Life-Changing Experience with Dr. Sam Saleh and His Team For as long as I can remember, I was incredibly self-conscious about my smile. As a teenager and throughout adulthood, I avoided smiling in photos, rarely smiled in public, and never truly felt confident. After years of researching cosmetic dentists and studying countless cases, I ultimately chose Dr. Sam Saleh--and I can honestly say it was one of the best decisions I've ever made. From my very first FaceTime consultation, Dr. Saleh took the time to explain the process, answer my questions, and set realistic expectations. Throughout the entire journey, Giovanna and Poroshat were outstanding. They were always responsive, accommodating, and genuinely cared about making the experience as smooth as possible. What impressed me most during my initial visit was that Dr. Saleh's priority wasn't just creating a beautiful smile--it was creating a healthy one. He performed a comprehensive examination, explained everything in detail, and developed a treatment plan focused on restoring my oral health before enhancing the aesthetics. That level of honesty and professionalism immediately earned my trust. On the day my treatment began, Dr. Saleh told me something I'll never forget: "I've spent the last few weeks studying your face, your smile, your personality, and this is the design I created for you." That statement perfectly reflected the level of thought and artistry that went into my case. Dr. Lee and Daisy made the procedure remarkably comfortable, constantly checking on me and making sure I was doing well. I genuinely felt cared for every step of the way. Seeing my temporary smile for the first time completely exceeded my expectations, but the final porcelain restorations somehow managed to surpass even that. Before bonding everything permanently, Dr. Saleh walked with me through different lighting conditions to make sure I was completely happy with every detail. That attention to detail says everything about his commitment to excellence. One of my favorite moments happened during my final visit. While I was waiting in the reception area, another couple asked if I lived in Los Angeles. When I told them I had traveled there specifically for my veneers, they looked at me and asked, "Wait... you've already had them done?" At that moment, I knew Dr. Saleh had accomplished exactly what I wanted--a smile so natural that people couldn't tell I was wearing veneers. When I finally saw my before-and-after photos, my first reaction was, "Don't show me that old guy!" The difference wasn't just in my teeth. I looked happier, more confident, and more like the person I had always wanted to be. Every appointment was on time, the office was immaculate, and every member of the team treated me with kindness, professionalism, and genuine care. I never once felt like just another patient. If you're considering veneers, especially if you're traveling from out of state like I did, I can say without hesitation that Dr. Sam Saleh and his team exceeded every expectation I had. They didn't just give me a beautiful smile--they gave me confidence I had been missing for years. Thank you, Dr. Saleh, Dr. Lee, Daisy, Giovanna, Poroshat, and the entire team for changing my life. I will gladly continue traveling to Los Angeles for my dental care and couldn't recommend this practice more highly.

I went to Dr. Saleh with high expectations based on his work on many notable people and their testimonials on INSTAGRAM. I chose to go to Dr. Saleh because I believed I would receive the same quality treatment. But unfortunately, my experience has been nothing less than a nightmare. I have been in constant pain and discomfort ever since the day I got the veneers, getting back-to-back infections and needing root canal one after the other. I never had any of these issues prior and I was also checked before getting the veneers. I addressed my concerns repeatedly to Dr. Saleh but was again and again dismissed. I had to get 3 root canals after getting the veneers. Despite completing the root canal treatments, the prescribed antibiotic course, and the adjustments that another local dentist in New York had to make upon Dr. Saleh's request, the issues and discomfort did not resolve. It is no longer about aesthetics, but the functionality of my overall bite that's been compromised. Initially I was told to give it more time and the pain would subside as the gums healed but months went by, and the pain only got worse. That's when I decided to go see another reputable aesthetic dentist in New York for a second opinion and this is what he had to say, "The multitude of open clinical margins outlined above, the multitude of root canals since her relatively recent treatment, and the grade 3 mobility/ malocclusion on her lower anterior veneers are of high concern to me. The patient has been in pain and discomfort since the time of her veneer placement with her previous provider and the patient is in clear distress. It is in my very strong opinion, whether with myself, another provider, or with the provider that restored her veneers initially - that this patient needs to have her veneers re-done. The state of her open margins leaves her at very high risk for leakage, decay, and potential risk for more root canals. The state of her occlusion has left her with severe grade 3 mobility on #23-26 and the long-term prognosis of these teeth are questionable. My suggested course of treatment is to remove her current restorations and to replace them with properly sealed margins, and for her occlusion to be re-calibrated to alleviate the traumatic forces on her anterior dentition". I sent the detailed report to Dr. Saleh and was responded with the following message, "Dentistry is not an exact science, there is no guarantee for anticipated or desired results, there is always an inherent risk for further treatment, and there is no promise for the longevity of this treatment, as explained in our consent forms and signed by you prior to the procedure performed. I have attached these agreements below for your review, which you had freely signed and agreed to. We are formally terminating our patient-doctor relationship as you have seeked an alternative provider to address your dental needs and concerns. If you have any further demands, this will be forwarded to our legal team". I am left with no other choice but to suffer and continue to be in pain every day and it's okay for Dr. Saleh because I signed the consent and dentistry is not an exact science!! I wish I never went to Dr. Saleh. Every single day I regret my decision. There is so much more to mention but I am so traumatized by the whole experience and feel drained mentally, emotionally, and financially.

