The service when you purchase is good, but make sure you want that bed. Because when it goes out of the store, you no longer can change it, without losing half the value. We purchased two beds (over$7000 we spent) and wanted to change one. we called with in 2- 3 weeks of having it. I was disappointed in the customer service bcz it took another three weeks to get an answer and I had to call them again. So if we wanted to exchange it, it would only be worth half price of what we paid. We do love the king bed we got and wanted to get another king instead of the queen we ordered. They do NOT stand behind their products! I purchased a king mattress for my daughter and her fiancé in March and when they went to move (only 3 months later) they found black mold on the bottom of it! They were given the run around and were told there was nothing they could do about it. Not impressed with the quality or the customer service at all. I question the materials used and handling of them during the manufacturing process?? Will not recommend to anyone and will definitely share my experience. read more

Purchased my bed two years ago and love it. We had to wait a long time for it (backorders on materials I think) but it was worth it. Yes we paid a lot but i never wake up with back, shoulder or hip pain like I was having before. Whenever we travel, coming home to our bed reaffirms how wonderful our bed is. TL;DR: No refunds (which is not clearly stated anywhere other than a small highlighted area on your receipt after your purchase), bed is incredibly uncomfortable, you pay extra because they offer an upgrade service where the full price of your mattress goes towards any upgrades in the future (this would be a plus, but the baseline product is uncomfortable so you'll probably be using this sooner than you'd like.) My mother bought a bed from this place for me as a present less than a month ago and it's worse in every way than the bed I had for 5 years prior. The bed is very firm which is fine, kind of wish it was softer but it being firm isn't the problem in itself, there's an area going down right around the middle that's VERY hard, I don't know if it's like a board or springs or what but it digs into my back like crazy. After telling her what I thought of the bed a few days later, she called the store to ask about a refund since it was obvious I wasn't enjoying it and was told they have a NO REFUNDS policy, which wasn't made clear when she purchased the bed. Apparently they highlight a section on your receipt when they give it to you that says no refunds, but otherwise it wasn't brought up at all. Their only answer for the bed being uncomfortable was paying even more money to add extra layers of foam to the mattress and after spending nearly a grand already, that's a ridiculous ask to spend even more money just to make an already relatively expensive mattress just a baseline level of comfortable. Unfortunately I'm probably going to wind up just going back to my old mattress because the new one is THAT awful, and it's really disappointing that a store that specializes in making beds in-house won't stand by their product to a point of even offering a 7 day return policy, let alone a standard 30 day return policy that you can find at most of their competitors. Even looking online there are places that will SHIP A BED TO YOUR HOUSE that offer refunds or exchanges, even to the point of paying people to come pick up your bed if you decide it's not for you. Buyer beware, there's a reason you'll never see more than a handful of people in here at a time, there are so many better options for buying a bed in town that there's no reason to spend hundreds of dollars more just for the "luxury" of being able to upgrade your bed down the line, you spend a premium just so they can hook your business for years to come, don't fall for the bait. Really wanted to like the bed we purchased. Couldn't get comfortable on it and the only answer the store ever has is to adjust it - which on the surface seems awesome, except it comes with a price tag of several hundred dollars for "upgrading the foam" each time. All in all I'm in for about $4500 and just threw it in storage because I can't swallow putting it on the curb just yet. Bought one out of a box from Costco yesterday and got as good or better rest, only downside is less support on the sides which isn't optimal for sitting on, but I lay when I sleep. On top of that, Costco will return it if we hate it. I personally regret buying my bed there. read more

Nice to see that the bad reviews were removed? I thought that was not allowed? I am so unhappy with my purchase. Said to be there #1 seller bed but after just 6 months it sure was not the same bed. When I went in the tell them how it is so uncomfortable they told me I can bring it in and have it looked at but it was highly unlikley that anything was wrong with it.... what? I guess the customer is not always right. I feel like i am sleeping in a hammock from the bed sinking in the middle. Im sorry but a good bed should not do that. You can visibly see where we sleep. Of course they said we can come get it for a fee and if it is not comfortable we can change it. Ya, for more $$. No thanks. the only reason they are getting 1 star is because the customer service when the guys came with the bed was great. otherwise they would get a big fat zero. just received our bed $5000. on wednesday afternoon, the mattress is not even close to the one we laid on at the store, i think an air mattress would be better,the adjustable frame is slow and the massaging part doesn't work properly. it shakes my whole house and is so loud you need ear plugs to use. it is like it is on its lasts legs-almost like they gave us a very used one instead of brand new. we havent been able to contact them to see if we can get our money back will update if we can. read more

This company will tell you all these great things, give you all the wonderful discounts on your bed plus these sweet upgrades all for the low low price of 1800.00 When it comes to getting your beds they always seem to misplaced you on the delivery schedule. You learn quickly their bed is not better. If you call for a question or concern they then yell at you and tell you what a shitty customer you are. Beds by Design is amazing! The staff is very friendly and helpfull. They helped me and my wife pick out the perfect type of bed that fit both our needs. And recomended a pad that helps regulate your temperature since I get hot at night and she gets cold, it works great. Also when my wife was pregnant they came out and adjusted the bed so that my wife would be more comfterable in her third trimester. I recomend bbd to everyone, and will be getting another bed from them for my daughter when old enough, and guest room. Thanks Guys! read more

We decided to upgrade our bed from a queen to a king and so we just went in to BBD to browse what they had to offer. I am so glad we did. I have had the BEST nights of sleep probably since ever. It costs a bit more than going to a furniture store and buying a Sealy or Serta, but the quality is so much higher. How can you put a price on a great night's sleep? This was well worth every penny. Financing is easy. We put $800 as our down payment, then they calculated the monthly payments to be right around $100 for less than 2 years. (Like I said, it does cost more, but we also bought the cooling mattress pad) The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. They have a 15 year warranty on their mattresses and set up and delivery is free, at least in town, I'm not sure about out of town. My husband has stopped snoring and I have not had any back or hip pain since we got this bed. I cannot recommend them enough. read more
