I was seen at this office for a quick 2nd opinion on a black stain on one of my front tooth on October 14, 2025 @ 9am. I was kindly greeted by the front desk staff who questioned me about my concerns and reasons for my visits. I communicated that I was there for a second opinion on a black stain in front of one of my tooth. Shortly thereafter, this same front desk staff insisted I needed a "FULL-SET of TEETH X-Ray" in order for the dentist to fully assess the issues I was coming in for... again (black stain on front of one of my tooth) After persistent pressure from this same front desk staff. I eventually retrieved and was able to provided them a set of full teeth x-rays from MyChart. I informed her I just got them done from another dentist less than a month ago and am not comfortable getting another set of x-rays as my insurance might not cover another one so soon. Despite all this , this same front desk staff insisted that she will give me a "Complimentary FULL-TEETH X-Rays and that she will not charge me for them. So I agreed, with the terms of what we discussed. However, after the dentist looked at my teeth / full set of x-rays his front staff pressured me to get. The Dentist found (other issues that needed to be fixed) which is fine , the dentist is entitled to his opinion about what he believes he needs to work on etc.. The dentist seemed really kind and caring from my short interaction with him. And seemed to have a genuine interest in helping.. So on my way out, I was directed to speak with their office manager to discuss my treatment plans , insurance and cost etc. after getting all the information I let the staff know I'll figure out my work schedule and payment for the treatment the dentist recommended and will call them when I have some time off and schedule my appt. After doing the math and figuring out that my insurance won't be able to cover all the treatments the dentist recommended.. I had kindly reached out and texted Bedford Dental if they can send me copies of these "complimentary" teeth x-rays so I can figure out which tooth specially is most important for me that I want the dentist to work on. And they immediately replied with "Hi April, we're happy to provide you with copies of your x-rays and photos. Since we had waived the fee for them, there's a small $75 fee to release the images for personal use or transfer. Once payment is received, we'll email them right over to you." -(October 15, 2025 10:58am) Ofcourse, I didn't pay them anything as the front desk staff insisted they were "complimentary". Then I get another message from them on 10/27/25 "Hello April, this is Bedford Dental Group. You have a balance of $131.00 due. Your insurance has paid this claim and this is your portion.Please use this secure link to pay" (Mind you I haven't gotten any actual work done on any of the tooth the dentist recommended he needed to work on since they refused to provide me copies of the x-rays so I can actually review and decide which tooth I want done first) To make long story short.. I called to get clarity on what exactly I was being charged for. And a woman name Erin answered and claimed it was for the "FULL-SET of TEETH x-rays and the dentist examining and my front tooth" Erin claimed they had tried and billed my insurance for the FULL-SET of X-Rays but my insurance refused to pay the full amount and now they want me to pay the difference. I asked is this for the same "complimentary x-rays your staff pressured me to get so the dentist can look at one of my front tooth with a black stain"? then after "remembering" the promises they told me of not being charged. This woman claimed she would "waive the fees" and send me a email copy for the fees waiver. Today is now 10/29/25 and still no confirmation email from them nor was I provided with a copy of the complimentary teeth X-RAYs (the same X-Rays they billed my insurance for) they refused to provide me with copies but had no issues billing my insurance and now tried to have me pay the bill me when their request wasn't paid. Maybe if this place has staff that embody the caring and genuine service I experienced when interacting with the dentist .. I might consider coming back to bring my business. But after all this , it's a hard pass for me. This is not the type of experience I want to have going to any dental office. Please learn to treat others like how you would want others to treat you, love ones and your family! With respect, honesty, courtesy and professionalism. read more