Waiting in the lobby before my teeth were ground down to tiny little pegs.

Average price of veneers?

Do regular people (not rich/wealthy) can afford them? If so what would be an option? Thank you in advance for your answer.

I will continue to go to Ora Dentistry for my regular cleanings and I may even do lower veneers in the future.

You really, really have to watch them because they are constantly trying to upsell you on something, like nearly every visit it's always something different that they want to do to my teeth and it's starting to get on my nerves. Everything is always a catastrophe with them, even when my teeth are perfectly fine. I have no major issues beyond the usual tartar buildup, cavities (level 1 last time I was in), and wisdom teeth woes that everyone struggles with. And yet nearly every single time I come into this office, they're trying to sell me something and push some unnecessary procedure on me that I didn't ask for. One day it's some sort of flouride trays you wear overnight because apparently my teeth are going to fall out of my head otherwise. Then some other time they want to file my teeth down and put crowns on them because I have a bit of mild permanent staining on my molars which I have had for years and told them I really don't care about. I don't work in television so no one is looking in my mouth like that. Just on and on constant catastrophes and making it seem like I am in some sort of imminent dental danger unless I do this very expensive thing to my teeth. And of course when you decline they huff and puff and start with the "well akshually" song and dance, and I try very hard to sit there and not argue with them because all I want is to get my teeth cleaned and go home. From my own observations, it seems that a lot of this behavior is a mixture of arrogance stemming from their overhyped, wealthy, but clueless clientele, one or two celebrity clients who probably get everything comped unlike us mere plebs, and simply pure, zip code snobbery. A lot of people are paying out of pocket, don't ask what they're paying for, but as long as you spin them a good story about how amazing something is and how it's going to give them Hulk teeth that can chomp dinosaur bones to bits, they don't really care and aren't interested. I mean that's fine for other people, but I've had bad experiences with dentists in the past trying to bleed me dry when they find out you're not broke so I have learned to question them when they tell you things - half of the stuff they recommend is not necessary unless you have really, really jacked up teeth. Which I don't. I also forgot to mention that one of their billers tried to get me to drop my excellent insurance plan with Delta Dental for something through Covered CA which would, of course, increase the amount of money they could charge me. Never saw her again after I called them out on this nonsense. Then after my last visit they lied YET AGAIN and said I only have two covered cleanings in a calendar year which is a bunch of bull - all cleanings are covered, so again the constant lying and gaslighting with them is insane. And the last time I came in, they had a TikTok streamer or whatever with his gold chains jangling and one of the hygienists standing in the lobby taking up all the oxygen yapping about their tens of hundreds of views and trading tips on how to viralmaxx their accounts. i know it's LA so everyone is almost famous, but no. I know people are reading this and probably wondering why I keep going back. The truth is I enjoy seeing them die a little inside every time I come in and refuse all their ridiculous $5000 treatment plans and basically walk out paying at most $100 or so for routine cleanings and fillings. They get so bitter when you come in with nice teeth; they'll literally stonewall you and pout and not speak to you or be friendly during your treatment, it's just hilarious to me to see them try to come up with some excuse to drill, saw, or cut into my mouth and I just simply tell them no lol. Thankfully I am moving abroad again in a few months so I don't have to deal with them ever again.

