We go here about once a week and it is hit or miss. My pup loves it when other dogs are there but sometimes there is no one there at all. Good places for the humans to sit and a ton of space for the pups. Easy to park and poop bags are available. read more

Our dog loves coming here. There's usually a few dogs here any time we've gone. The owners are nice and watch their dogs. Nice large space for dogs to run around and play. Also appreciate the space and chairs for us to sit. Nice shade in the park as well. read more

I love this dog park. It always has at least 2-3 dogs for my dog to play with, there is a covered area for shade and they have water available for the dogs. There is also plenty of parking. The dogs have a very large fenced area to romp around in and there is a "double gate" entrance in case your dog is an escape artist ;-) read more

I don't know why the newest review before mine is over two years old. We moved here about two years ago and I go to this park about once per month with my medium size dog. Because she's a medium she's usually the largest dog in the small dog park and the Smallest in the large dog park (they have both). She personally is shy around big groups of dogs, but if there's one or two, she can play and enjoys running Zumiez and circles. The dog park itself is very nice with a shaded structure, watering areas and plenty of poop bags. The only downside is a ditch in the center which could get muddy if it ever had water in it, but it hasn't in the past two years I've been there. There are some regulars who come almost every day when work ends and it's usually a good social crowd, but I find that some people ignore their dogs and just sit and chat. It has a couple of good play structures and there are always extra balls and toys lying around. It can be a bit dusty and muddy, but with all the other park amenities, it's a great place to spend a few hours. Highly recommend and one of the best features of bee cave. read more

Very nice park. Really big! Nice jogging trails, basketball court, restrooms on-site, benches. Dog park is across the street. You can either enter that way or follow the paved path under the bridge to the dog area. Dog park is a really nice size with a "pond" in the center that is currently a muddy mess. ??? Self-filling water bowls on-site. Nice pavilion with bench. Very easy to get to. RIGHT off 620. Overall, I like this park a tad better than Lakeway, but I don't really see other dogs here. :( Maybe more in the spring? So, pros and cons. read more

This dog park is pretty good. Lots of space for even 20 dogs and their people. There's a creek that is usually dry, but if it's rained recently plan ahead for a muddy pup. There's a footpath around the entirety of the park. Poo pickup is pretty consistent around the path and in areas without ground foliage. There is a shaded awning with benches, a watering and hose station, and a shady area with trees along the footpath, so lots of protection from the sun. There's a small dog park too, which is pretty much all in the shade. Most dogs and owners I've encountered have been friendly, and in the few instances of fights the owners have been very responsive. There was one instance of a serial humper (tan poodle or labradoodle) with an owner who was pretty indifferent, but I've only seen them there the one time. read more

UPDATE! New ordinances at the dog park as of 8/15/18. Prohibitions under the new ordinance: Failure to maintain supervision over a dog; Leaving a dog unattended; Failure to properly dispose of a dog's waste in an appropriate waste disposal container; Bringing more than two dogs into the park at any one time; Eating in the dog park; Bringing a female dog that is in season to the dog park; Failure to leash dogs in designated areas; Bringing unruly or rough-playing dogs to the dog park; Failure to maintain supervision over children; Failure to ask permission before petting another person's dog; Allowing a large dog into a small dog area or vice versa; Allowing a dog and/or person into the park that has been prohibited from use of the park. Owners in violation of the stated rules may now be subject to a maximum fine of $500. It's hard to believe that adult humans require such common sense procedures explained to them, but then again, we also have to be warned not to use electrical appliances in the bathtub. And so, given that the Central Park at Bee Cave is a fantastic fenced in acre of fun, I'm going back to my 5-star review with high hopes that people will behave responsibly. read more

Just discovered this dog park two weeks ago and have been going there every other day so far. My 7-month old Aussie loves it there! There's always a good number of dogs there. The people are friendly there too. The fenced area is such a nice size! Highly recommended! read more

The dog park has moved from the water retention pond on the east side of the park to a slope on the far west side of the park that seems to be plagued by the remnants of a spring that keeps a healthy swath of fresh mud for your dog's enjoyment. I guess I should be happy it's not a fetid pond like the prior location. But let's look on the bright side, there are now two zones, one for little dogs and one for everyone else. I thought that was very considerate. And the big area is very large. If it wasn't for the mud river, it'd be a pretty excellent spot. They've even put up a shade sail that keeps the concrete sitting area fairly cool. Now if folks would just learn what the poop bags are for and if the grass would take off so they could pick up the erosion material so it's pleasant to walk around, this might be a dog park worth visiting more. They still get four stars because it's the only dog park on our side of the county that I've found. read more

