My twins who are 3 years old are the preschool classroom and have been attending here since February 2023. I had move to spring branch in the end of 2022 and had them in a different Kindercare but have felt WAY more comfortable with having them enroll in this daycare. They love their teachers Ms. Brianna, and the pre k teacher Mr. Brandon and Ms. Alexis Everyone from the directors Karla and Lisette to the teachers are very nice and helpful when any concerns arise. They're wonderful and the atmosphere in this daycare is complete different form any other Kindercare I've had my twins in. The only downside is the parking as it gets packed quickly and the parking entrance sucks since the daycare center is in the corner of Bunker hill/Gaylord Dr and people drive super fast or don't give the right away to people exiting the daycare. I do wish this was different but understand that it is out of the daycare control. I have thought of moving area but ultimately decide against it because of how great this daycare is and how comfortable my boys are! I'd hate to start over to find such a great place to have my kids are who give me peace of mind! I have yet to drop off my kids crying which happened daily at the other Kindercare-- which means they didn't like it! Happy Kids = Happy mama! read more

My child has been enrolled at this daycare for about a year now, and we were very happy with them until our favorite teacher-- Ms. Jessica-- moved to another school. Since then, our child has come home with feces still in her creases almost weekly. The entire center smells like urine and last week (the final straw) our child came home with at least 30 ant bites on each foot. She even had them all over her arms and back and face. When the center had called us that day, they said that she had "fallen into an ant pile--- but not to worry because they were able to get them off." They made it seem like I shouldn't be concerned, so My husband and I did not come immediately to pick her up. Clearly they were lying, because there would have been no way she could have gotten so many ant bites unless the teachers were not paying attention to her AT ALL. This center fails to tell you when your child is running out of diapers or wipes, you have to wait until the child comes home in another's diaper. Once, the teacher wrote a note in sharpie on our child's diaper to let us know she was out. All we need is is a notice the day before and we will remember to bring more wipes or diapers. The center director, Ashlynn Snelling, is very attentive and sweet, but it's the lazy and inattentive teachers I have a problem with. We will be moving our child to a center that has better teachers. After Ms. Jessica left, the care that the kids get is definitely definitely lacking (to say things kindly). read more

The director Ashlynn and the assistant director Debra are compulsive liars , they often tell me my child is doing great but they just like to hide the truth about situations . My kids were bit multiple times and they did nothing about it . I did not receive an incident report or a clear understanding on what happened. Often times in the morning , the infant and the class next to it which I believe is the toddlers class room always have more than 19 plus kids alone with just one teacher . How could one teacher possible watch some many kids by their self. I also feel that Ashlynn the director tells me what I wanna hear and not the truth . I don't feel safe or trust the directors here ! My daughter is always happy to see her Day Care Team when I drop her off and is happy when I pick her up. The staff is very friendly and I love that I can drop in anytime to see my daughter. They also do cute arts and crafts and take adorable pictures for you to take home. The place is always clean and the staff seems very tenured. Overall a great place! read more