Dr Danny Naysan, Is a terrible dentist. My daughter went to him for cavities and he not only over charged when we had insurance; but one of the filings after a week started to go bad. I personally did not like the way the staff interacted with customers. I went there just for a dental check-up, but I was really disappointed with the doctor's behavior. I shared my concerns with the manager, but instead of acknowledging the issue, they just defended the situation. I didn't want anything more than a simple and respectful check-up, but the way the examination was done felt extremely rude and unprofessional. I have been going to Bedford Dental for years for routine maintenance and cleanings. I recently had all 4 wisdom teeth removed and had the best experience I could have imagined. Everyone on the team - from Carlos at the front desk to Dr. Naysan - is caring, attentive and skilled at what they do. This guy ruined my teeth forever. After the sleazy sales pitch from the self proclaimed artist, I asked next step questions to start the process of getting veneers. Mind you, most of this is skipped over, making it all seem like a breeze, I was told they would barely be removing anything from my original teeth, he even compared this amount to a fraction of a paper width - which all sounded good. Reality was much different. I woke up from the botched and excessive veneer prep and was told "to not look" at what was left of my teeth. A nightmare of a difference is what I woke up to. What was supposed to be a simple prep compared to a fraction of a paper width turned into spikes for teeth. No discussion, just ground my teeth down to stubs without my approval. Fast forward to veneers being placed, sure they looked good as they were made at the leading lab down the road that makes all the veneers for all the Beverly Hills dentists. Living life with these veneers is a much different story. I've had 15 documented incidents where my veneers have popped off and have been put back on by other dentists depending on where I was in the world. I'll spare everyone the details, but it doesn't take much for them to come off - eating, brushing, flossing, pushing your tongue against them, extremely fragile and inefficient tools given the work. I was told this wasn't normal by every single dentist I sat with. Each explaining to me that Dr. Naysan prepped my teeth for crowns but gave me veneers. Grinding my teeth to nothing and expecting these small veneers to adhere to my teeth was negligent. I tried to gain perspective or defend what happened and all angrily came to the same conclusion that someone who had no idea what they were doing gave me veneers after ruining my teeth. After bringing this to the attention of Dr. Naysan and his staff their response was even more alarming. He offered to "fix" the problem by replacing a few of the front teeth with crowns. I explained that I lost all confidence and didn't want to have him anywhere near my mouth and was seeking a refund and was going to have crowns done elsewhere. Dr. Naysan wouldn't see me in person, so I sat with his out of the loop, incompetent and awkwardly defensive office manager. I was laughed off by his office manager saying that no money would be refunded, telling me that I signed an authorization allowing them to grind as much of my teeth down as they wanted. I'd think these things rent space in his head, but the inability to take ownership says it all. Quite the character on socials, boasting his celebrity clientele and creating silly content to keep the wheel turning. Doing good work doesn't seem too difficult or at least standing up to bad work to make things right. Think twice before making the same mistake I did. read more

I would give zero stars if I could. I am in the process of filing a complaint with the Dental Board of CA. I have no clue who did my unnecessary gum surgery they brought in some random "specialist" and had another "specialist" do my root canals. 4 out of 10 crowns placed by Dr. Naysan have fallen out. I had to get 2 dental implants because my teeth were shaved down to nothing. 2 more fell out and I spent $40k for them to ruin my life. Full story to follow but I want to warn EVERYONE read more

Read this. Stop searching. Make an appt! I spent 1 year deliberating on veneers. Spoke to all the "top" guys including Dr. Naysan. One wouldn't get on the phone with me or do a virtual consult. One wanted 500 bucks for a consult. The other spent 30 seconds - not paying attention to a single question and rushed me. The other said YOU DONT QUALIFY - you need braces for 2 years. Dr. Naysan talked to me for 15 min. Had confidence and gave me confidence. Gave me his cell to text with any questions. I'm not gonna lie - my teeth were in bad shape. He's an artist. He's precise. He understands the science behind this! His result with my BAD smile was better than the results other dentists posted on their sites of people with minor corrections they worked on! Coming to Bedford Dental is a wonderful experience! I first came to Dr. Naysan a year & 1/2 ago