Okay, I've found another reason to chill in Belton. A former home located directly across I35 from the EXPO center has been repurposed to now house a vineyard and cozy tasting room. For $15 you can taste 5 wines while enjoying informed conversation about various varietals and the world's regional specialities. There is no wifi, but they have cheese! So it's a great trade off.

The wine tasting was great 5 samples for $15. The lady who poured the wine was super helpful and very friendly. They had a nice room in the back that was air conditioned and some table games. Got to walk the area where the grapes grew. Overall a very nice place to hang out with friends and have a nice glass of wine.

Great wine and good atmosphere. Was a little quiet when we went, but their Instagram shows they do lots of events. Will definitely be back!

This place is an absolute must visit for any Texas wine lover!…read more Smaller vineyard sure but what they have is picturesque and gorgeous. Seating inside the 3600 square foot tasting room and bar area or out back along the vineyard seating and covered patio space. Take your pick and enjoy a wine flight or a glass. Wine apple cider, sangria, blush wine, frozen wine, dessert wine, and many other fantastic wines to please every palate. The Swag Cab and Roussanne really wow'd me most I gotta say. But everything I tasted was very good. The wine cider also really surprised me as to how good that was without being too sweet as many beer ciders are. The staff here are amazing. They treat you like best friends even on the first visit. So welcoming and kind, open and hospitable. It's cool to see how people come in here and just relax, chill out, sit at tables with charcuterie plates and bottles of wine to simply take a load off a socialize. It's the epitome of what a chill, easy going weekend should look like (and taste like). For being in business for not quite 3 years yet, these guys have their act together with great service, a great venue space and amazing wine across the board. Ya just gotta go here and see it yourself.

The menus didn't include any tasting notes other than dry or sweet, and our server didn't really know much about the wine. We tried a build your own flight and a mocktail though. Nice place to grab a glass of wine and some charcuterie after a hike. The chilled white wine blend was our favorite, however, the reds (made from their grapes) we tried missed the mark. Not sure we'd come back for the wine.

We stopped in here on the way back to Austin from mother neff state park and we're so glad we did!…read moreWe did the wine tasting which was an excellent value! They were very knowledgeable about the tasting notes and helping us choose the right wines. They had a large selection of wine for purchase (a few weren't on the tasting menu, so they really had a lot of options for bottles!). We would definitely come back with family and friends!

The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, the wine selection is thoughtfully put together, and the staff? Absolutely top-notch. Hannah made the entire experience unforgettable. She's incredibly knowledgeable, so kind, and brings such a joyful energy that it instantly puts you at ease. Her passion for wine (and cheese!) is so genuine, and she made the tasting both fun and educational--without ever feeling stuffy or scripted. Every wine and cheese pairing came with a little story or insight, and it completely changed how we experienced each sip. We've done wine tastings before, but this one felt totally different--in the best way. It was personal, engaging, and you could really feel the love behind every detail. We made the trip up from Austin and honestly? We're already planning our next visit. This time, we're bringing more friends so they can see what all the hype is about. Huge thank you to Hannah for making our day so special--we left smiling and can't wait to come back. If you're anywhere near Salado (or even if you're not), this spot is a must. Highly, highly recommend!

As far as festivals go, this is definitely a good one!! I'd come back again…read more I enjoyed the outside atmosphere and they had tons of food and wine vendors. I did taste a lot of good food and some good wine - I'm not a huge sweet wine drinker and most of the wines that were there to sample were on the "too sweet" side for me. The food was really tasty though! I enjoyed the little samples mixed in with the wine. My favorite sample was the first vendor I tasted (I wish I remembered the name of the place) but they had brought chicken, pork, and ribs. I tried them all and the ribs were definitely the best. They had the 1 Cav jazz band out there playing. They were good and it absolutely went with the feel of the festival. The biggest issue I had with this is that they only gave you 5 tasting tickets for the wine... that's 1 ticket per 1oz pour on top of a $25 entrance fee. The wine vendors and the event host(s) I don't think ironed out exactly what they were going to do. Many vendors told me that I could buy more tasting tickets but this was not true. You could buy samples directly from the vendors. I think that was a bit confusing for both the guests and the vendors. They advertised a BBQ cookoff however, I didn't see one there. I'm sure they had one but I didn't see anyone cooking. Honestly, it wasn't a well planned out festival. I think perhaps next year they'll do better with some more planning, a better wine tasting plan, and some more signs or an MC or something to tell people where to go for certain events.