Update after owner's response:…read more Dr. Kalasho, I appreciate your response. You're correct that my experience occurred several years ago. I recently discussed dentists with a friend and realized I had never shared my experience publicly. In fact, I had written down most of my thoughts shortly after the events occurred but never got around to posting them. I also want to clarify that my concern was never whether a procedure was covered by insurance. My concern was that I often felt encouraged toward higher-cost treatments without receiving explanations that gave me confidence they were necessary. For example, when I was told I needed a deep cleaning, I don't recall being given a clear explanation based on the condition of my teeth at the time beyond the fact that I had received one previously. Regarding the Invisalign issue, my frustration was not the outcome itself, but how it was handled. I raised concerns beforehand, incurred additional expense afterward, and felt dismissed when I returned seeking help. I also noticed that your response did not address one of the main points in my review: the way additional services were often presented as being "free" or costing very little because they could be applied against the $150 deposit or membership credit I had already paid. Regardless of intent, that approach never felt transparent to me and contributed significantly to my loss of trust in the practice. I recognize that many patients have had positive experiences with TruGlo. My review simply reflects my own experience and the reasons I ultimately chose to seek care elsewhere. I did receive your voicemail yesterday and plan to return your call today. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I really wanted to like TruGlo. The offices are beautiful (especially the Beverly Hills location), the staff is friendly, and the reviews are stellar. Unfortunately, after being a patient for several months, I completely lost trust in the practice and ultimately switched dentists. A few examples: 1) The upselling and pricing explanations never sat right with me. One of the first recommendations I received was for a deep cleaning, which is significantly more expensive than a standard cleaning. When I asked why it was necessary, the primary explanation seemed to be that I had received one in the past. Maybe there were legitimate reasons, but I never felt like I received a clear explanation based on the actual condition of my teeth and gums. In fact, the hygienist also said she could not do a standard cleaning because she could 'be held liable'. I was shocked. More broadly on more than one occasion, I often felt pressured to add services and then told they were essentially "free" or "only a few dollars" because the charges could be applied against my $150 deposit or membership credit. That logic never made sense to me. It's still my money. It felt like the office would recommend additional treatments and then use money I had already paid to make the cost sound insignificant. The whole thing felt more like a sales tactic than transparent healthcare pricing. What really made me question things was when I showed my treatment plan and charges to a few dentist friends. Several of them were surprised by some of the extra fees and told me those were things many dentists typically don't charge for separately. I understand every office is different, but by that point it was hard not to feel like the practice was looking for every opportunity to bill for something. 2) I lost confidence after a crown procedure. Before getting a crown, I specifically told the dentist that I used Invisalign and even brought my trays with me. I was assured the crown would be shaped so my trays would still fit afterward. The crown itself was fine, but my Invisalign trays no longer fit. I ended up having to spend hundreds of dollars and significant time getting new trays made. To make matters worse, the office later told me they would try to help by providing a complimentary scan. Based on that conversation, I made a special trip back to the office, only to be told when I arrived that they couldn't do it after all. The whole interaction felt very dismissive. No one seemed particularly concerned that I had made the trip based on their earlier assurances, and there was little effort to take accountability for the situation. 3) The stellar reviews make more sense now. Patients are offered complimentary services (such as fluoride treatments) in exchange for leaving a review, and you're asked to show the review before receiving the free service. While everyone is free to leave whatever review they want, it definitely made me view the overwhelmingly positive ratings a little differently. To be fair, the office is beautiful and many of the employees are genuinely kind. But between the upselling, the Invisalign issue, the communication problems, and the review incentives, I ultimately decided to take my dental care elsewhere.