after another dentist did a terrible job with a crown and veneer. Dr. Naysan gave me a beautiful smile, as well as a regular checkup and recommendation for ongoing care. I'm very scared of the dentist due to past experiences, and he + the staff were very helpful in making sure I was comfortable for everything I needed work on. I came in for a cleaning on August 6, and Natalie/ the hygienist was so gentle and fast. Also, the staff deserves a shout out for their efficiency, quick response, and friendliness. I was informed by the receptionist that my insurance was accepted only to find out after they performed a four quadrant deep clean & x-rays that they are in fact, out of network. They also advised I would need considerable dental & periodontal work. Questioning this, I decided to get a 2nd opinion. Thanks goodness I did! UPDATE: PAY ATTENTION TO ALL THE 5 Star Reviews with ZERO friends! FAKE! CHECK WHAT IS BEING BILLED TO YOUR INSURANCE! I would NOT recommend Bedford Dental Group EVER. You should definitely look elsewhere if you want honest, professional treatment. I advise that anyone thinking of coming here based on the suspicious 5-star reviews to READ THE FILTERED REVIEWS. I do not understand why they are being filtered, as many of them are coming from people with dozens of reviews. Aptly described by another Yelper as "a hustle shop." I had a small space between my front two teeth and a crooked lower tooth that I wanted to have fixed. I was advised to get the very pricey Invisalign treatment. Another dentist came over to look at the space advised me that Invisalign was not necessary in my case, and that I should not get it. Of course, Naysan advised otherwise. I felt that he was aggressive in pushing this treatment for one small space. Each time I was at Bedford Dental, I was asked while still in the chair to hand my credit card over. I thought this unprofessional, and it made me feel uneasy. I'm not going to run out of the office without paying, so why do this? This is also noted in other reviews for this office. After the Invisalign process was completed, each time I went in to the office, a new treatment was pushed. This is also noted in several other reviews for this office. I felt like I could not trust the validity or usefulness of these treatments. First, it was teeth whitening. I actually paid with the Invisalign for the Zoom teeth whitening treatment, which I never had done, and which was never refunded to me. I was handed a stack of Bedford Dental Group cards with an offer directly from the dentist. Bring 10 people in and I'll give you a free tube of whitening paste. This also made me feel uneasy, as no other dentist I have been to has offered referral "deals" such as this. I later learned that this paste was called, "Nightwhite" and goes for about $100 for 3 tubes. Next, I was told that I needed my wisdom teeth removed. This set off many alarms. When I was a kid, I specifically had teeth removed so that I would not have to have my wisdom teeth taken out. It was at this point that I wanted a second opinion. In addition to the whole wisdom teeth removal, I also wanted a second opinion on the Invisalign, as my bottom teeth were now hitting the back of my front teeth. So, the new dentist I went to told me straight off the bat that I did NOT need my wisdom teeth removed AND that Bedford Dental had botched the Invisalign. I was advised that there were several DANGERS in having my wisdom teeth removed at this point in my life. I was shown xrays and explained in detail why I DID NOT need my wisdom teeth removed. I had to have the entire Invisalign process done AGAIN to fix what had been done at Bedford Dental. Oh, and to add injury to insult... My new dentist asked how my deep cleaning went during my first visit. I was caught off guard, as I had no deep cleaning done. For those of you who do not know, a "deep cleaning" is when the dentist goes quadrant by quadrant. It's an intense, multi-appointment, expensive process. I asked them what they were talking about, and they told me that Bedford Dental had billed my insurance for a "deep cleaning" which is multiple times more expensive than a regular cleaning. I never heard from them again about the hundreds of dollars I had paid for my teeth whitening which was never done. Alas, I almost forgot to mention their appointment and cancellation policy. I like to call my appointment in, as I want to check my work schedule first. Well, they just made appointments for me, did not tell me, and then charged me a cancellation/no show fee! This happened twice until I firmly told them to stop doing this. I should also point out that several times, I was forced to wait when I was on time for appointments. I actually witnessed the dentist whizzing into the parking structure