Great place to stop on your way from Austin to Waco. Beautiful little spot. Rachel was awesome. She took the time to give us a tour of the property including a look into the wine vault! So cool! We're from the DFW area, and my husband stopped by the winery while on a trip and bought me two bottles of their recommended wines. When I uncorked the first one, I was hit with a strong smell of vinegar, and as I poured it, I noticed it was brown instead of red. Needless to say, it tasted awful. I opened the second one, and while not as bad, the color was off, and it was just as undrinkable. I sent them a message on FB and got a response right away with an apology and a promise to ship me two replacement bottles. That was a little over a month ago. I haven't received a bottle or a refund, nor have they answered any of my follow-up messages. I'm fairly certain they're ignoring me. I love supporting small businesses and wish I could support this one, but I'm very disappointed in their customer service. Especially since I've read reviews of how great their service is! If they did not intend to send me a replacement or offer me a refund, I wish they would have told me upfront. That's $120 down the drain, literally. read more

My favorite is their Sangiovese but they have great wines for all tastes. The tasting room is cozy and cute but the people! The customers are primarily from the area and are warm and welcoming. We visited Kissing Tree on our whim tour of Texas wine country and have to say that we were very impressed by the owner's kindness and hospitality. Crystal was very nice and personable at Kissing Tree Vineyards. When we walked in it was a little awkward, but that changed quickly. Crystal was hard to understand at first and I felt like she was nervous, but once the wine tasting began she was more comfortable. She enjoyed telling the back story about the name of the vineyard and her history in the winemaking industry. I felt like she was very knowledgeable about the wine and processes. OMG, where to start? The young girl who did our tasting was super nice. She gets the star. The wines were awful. I wanted to dump them all but felt bad for her so my wife and I choked them down. They clearly don't get a lot of traffic thru here so the wines tasted like they had been opened for two weeks. Bad, skunky, undrinkable. Not even fit for cooking with. It was very convenient to get to right off the highway and I noticed a billboard sign about 10-15 miles down the road about it, so that was good advertising. I wish they had more info about their wine available and some snack options in the seating area. The wine I wanted to get a bottle of was not available, which was disappointing since they let you try it and they had bottles sitting on the counter that look unopened. Wow!!! This place was incredible!! I went with my friend to celebrate our birthdays. This was our first time at the Kissing Tree Vineyards. My friends have been bragging about it for awhile on Facebook, so we decided to try it. It was all they said and then some. I ordered the Tony special and my friend ordered the 5 layer lasagna. I love Italian food, and this was amazing!! We also ordered a bottle of The First Kiss Red wine. Amazing!! The taste were well balanced. Nothing was too over whelming. The pasta was just right. Would've liked more garlic bread, but was very full from the meal. The portions were very generous. Everyone working there was very nice. The entertainment was wonderful!! As a part of our day trip to Waco for my husband's birthday, a local suggested Kissing Tree as a great winery to visit before heading back to Houston. She was so right! Their location is right off the highway, but is easy to find which is always a plus. The venue is spacious and had very cute decor (my husband and I loved the ceilings)! They had a pretty wide variety of wines, so we each ended up doing a tasting which was $12 for four 1oz pours and a kissing tree wine glass. The reds were of course tasty, but the whites were impressive, especially since we are not white wine drinkers. The Chardonelle was delicious! A must-try! Jake, the fella who was assisting us, gave us suggestions and was super helpful and friendly. They also have live music and dinner (which I wish we could have taken advantage of but we had just eaten beforehand), and the menu looked delicious!So we will definitely be back when we visit Waco again! Was really hoping this place lived up to the hype. Atmosphere was really good and that's about the extent of it. Food presentation was no where near as advertised on social media and the flavors were bland at best. Now the wine, wow! Wine is over priced and unfortunately did not live up to the statement the staff told us "Best Wines In The State of Texas!" There off the mark on this claim, just a little. Service was more a self service type of establishment. Food was slow to come out, no one checked on you without grabbing someone as they passed by and no follow up. We've been wanting to come here for awhile now, and finally was able to make that happen today. The inside is very nice and creates a relaxed and romantic atmosphere. I had the house sangria which was on point and my boyfriend got the pomegranate mimosa which was also good. Like we usually do, I got something sweet and he got something savory. I got the smores waffle because ever since I saw it on Facebook, I had to get it. Let me tell you it didn't disappoint! He got the quiche, which was a huge proportion but also was amazing. I came once for the wine tasting & once again for their brunch. It's located in Eddy, which is a super small town off the highway, easily missed. It's in a remodeled building, actually connecting 2-3 different ones. The wine tasting was average, nothing really impressive. The guy pouring the wine was nice & knew a lot about the wines. After the wine tasting they give you the glass, yea another wine glass LoL.... it's a big tall glass, if that's any consolation. The one thing I wanted to taste was their cider, which they didn't have on the two occasions I came. That's a big let down. Other than that their wines were "ok", if you're in the area stop by. The Brunch..... You get to choose your meal, main dish $10: waffle, quiche, French toast or a tomato basil strata. After you decide that, you then add your drink: Sangria & Mimosa $7, coffee $2 or cappuccino $3. If I'd do it over, instead of the Sangria I'd get the original mimosa, vs grapefruit, since more is poured in your glass LoL.... The food was "ok" the French toast was huge but unfortunately the compote/syrup that's served on them makes the bread soggy rather fast. Plus, I've never had corn flakes on my French toast, I still don't know how I feel about that. So my second piece didn't get eaten. It's served with a piece of bacon, that's not mentioned on the menu. My friends got the waffle topped with a chicken florentine. (You get to choose the topping for your waffle). While I found this combination rather odd, they enjoyed it. Saying the waffle was crispy & made a perfect bedding for the chicken topping. Overall it wasn't a bad experience, just ok. I wouldn't discourage anyone from going. They did have one wine I'd "think" about buying but I'm holding out, one day they'll have cider. read more

I love that this little winery has so much history and is very quaint! It is the best little stop for any trip or a night out on the weekend. Their wines are all great. My husband prefers their dry wines while I prefer their sweet varieties. The staff is always friendly! We have added this place to our preferred spots and for our wine purchases. I went and visited the tasting room in Eddy right off of I35 and while the atmosphere was very nice and the decor was lovely, the wine was ok, not amazing. The person serving me the wine wasn't very knowledgeable on how to do a proper wine tasting in my honest opinion. He was all over the wine map and didn't go in order from dry to sweets and whites to reds or vice versa. He was very sociable but I just didn't feel that I got the overall experience of a tasting that would get at other tasting rooms/vineyards. However, I would love to visit the vineyard and the tasting room there. Perhaps that would be different. I'd go back though. read more
