Dr. Moldovan discovered three cavitations, and I underwent cavitation surgery that same day. I thank God I did. It's now been 7 months since the surgery, and I am feeling better than I have in the last decade. Many of my health issues have improved or resolved --one major one being heart palpitations. You should literally go to any other dental practice!…read more In my experience, the quality of care is average to poor - I've had to pester the office over a period of multiple weeks stretching to months to get new clear aligners after the dentist was unhappy with the initial results. If you don't pester, you'll just never hear back...After my last treatment, the dentist needed to do "research" to find a product that could help him finish polishing my wax up and promised to follow up once they had the product. That was August of 2025! Still no word. Perhaps worse, I've experienced the office staff at The Lounge pressuring my dental hygienist to upsell me on various products like an oral detox (which is manufactured by a company that is also owned by Dr. Moldovan). This would be bad enough to warrant a warning to stay away but the office staff is truly abysmal. I've experienced promises that they would submit insurance forms that they never seem to submit (at least according to the insurance company) and have had to send 10 email requests just to get a "super bill" so that I can submit to the insurance company myself. Amazingly, Dr. Moldovan refuses to have a conversation about the quality of her staff and the service level they provide. Instead she seems to prefer to tell her staff to quote her as saying, " I will not discuss the dental insurance with our patients, for this has never been my speciality, this is my practice and insurance is not accepted as payment, I am a periodontist trying to heal the world." I've never known another business owner to refuse a conversation with a customer because the topic "has never been my speciality". Again, you should literally go to any other dental practice!

I promise you they're 20/10 level of "we care about you". I was kindly greeted by the front desk staff who questioned me about my concerns and reasons for my visits. I communicated that I was there for a second opinion on a black stain in front of one of my tooth. Shortly thereafter, this same front desk staff insisted I needed a "FULL-SET of TEETH X-Ray" in order for the dentist to fully assess the issues I was coming in for... again (black stain on front of one of my tooth) After persistent pressure from this same front desk staff. I eventually retrieved and was able to provided them a set of full teeth x-rays from MyChart. I informed her I just got them done from another dentist less than a month ago and am not comfortable getting another set of x-rays as my insurance might not cover another one so soon. Despite all this , this same front desk staff insisted that she will give me a "Complimentary FULL-TEETH X-Rays and that she will not charge me for them. So I agreed, with the terms of what we discussed. However, after the dentist looked at my teeth / full set of x-rays his front staff pressured me to get. The Dentist found (other issues that needed to be fixed) which is fine , the dentist is entitled to his opinion about what he believes he needs to work on etc.. The dentist seemed really kind and caring from my short interaction with him. And seemed to have a genuine interest in helping.. So on my way out, I was directed to speak with their office manager to discuss my treatment plans , insurance and cost etc. after getting all the information I let the staff know I'll figure out my work schedule and payment for the treatment the dentist recommended and will call them when I have some time off and schedule my appt. After doing the math and figuring out that my insurance won't be able to cover all the treatments the dentist recommended.. I had kindly reached out and texted Bedford Dental if they can send me copies of these "complimentary" teeth x-rays so I can figure out which tooth specially is most important for me that I want the dentist to work on. And they immediately replied with "Hi April, we're happy to provide you with copies of your x-rays and photos. Since we had waived the fee for them, there's a small $75 fee to release the images for personal use or transfer. Once payment is received, we'll email them right over to you." -(October 15, 2025 10:58am) Ofcourse, I didn't pay them anything as the front desk staff insisted they were "complimentary". Then I get another message from them on 10/27/25 "Hello April, this is Bedford Dental Group. You have a balance of $131.00 due. Your insurance has paid this claim and this is your portion.Please use this secure link to pay" (Mind you I haven't gotten any actual work done on any of the tooth the dentist recommended he needed to work on since they refused to provide me copies of the x-rays so I can actually review and decide which tooth I want done first) To make long story short.. I called to get clarity on what exactly I was being charged for. And a woman name Erin answered and claimed it was for the "FULL-SET of TEETH x-rays and the dentist examining and my front tooth" Erin claimed they had tried and billed my insurance for the FULL-SET of X-Rays but my insurance refused to pay the full amount and now they want me to pay the difference. I