I try to support local businesses, and I hadn't heard of this one before, yet it popped up in a search and looked promising at a time when I thought I would try somewhere new, given the staff turnover at Laser Center of Marin. When I arrived, I was surprised to be the only client there. The owner mentioned she was a registered nurse, but there was no doctor on site, and she had to get approval via a video conference before proceeding. That already felt a bit unorthodox and uncomfortable. The actual procedure was, unfortunately, where things really went sideways. I'm someone who's been getting Botox or Dysport regularly for about 30 years--usually 1-3 times a year. In all that time, I've had one tiny bruise, at most the size smaller than a thumbtack, on my forehead after a treatment. After this treatment, I left with two noticeable bruises on my forehead--one of which ballooned into something nearly 20x larger than anything I'd ever experienced and was about half to one inch long. I contacted the clinic as soon as I got home. They recommended taking ingestible arnica, which I did diligently, several times a day, along with icing the area. The next morning, the bruising and swelling was worse. I've also asked twice for copies of the digital documents I signed as a new client, and despite giving them alternate email addresses, I've yet to receive anything. That lack of follow-through, combined with the strange approval process and unexpected physical trauma, left me deeply uncomfortable and has me concerned the person who administered the treatment was not certified or qualified to do so. I truly wish this had been a better experience. But based on what I encountered, I wouldn't return, and I can't in good faith recommend this business. I also believe regulatory oversight may be warranted--something about this setup didn't feel right, and I should never have ended up with this kind of damage to my face with an experienced practitioner.

When clearly told by the staffer that Dr. Jamali does, in fact , perform that particular filler in the immediate mouth region, I actually questioned her (since I know that doctors differ in this regard, and requested her to directly ask Dr. Jamali to confirm that she does that type on injection. The staffer exited to ask Dr. Jamali, and I was assured that she definitely does. On that basis I went for the appointment, was quickly ushered into a treatment room and told to pay a $100 consultation fee (which I did pay, since I had been assured of the treatment). Dr. Jamali then entered the room and forcefully stated "Oh no -- I NEVER do injections with this filler in the mouth region" - so, precisely the opposite! of my assurance. Dr. Jamali then proceeded to 'explain to me' that I needed a different procedure, which happened to be far more expensive. Clearly, this FALSE 'reassurance' was intended to simply LURE me into the office. A truly UNFAIR business practice, if not directly DISHONEST.

Now medical doctors having to get involved due to eye issues this has caused. Serious concerns with safe technique here and accountability. They've essentially deformed my face and I feel like I cannot be in public and meeting with clients. It looks absolutely awful. I paid $1200 for this. An update that they've almost made an apology, but it is a "sorry but we're just going to keep gaslighting you".

I called them, I was in their "clinic" 4 separate times - they visually say this wound. Their response was non- emergent. I am now day 3 in hospital. Day 3 of continuous antibiotics- due to this unsafe - in surgery practices. Lift and 100 cc does not look like this and now with the fluid gone they are sagging and implants infected. They will be removed in a few hours and I will have to start again with my desired lift in a year after reconstruction and recovery. Again no apology's, no email, no calls.