The new park location is awesome. Both big dog and little dog parks allow for fun safe play. Lots of donated tennis balls and other toys here, shade, benches and hills. Come play and have a good time with your four legged friend!! read more

After a long day driving around with our large dog in te back seat it was a relief to find this dog park. There were about 8 other dogs there being supervised by their owners. The interior creek was dry so no mud! Lots of space for dogs to run and fetch. Water spigot, water bowls, and concrete platform to hydrate your pups. Our dog seemed relieved to stretch her legs without a leash. read more

The off leash park sucks. It is just a fenced in retention pond and very muddy. My 2 dogs got bored with it quickly because it's so small and no room to run. better to walk them on leash across the street at Central park. Oh, and don't follow the directions on Google maps. It is not on 71 near Spanish oaks gated community, it is off 620 and bee cave parkway. read more

We love the new dog park!! There is a lot of space for the dogs to run around, tennis balls to play with, and great friends! There's a smaller fenced off area for smaller dogs right next the larger park. Bring a towel if it recently rained though, there's a stream that runs through it, and dogs love to get muddy! read more

My dog loves this dog park! She gets to run as fast as she can in a game of chase with her best friends Boogs and Scrubbbie and make lots of new friends. I love it because of all the friendly dogs and humans and it is fully fenced so I can take my foster dogs there and not worry about them running off and it has grass unlike Norwood and West Austin that are mostly dirt/mud. When I first tried to visit this dog park this past summer it was closed until further notice for re-sodding and the city was having some issue with 2 separate contractors so it took longer than expected but it was worth the wait so that I do not have to hose my dog down before getting in the car like I have to a West Austin Dog Park. This park features the double gates so you don't have to worry about dogs getting out as dogs enter and exit, there is a water fountain for dogs and a covered pavilion and benches for the humans and of course the requisite dogie poop mitts for clean up. read more

Really beautiful, well built dog park with separate fenced in area for large and for small dogs. Unfortunately, people have not done their part to keep this area clean despite the available pickup bags and garbage can. There are dog poops all over the ground. My fiance and I watched a lady ignore the fact that her dog had just left a pile on the ground. Really sad to see such a beautiful facility not being taken care of as it should. We most likely will not go back. read more

Very quiet and clean park. The wildlife is a little overgrown in certain areas, but it's a great place to go for a walk. It also has a few playgrounds if you have kiddos. Overall a very nice park! read more

I am new to the area and wasn't impressed at all. The park appeared to have a pond that was, at one time, too large for its fences. The pond is now mostly soggy mud, which my dogs liked. The grass had stickers. The get to the park, you either have to walk across a busy street or walk through a creepy tunnel under the street. An additional star for the covered seating area. read more

It's actually located at Central Park. It has a little pond, shaded bench/gazebo area, and poop bags. Not bad, but probably no other dogs will be there :( read more

Lovely park. And the dog park is probably perfect for some dogs. But I felt like mine could have easily jumped the fence there. It looked to be about maybe 4 feet. Also the gate coming in didn't seem to latch super well. I also noticed that the large and small dog areas were not clearly labeled, which I could imagine might cause difficulties sometime. Still we had a nice time. And the larger park on the whole is a great place to walk your dog around. read more

Pros: nice large space completely fenced in; covered shade area with benches Cons: often closed when you go there because of "maintenance"; water retention area is often muddy and gross with water in it that doesn't look clean; dogs want to run and play in the water which would be fine if it was clean water, but it is not; not all owners watch their dogs so I had one of mine attacked by a bigger dog so now my dog is terrified to go there; no parking directly right there, you must walk across a busy road to get to the dog park area or walk the long way around under a tunnel that can feel kind of weird When we first got our dogs I was so excited about taking them here, but they need to improve the water and mud problem. There is a group trying to work with the city to move the dog area to the far end of Central Park, but funds have to be raised first. It is also disappointing to load your dogs up and go there only to find a little sign that says "temporarily closed" yet I do understand why they have to close it sometimes. read more

I don't recommend this "dog park". It's basically an overgrown area with a drainage ditch/pond full of stagnate muddy water. It is fenced however probably not the safest. Our dogs were full of grass burrs, stinky water and we were concerned about snakes. Very disappointing. read more

I drove by today to check it out before bringing my dog. As everyone else said, there were absolutely no dogs, the mushy "pond" pit in the middle is exactly as everyone described, and having no safe parking is a deal braked for me. I won't be taking my dog there. read more