asked is this for the same "complimentary x-rays your staff pressured me to get so the dentist can look at one of my front tooth with a black stain"? then after "remembering" the promises they told me of not being charged. This woman claimed she would "waive the fees" and send me a email copy for the fees waiver. Today is now 10/29/25 and still no confirmation email from them nor was I provided with a copy of the complimentary teeth X-RAYs (the same X-Rays they billed my insurance for) they refused to provide me with copies but had no issues billing my insurance and now tried to have me pay the bill me when their request wasn't paid. Maybe if this place has staff that embody the caring and genuine service I experienced when interacting with the dentist .. I might consider coming back to bring my business. But after all this , it's a hard pass for me. This is not the type of experience I want to have going to any dental office. I read Rhiannon S's review and decided to write my own, it might serve as a "note of concern" for…read moreanyone reading. I got my veneers done by Dr. Connelly about 5 years ago. They turned out pretty good--but only because I bypassed Dr. Connelly and visited the lab directly. This is because the temporary veneers he made honestly looked awful. Flat, unnaturally white, and no shape. I know its plastic and thats normal, but since I was going to be wearing the temps for 2-3 weeks, I wanted them to look better. I requested a change in the temps to make the front teeth slightly longer (like 1-2mm), to make it look like a normal smile design, which took a whole week to create. But once I got them fitted they looked way worse than the first, almost like horse teeth (i swear, just the front two teeth were 2-3 mm bigger than the rest). Straight up bugs bunny look..... When I asked if he genuinely thought they looked good, he said yes--so did his assistants. That was a super red flag to me. Doesn't matter how nice they seem, or their social media testimonials, you really don't know someone's expertise until you see it for yourself, and theres a wave of nervous concern when your sitting in a chair with sore, shaved teeth, wearing temporaries that look SO bad, and being told to your face "they look great". So I drove to the lab, which is in a different city, to see what the original plans for my veneers were. And yep, just as i thought, the original veneer plans Dr. Connelly gave was WAY to white and way too bulky for my mouth. I had to ensure with the lab technician that for the final design, all front teeth were 2-3 mm less than what was originally planned for (trust me, even a 1mm difference is BIG), and I also changed the white color BL2 to BL3 (honestly, i wish had gone to BL4 or lower). The person helping me decide these things also agreed with me that these original plans were definintely not aesthetically pleasing for me, and way too white. My gripe was that these are all things that should have been done at dentists office. Here's another thing: When you meet Dr. Connelly for a veneer consult, you will not be "customizing" much. He says he already has in mind what you are looking for, and says that he "knows whats best" on what your teeth will look like and what color. I'm sure if u tell him NO, i want THIS COLOR, he will do it for you. But because most people don't know what length, color, shape they want, you'd probably just go with his recommendation, not knowing what BL1, BL2, BL3 actually look like in real life. There's little collaborative design compared to other dentists. Just keep in mind, Dr. Connelly is a celebrity dentist in the heart of LA, working on celebrity's smiles, those are his real clients. So unless you want to have a "movie star" smile, where the teeth are really really white and u like that almost "fake" look, go for it. But if your a person who wants perfect looking teeth that also look very natural, I'd recommend seeing a different dentist who is more willing to work with you to customize your actual veneers in terms of length, color, fit, etc much more precisely. Dont look at videos and see "white" smiles and think they look great in real life. If they're noticeable on video, they're even more noticeable in-person. My regrets are 1. I went too white. Even BL4 is whiter than natural teeth. 2. I did too many veneers. I should've just done the front 4-6 only and color-matched them to the rest. You most definintely DO NOT need to do more, especially the bottom teeth, unless you have actual staining on your teeth. 3. I should've chosen a different dentist. Would've saved me a ton of money and stress. $5K per tooth is overkill. Pros: Office is very clean, staff is very nice and responsive. When I take a picture from the side or if you look at me from the side, my smile looks like a big fake chunky piece of dentures were put on. I have contacted Dr. Connelly and his assistant which both have told me Dr. Connelly doesn't want to fix it. Now I'm at a loss for $25,000 for him drilling off a significant chunk of my natural teeth to put these curved out and hideous fake looking veneers on? Im extremely disappointed that a dentist in Beverly Hills with his reputation won't fix the issue. I have contacted another dentist and it's going to cost me $10,000 to make my 4 front teeth look somewhat normal again. I have no words of how upset I am right now.