on several occasions. Late, no apologizes given. I felt it necessary to report my experience here to warn others. Naysan, in my opinion, acts like a creepy, untrustworthy used car salesman. ps... I'm shocked to see how many people had a similar experience to mine, but their reviews were filtered? Again, I highly suggest that anyone considering going here read the filtered reviews. Another Yelp review aptly sums up Bedford Dental, "Bedford Dental is like going to Jiffy Lube. You go in for a $50 oil change and they tell you what you really need is hundreds of dollars worth of "additional" work." 1 I've now received threats of frivolous legal action via SAGHIAN LAW FIRM, PC for daring to report my negative experiences at Bedford Dental Group here on yelp. BEWARE if you have Delta dental Insurance. Lisa (The doctor's wife and office manager who makes all the executive decisions) do us all a favor and disenrolled the doctors as a provider from Delta dental insurance. Lisa makes business decisions based on her emotions/ego and doesn't considers the patient's health or circumstances. Just because you have a certain kind of insurance this doesn't give you the right to treat people poorly. The dentist are nice but rarely on time for your appointment... Long wait times!! At the minimum 45 min wait before being seen on three separate occasions. The staff tries to accommodate you w/ coffee, tea, water but at the end of the day there's no excuse for untimely service time after time. My time is valuable. You are charged if you cancel appointments and given a bill. Not to mention that they conveniently reschedule you and expect for you to flexible, however, when you need to cancel at a moments notice for unforeseen circumstances they charge you. Thank you Alenor Canlas-Antonio, Director of Operation for refunding my $150 and being so kind to provide me with an explanation as to why Lisa behave the way that she did. The fact that my husband and I drive 3 hours (each way) to see Doctor Nayssan should be proof enough that he's the best around. Before I first saw him, I was trying out other dentists in La Jolla. One in particular, who is "La Jolla's #1 dentist," gave me an evaluation and told me I had NINE cavities that needed urgent fixing. Traumatized and in shock, I took my husband's advice and saw Dr. Nayssan. Turns out, I had zero cavities and the spots on my teeth that the La Jolla dentist thought were cavities were just stains and sensitivity from grinding my teeth, which I never knew I did until Dr. Nayssan told me. You will not find a better, more caring and more professional dentist on the face of this planet. He and his staff treat you like family, the new office is gorgeous and pristine (you feel like you're getting your teeth cleaned in the future), he plays soothing music, and natural sunlight fills the office and makes you feel like you're in a spa. Whether it's for a cleaning (he and his hygienist are so thorough), whitening (top-of-the-line Zoom machines), Invisalign, oral surgery (his oral surgeon removed my impacted wisdom teeth in less than 10 minutes), etc., you will not be disappointed if you go here. P.S. There's even free two hour parking directly across the street in the public parking garage on Bedford and the best frozen Greek yogurt a few doors down. read more

I have put off writing this review for some time, as I really hate saying negative things about someone and their business, however, I also feel the need to be honest. Especially since my photos have been used for their promotion of a "beautiful smile", and "happy patient" I had known Daniel for years and he had done my first set of veneers right out of dental school. They were very averagely done, but he gave me an incredible deal and was very caring while doing them, so how could I complain? They looked nice and I was very grateful even with the minor imperfections. (They started to recede first) in which Daniel told me I didn't floss enough, confused because I did floss, I started making sure to floss even more, which this didn't fix the problem. I went to another cosmetic dentist for them to tell me that the gums were receding due to small fragments of cement in the gums. He tried to drill it off and it was corrected to satisfaction. Then one day the front veneer chipped. I found this very odd and when I went to Daniel he said it was from me grinding my teeth? I've never been a teeth grinder, but ok fine. He put a little composite on and fixed it for free. great! thanks! This happened once more and needed to be fixed and he willing did it. Fast forward ten years later to March 2017 him doing my second set. I was excited. Daniel had a decade of experience on his belt and I felt very trusting of him as I felt more like a friend than just a patient. He had moved to a new office and I felt like given the past of him being pretty helpful when issues arose, I was happy to give him my business and money. He did the teeth and they looked great, the bicuspids were a little vampire like at first, but he filed them down no issue. I loved them! Such an improvement from the last ones. Daniel even suggested bringing the teeth back a little so they wouldn't look "horse like". I was on board. He's the pro right? I was so happy leaving the office with my new beautiful smile. 