During my recent visit, it seemed like Dr. Ghiam tried getting the two receptionists to talk me into scheduling future appointments. Towards the end of that appointment, the two front desk staffs came into the room I was in and tried convincing me that future appointments were necessary to "fix the damage." I felt like this was simply a way for the doctor to get more money from me because I have been a patient there for a year and he would put minimal effort in fixing the issue during the teeth cleaning appointments. I've reached out to the office multiple times to obtain my dental records from all visits and they were deliberately sending me files that were corrupted or unopenable to complicate the situation. If you weren't going to fix the issue then be transparent about it and give me my money back. But don't lie and say you're going to repair the damages if you have no intentions in doing so just so you can keep the money. I was kindly greeted by the front desk staff who questioned me about my concerns and reasons for my visits. I communicated that I was there for a second opinion on a black stain in front of one of my tooth. Shortly thereafter, this same front desk staff insisted I needed a "FULL-SET of TEETH X-Ray" in order for the dentist to fully assess the issues I was coming in for... again (black stain on front of one of my tooth) After persistent pressure from this same front desk staff. I eventually retrieved and was able to provided them a set of full teeth x-rays from MyChart. I informed her I just got them done from another dentist less than a month ago and am not comfortable getting another set of x-rays as my insurance might not cover another one so soon. Despite all this , this same front desk staff insisted that she will give me a "Complimentary FULL-TEETH X-Rays and that she will not charge me for them. So I agreed, with the terms of what we discussed. However, after the dentist looked at my teeth / full set of x-rays his front staff pressured me to get. The Dentist found (other issues that needed to be fixed) which is fine , the dentist is entitled to his opinion about what he believes he needs to work on etc.. The dentist seemed really kind and caring from my short interaction with him. And seemed to have a genuine interest in helping.. So on my way out, I was directed to speak with their office manager to discuss my treatment plans , insurance and cost etc. after getting all the information I let the staff know I'll figure out my work schedule and payment for the treatment the dentist recommended and will call them when I have some time off and schedule my appt. After doing the math and figuring out that my insurance won't be able to cover all the treatments the dentist recommended.. I had kindly reached out and texted Bedford Dental if they can send me copies of these "complimentary" teeth x-rays so I can figure out which tooth specially is most important for me that I want the dentist to work on. And they immediately replied with "Hi April, we're happy to provide you with copies of your x-rays and photos. Since we had waived the fee for them, there's a small $75 fee to release the images for personal use or transfer. Once payment is received, we'll email them right over to you." -(October 15, 2025 10:58am) Ofcourse, I didn't pay them anything as the front desk staff insisted they were "complimentary". Then I get another message from them on 10/27/25 "Hello April, this is Bedford Dental Group. You have a balance of $131.00 due. Your insurance has paid this claim and this is your portion. Please use this secure link to pay" (Mind you I haven't gotten any actual work done on any of the tooth the dentist recommended he needed to work on since they refused to provide me copies of the x-rays so I can actually review and decide which tooth I want done first) To make long story short.. I called to get clarity on what exactly I was being charged for. And a woman name Erin answered and claimed it was for the "FULL-SET of TEETH x-rays and the dentist examining and my front tooth" Erin claimed they had tried and billed my insurance for the FULL-SET of X-Rays but my insurance refused to pay the full amount and now they want me to pay the difference. I asked is this for the same "complimentary x-rays your staff pressured me to get so the dentist can look at one of my front tooth with a black stain"? then after "remembering" the promises they told me of not being charged. This woman claimed she would "waive the fees" and send me a email copy for the fees waiver. Today is now 10/29/25 and still no confirmation email from them nor was I provided with a copy of the complimentary teeth X-RAYs (the same X-Rays they billed my insurance for) they refused to provide me with copies but had no issues billing my insurance and now tried to have me pay the bill me when their request wasn't paid. Maybe if this place has staff that embody the caring and genuine service I experienced when interacting with the dentist .. I might consider coming back to bring my business. But after all this , it's a hard pass for me. This is not the type of experience I want to have going to any dental office. Please learn to treat others like how you would want others to treat you, love ones and your family! With respect, honesty, courtesy and professionalism.

Then I met the billing department. How is it that the people holding sharp metal tools near my face were the most reassuring part of the experience? Every time I called about a bill, I got a different explanation. The numbers moved around more than a politician's campaign promises. I'd ask a simple question and somehow leave the conversation with three new questions and less confidence than when I started. And the callbacks? Let's just say if I ever go missing, I hope the police don't use this office's billing department to follow up on leads. The frustrating part is that the actual dental care was excellent. It's like owning a Ferrari with a GPS that keeps directing you into a lake.

I had never received a professional teeth whitening treatment before, so I was not entirely sure what to expect. The entire experience was fantastic, and the difference in my smile was immediately noticeable. My teeth look incredibly clean and are several shades lighter. Before the whitening treatment, I received a very thorough teeth cleaning. The hygienist was gentle and did an excellent job. The whitening process itself was highly comfortable, and I felt completely relaxed the whole time. An unexpected bonus was the high-tech diagnostic process. They took detailed three dimensional scans that mapped out my teeth, jaw, and skull. The doctor took the time to go over the images with me, explaining how my teeth and jaw alignment connect to my overall health. It was fascinating to learn so much during what was supposed to be a simple cosmetic visit. The customer service is outstanding, and the technology they use is impressive. If you want to brighten your smile and get a truly detailed look at your dental health, I highly recommend this place.
