The purpose of the center is all about ensuring her legacy so that it remains a positive impact to the community. Open 6 days a week, the center offers a number of multi-purpose spaces from meetings to events and community gatherings. There are areas for study and also dedicated facilities for sports and recreational activities, which include a basketball court, a gymnasium, and an indoor playing field. They also host a number of local programs aimed at educational and cultural awareness, fitness and wellness, youth and family activities, as well as community meetings and events to oster civic engagement and cultural exchange. I've attended various meetings and also participated in various community events that have taken place in this very building. I have always appreciated that the staff working here is welcoming to all and truly embody all things community.

He still has a lot of growing to do as being on the spectrum has its moments but he is very smart and willingness to learn. They are patient with him and understanding when it comes to being neurodivergent. The care they give to all their students is outstanding. I'm a mother who calls a lot checking in how his day is going and they always take the time out to assure me he is doing good or it's just one of his days. All the kids love when I come in the room for pick up,they tell me all their stories and how he did the day as well. I'm just glad to have a place I know he's safe at. He lets me know he still wants to be there.

OMG! I cannot tell you how happy I am that I found this location. Prior to attending Kindercare Spring Branch we had our baby at another daycare that had decent reviews, but it wasn't AT ALL what we thought (i'll keep this positive and leave them out of this). Anyways, we were in the market to find a new daycare and came across this location. (I have always loved Kindercare and even attended as a child and have had many family members who worked for the company. All in all, a great place for kind) Since my son has been attending this location we have immediately seen the difference in his social skills, cognition ability and overall attitude, as well as the level of care he is receiving. The director, Ms. Crystal is GREAT. Not only is she super responsive, but she also made our family feel comfortable immediately. I am able to get an almost immediate responses whenever I message with a question and she even follows up via phone call. Our family also loves Ms. Ashley, the assistant director. She is super friendly and has great rapport with both kiddos and parents.I literally feel so comfortable knowing my son is under their management. One thing that I really like about this location is how clean it is, especially during Covid. At our last daycare, my son was constantly sick and would often have dry snot on his face at pick up. This has NEVER HAPPENED at KinderCare Spring Branch. In fact, every time we pick him up hes clean, and smells as good (if not better) than when he arrived. Being a new mom I was worried about leaving my baby in a new spot, especially since you are not able to enter due to Covid restrictions. This anxiety has been put at ease thanks to the periodically snap shots of my sons day. I can see the enriched activities he is participating in and honestly, I can see a major improvement in his cognition due to some of these activities. It was so important for me to find a daycare that kept my baby clean and healthy, but also helped develop him mentally. He has grown substantially in his abilities since being there. My son has been attending Spring Branch Kindercare since he's been about 6 months old and he's…read morecurrently 2.5 years old. Prior to daycare we had a nanny but she wasn't what we thought she was, but that's a different story. Anyways we were in a pinch and needed to find a daycare. In a span of one week I toured 4 different daycares. We chose Kindercare because 1. Ms. Crystal is super responsive and during the tour she answered the list of questions we had clearly, 2. Ms. Lorena had been the main teacher in the infant room for a long time (and she's still there and she really was wonderful with our son while he was in the infant room). 3. I really liked how the babies were getting tummy time and they don't use bouncers/rockers or those sit to stand circular play things. The current assistant director, Ms. Ashley is wonderful and I think she's helped improve this Kindercare location. My son was lucky enough to have her as his teacher in the toddler room before she became to assistant director. In the room my son is now in, there has been one teacher (Ms Shay) that's been in that room since he's started and the second teacher/ helper in that room has changed about 2 or 3 times. I think Ms. Shay has been super helpful with my son's potty training. They really try to adhere to what the parent wants, which made it easier to be more consistent with how the potty training is going at home. One of the or major reasons why we like Kindercare is that they will give your child the food you pack him ( if you choose to do that). In the beginning I would pack all of my son's solid foods because I wanted to make sure he was used to the food I cooked and that I could make sure he got plenty of nutrients as we did not want him to start eating meat too early or get too used to the food offered at the daycare. I won't say it's perfect, nothing ever is, but I honestly don't think we could have made a better choice in the grand scheme of things*. And with the covid pandemic, they've stayed open and have taken the proper precautions to keep the teachers and children safe. It's not as easy to talk to the teachers anymore since I don't want to hold them up at pick up, but I have emailed and they are able to get back to me the within 24hrs about my questions about how my son was doing. If there's one negative I think it is the child to teacher ratio. They go with the state limit, so needless to say I think they could use more teachers. *Side story - there was one point where we were seriously upset and wanted to change daycares because of my son getting bit and we weren't sure if the biting would stop. But after talking with Ms. Crystal about the situation, she laid out the plan to deal with it and the biting stopped. Granted we had to get to step 3 of the plan (remove the bitter from the class). But it showed me that they were really willing to fix the issue and not ignore or brush it under the rug.

The teachers care about the kids, they teach them just like they would in public pre-k, the coolest giant backyard with awesome stuff for the kiddos and the inside has been completely remodeled. The owner, Mr. Robert, is the most amazing person you will ever meet. He's a great role model, my kids love him and he even helped me with my teenager when he was going through pre-teen stuff a couple of years ago. I can keep going on about how great this place is. I don't have anything negative to say as any small issues that may have occurred (kid's jackets ended up in another kid's backpack or simple things like that) were fixed immediately. They keep my kids and the other kids safe so I feel blessed for that. My kid's last experience at their first daycare when they were just babies was heartbreaking. My son who was one hears old at the time was being bitten by numerous kids every day. Nothing was being done to correct this so I had to involve the director. Things were fixed after she stepped in but all of the teachers started being rude to me, called me a SNITCH (for protecting my child's health and safety, I don't think so!), strayed treating my kids differently and my kids started crying every day I would drop them off. I had to take them out and was nervous about my kids starting at a new daycare because of our bad experience. Discovery was aware of what happened and they helped ease all of our worries. Years later my kids beg me to go here all the time!

My wife was needing surgery for her cancer and we were there waiting for that. Unfortunately the surgery got canceled and we had to go back home. Also it's very very unfortunate that so many people are needing this type of environment and support for the situations they're in and the availability to get back into the Ballard House after the hospital rescheduled her surgery was mute. No vacancies. It's so sad that SO many people are hurting and need this service. Unfortunately I'm recommending The Ballard House for anyone who needs it because it's a wonderful place to stay. I say unfortunately because I'm in need of a place to stay for the next two weeks and I'm having to look elsewhere than the Ballard House to stay. Love this place and the Volunteers are a God sent.
