! read more

Bedford photo has been involved one way or another with some of my biggest projects. Whether it's buying gear, renting gear, breaking their gear and paying for said gear. I guess you could say one could do that anywhere, but the difference with Bedford photo OKC is they take the time to get to know you. I love walking into Bedford and hearing Bill say "Hi Johnny". I don't feel like I'm talking to a sales associate, but rather likeminded friends who have a ton of experience and knowledge. Bought a high end DSLR from this shop. Found the salesman, quick, efficient and knowledgable. Gave me the sale price of the package I wanted even though it wasn't technically available for 4 more days. Saw the other review regarding SD cards. They do have high end SD cards (Class 10) that were on sale and were competetive, while on sale. These are not the average $10 Class 2 cards from WalMart. I'm surprised by the other feedbacks. Excellent service and inventory on hand. I sent my 19 year old daughter by the store to pick up remote shutter release that she needed for her photography class at OSU. They hooked it up to her camera to make sure it was compatible and showed her how to use it. All for a $20 sale! We will be back when she need her own camera. read more

Great service. 120 film developing is good if you do color film but the B&W machine has been out of service for awhile. Call ahead. Talk to Walter, Rodger, or Christian. They have been really helpful getting me up and running. Price is a bit higher then Amazon but they are more helpful, faster, and worth it. read more

I had a problem with the lab recently S they were sending out their film to other locations. The reason for 5 stars is for Walter who went above and beyond to help make the situation right. He apologized and gave us a film reward card which the first employee did not offer us when we brought the film in. I brought in some negatives to be printed and for the previous inconvenience and bad experience he did the prints for free. This is what customer service is about. My son bought camera equipment from this store. The quality was good however he returned items in August and did not get credited back. He has called store twice for credit, still not credit for the returned items. Very poor customer service. I would not recommend you purchase from the store. Fantastic local business. Needed to convert a BUNCH of hard copy photos into digital and they went out of their way to get them scanned very quickly, as it was time sensitive. Really great customer service. The only pictures I take are with my phone, so I don't have a clue about photography- but there is a massive selection of cameras and accessories. I had just bought a Canon AE-1 at an antique store and knew nothing about it. I went into this store to see if this camera even worked and was function able. Not only did he give me a crash course about this camera but he took it apart and cleaned it and loaded my film. This place is a great place to go and learn about cameras and how they work. Not only do they educate you about cameras but they have all your camera needs, including filmmmmmmm! I recommend this place hands down! 5 stars! read more

I trusted Bedford with developing 10 rolls of film from an overseas trip and I'm extremely disappointed with their service. I decided to go here because of the reasonable price($5 per roll for processing only) and I assumed that they knew what they were doing since photography is their specialty. The film was not properly developed and has splotches on almost every single frame. Four out of ten rolls came back blank. There is a possibility it was our cameras, but I highly doubt it since we used several (reliable) cameras. It's frustrating because the photos are meaningful to me and they handled them carelessly. Stay away from Bedford and spend the extra money to ensure quality service. read more

They listen to what her use and experience is and match what she needs to their recommendations and don't try to oversell to her.