4 months later is when the happiness started to slowly wear off. My new beautiful smile started to change....I started to get a gap in my teeth. I was confused but it was small so I thought maybe I was just being a paranoid perfectionist. I was traveling Europe for 9 months and didn't wanna fly back just to be a nuisance. but as months went on, the gap got bigger, mind you I had never had a gap in my front teeth before. So upon getting back to the US I went to Daniel and told him my concerns, he said as we age our teeth shift, what? In four months that happens? He suggested I get Invisalign? wait, what? I just spent thousands on a new smile and veneers and now another 5k for invisalign? I was so upset. He made suggestions about maybe my perineum was too short and that is what was causing it? He wanted me to go see an orthodontist. I went to 3 orthos and 2 cosmetic dentists in the time I also went back to Daniel 3 times pleading for him to just fix the veneers. (This is what the cosmetic dentists said would be right. One refused to even work on my because he didn't wanna fix someone else's mistake and make it even worse. Every ortho told me that the veneers were brought too far in to where my bottom teeth were now pushing them up and out causing the gap to be created. It was a mechanical issue with how the veneers were set up, their angle and shape. I did smile direct. That still didn't help. The new cosmetic dentists even told me he should really just correct his mistake in which he wouldn't. He genuinely could take no blame for his work and mistake and wanted me to go all these other routes. After a lot of consultations, annoyance, sadness, I have now decided to pay 4k (getting a deal) for invisalign, then the ortho will have to shave down my bottom teeth a bit to try to keep them from hitting the veneers. I also have to try to shave the back of the veneers to get a retainer wire in there as currently one wouldn't fit to hold the teeth together once the Invisalign corrects the gap..... so much more time and money and even then after the invisalign if they can't fit the retainer then a new set of veneers may be something I have to do. I am so disappointed in the fact Daniel couldn't just save me all this time, money, and frustration and I've basically paid him thousands for nothing. When a cosmetic dentist is doing your new teeth they must take your bite and other factors into consideration. Go to a dentist who will care about you in the long run and fix his mistakes and own up to them, not blame you or make excuses wanting you to pay more and more. The fact I have to get invisalign now after veneers is a joke. go to someone who makes patient satisfaction a priority. I will never go to this place again, the office is lovely but the after care isn't there. HOLY CRAP...WHAT AN AMAZING TRANSFORMATION! And, I know what transformations are all about! I've known Dr. Naysan for years, and knew that he was the perfect person to help me with the transformation that I wanted (and, quite frankly needed!). Despite an initial reluctance to get veneers because of the "bad old days" of veneers in the 80s and 90s, seeing Dr. Naysan's beautiful work on my friends, colleagues and family erased any question. Through the entire process, Dr. Naysan and his staff have been truly incredible. Form the beginning, he took the time to carefully listen to my needs and concerns and carefully explain to me his plan for my transformation. His attention to detail is inspirational, his keen aesthetic eye is impressive, but for me his amazing excitement and passion for the transformation was the most compelling. To give an idea of how happy I am about his work, the second I saw this post, I stopped everything I was doing and wrote my thoughts down because I really wanted to share with the world how happy I am. Worst decision I have made. I went in for teeth whitening. And my teeth were already pretty white. Now there is discoloration on my teeth and my two front teeth have a border on them near my gums from the stuff they put on that is suppose to protect your gums. But after removal the stain is still there. Complete waste of money. Target white stops work just as good if not better. I can't have someone look close up on my teeth.