My daughter has been here since she was 3 months old. She just turn 2 and we have been very pleased with this facility. The director and staff are always friendly to us and my child. The facility has always been clean and it even smells clean. What I love about it is that my daughter looks forward to going here each day. She loves all of her teachers and they are amazing with her. I also attribute much of her strong social skills, motor skills, and intelligence to her teachers. It makes going to work so much easier knowing that she's happy,well cared for, and always learning. My daughter attended this daycare since she was only 10 weeks old, and now she's 11 months old. Her teachers Mrs. Simon and Mrs. Fainah are amazing. They definitely nurture her and treat her well. They are nice and respectful of the parents as well. We can tell that she learns a lot at school and we feel SAFE leaving her there. We were reccommended here by a co-worker and it was the best thing that could have happened for our daughter (was enrolled while she was 2-4) while we were Houston. First of all, Ashlynn, the director us one of the sweetest most genuine people you'll ever meet. She is very kind and doesn't hound/embarrass you if you forget a payment (whoopsies!), just gives you a gentle reminder. And I strongly disagree with other reviews that the teachers are disconnected.. every teacher my daughter had was very involved and caring and I felt like there was great communication between the staff. Yes, there were bullies and small injuries from kids occasionally, but I was always informed immediately (whether my child was the bully or the receiver!) and I felt that it was dealt with accordingly. Especially at this age, kids will let you know if they don't like something or someone. She LOVED going here every day. She talked fondly of each of her teachers (Ms. Tamm, Ms. Emmy, and Ms. Heather are amazing!), and was always excited to see them. They do fun activities and dress up days which was so cute!! Moving to Houston from a small town, one reason we chose this care center was because it's located in a nice area, it has a high privacy fence all around it, and you need a pass code to get in. It was cleaned regularly (I know because no matter what time of day I was there, it seemed like some part of the staff was cleaning!) Aside from the occasional diaper smell (it is a daycare...) the only time it would ever smell was if water got in after it flooded (Houston problems!), and it wouldn't last long at all. Bunker Hill KinderCare (Center Number 000063) Negligence On April 26th, 2018 I took my daughter to Bunker Hill KinderCare (Center Number 000063) It was a direct blow to our family when at 5:30 pm she was picked up and her mother noticed her two front teeth chipped, busted lip, and a hit on her chin. As parents, we inquired to what had happened and the Center Director, Ashlynn Snelling, was clueless about what had happened to our daughter. She asked her staff after we filled a report if our daughter had fallen, cried out loud, screamed, or interacted with other kids that would have caused this, and no one saw when the accident happened nor, did they see the blood on her lips. Three incident reports were filled stating the names of the four people that interacted with our daughter that day: Kim, Tam, Yesenia & Amber. To say that there was Child Care Center negligence is an understatement. Bunker Hill KinderCare (Center Number 000063) made no effort in caring for our daughter when she fell nor, did they communicate to us when it happened. No one could tell us what had happened to our daughter. We were informed that no closed-circuit cameras nor parent cameras are present in their facility. Interestingly enough, I had received pictures of her first three days but received nothing from the facility today. I asked to see any pictures taken today of my daughter to correlate the time that the incident happened but was informed that they had not been downloaded. We are fully aware that accidents occur in any facility but to not inform or hide this information from the parents is unprofessional, inconsiderate, and should be concerning to any parent that wishes to enroll their child at this location. Effective immediately we will be removing our daughter from this location for her safety and care. read more

I don't feel like the teachers pay much attention to what is going on with the toddlers. My son often times comes home with bite marks, bruises etc and no one knows anything that happened. They do not have any cameras set up to log on and see how your child is doing. They never tell you when they are getting low on diapers or wipes... The only way I know is if my son comes home with someone else's diaper on. That leads me to speculate how well they keep track of the amount of diapers/wipes that were being lent out. Miss Jessica however is absolutely amazing. I feel she looks after my son as if he were her own. She made it much easier for me as a new mom to feel confident in leaving my son there. They also don't do "time out" for children who are misbehaving which is frustrating when your kid keeps coming home with incident reports all by the same kid (bully). Love this place. The teachers seem to really care about the kids. They also work with the parents to help little ones hit major milestones such as potty training, counting to 10, etc. Occasionally, the teacher working 5:30-6:30 pm time frame, doesn't seem to interested in talking to the parents, but after watching the mayhem that she is managing, I understand she has more important things to worry about. read more

Trying to find affordable and decent childcare is tough. Especially for parents with young children. I had the experience of using this facility for two weeks and I removed my children after only two weeks. The smell of dirty diapers fills the halls, children are left with dirty noses, food stains on clothing, and the staff is over worked. There was one staff member yelling at the children and seemed overwhelmed. The kitchen area was disgusting and the restrooms are just as worst. Based on the location of the center, one would think the service is outstanding. Most child care centers are there to make money. They do not care about the health and safety of these children. The turn over rates are high and staff members are not paid enough. Therefore, you will always end up with horrible service if the employees do not feel appreciated. Also, the director was not helpful, and basically had an excuse for every issue. If possible, avoid childcare, if not , research. Review the Texas licensing website, and make to to tour the facility very well.. Look for cleanliness, happy employees and look at the behavior of the children. Many of these centers present themselves as great centers do not buy into their lies. Do not let the smiles fool you, there are many things hidden from parents. read more

But the staff here has been so welcoming and helpful with our transition. Our daughter ADORES her teacher (Ms. Yessenia) and all of the other teachers as well. Stay away from this place! I had nothing but horrible experiences here. This daycare is dirty, overcrowded, babies are left to cry and cry in the cribs. The directors flash these fake smiles at you as you walk through the place to give the appearance of a fun happy daycare. That couldn't be further from the truth. Watch the faces of the people actually in charge of watching your children. Their faces tell the real story. No smiles. No enthusiasm. Do they keep the kids alive there? Yes, so far. But beyond that, the environment is stale, lifeless. No color on the walls. Nothing even remotely stimulating. Even "song time" is the same exact tune played over and over again on a VERY short loop. It is a scratched CD that skips a lot, but they continue to play it anyway without even noticing. Everywhere I looked I saw things happening that I would never let happen in my home. I got my kid away from there, but I feel so bad for the kids left behind. There ARE better CHEAPER daycares out there. You don't have to settle! read more
