What a neat park! There are a ton of options to appeal to a wide crowd: multiple playgrounds, a water spray area, multiple shelter houses with picnic tables, and a lot of athletic fields. There is also a nice stream area with a little waterfall near a nice trail system, good for a hike or going mountain biking. There's currently a big project underway, with signage indicating that it is a stream restoration. It looks like it will be pretty nice when it's done, and I'm curious to see how that turns out! There are a couple of different lots available for parking, though I imagine it fills up when there are a lot of games scheduled. read more

Sure, other reviewers will talk about their walking trails, soccer fields, basketball course, par cor thingys, but let's get to the important thing: it's a goldmine for Pokémon Go players. 5 gyms (yellow forever!), numerous pokestops, including 3 that are close enough to each other that you can have basically a triangle of lure models. Landen-Deerfield park host the community's major seasonal sports which include knothole, football, soccer, t-ball, and softball. On a given weekday you'll see these teams having practice, games or tournaments. The reason this park can host all this is due to size. The park itself boasts a 2 mile walking circle on the perimeter. And what you cannot see when looking at the rear of the park is another 3 miles of mountain bike trails hidden in the woods. Simpson creek flows to the Little Miami river in the gorge where visitors can snap pictures and walk crossing the creek in 2 separate spots. And included in the park's assets - a fishing lake, skateboard park, basketball court, 2 tennis courts, health and fitness trail, concession stand, amphitheater, 3 playgrounds, and numerous water fountains. The park offers seasonal events like Movie at the Park and numerous musical acts at the amphitheater. Kona Ice makes frequent stops here. Personally, I love the fact my kids will grow up playing team sports here. Fresh cut grass, fresh dirt, fresh painted white lines and enjoying post game amenities that park offers - mainly the playgrounds! I've driven by the Landen-Deerfield Park many times, but until I ventured in today, I had no idea that it was so big. It's actually 95 acres--45 wooded, 41 sports fields, and the lake, buildings, and roads making up the other nine, according to its webpage--so it's easy to find something to do. The 29-year-old park has eight baseball fields, seven soccer fields, a pair of tennis courts, and even a football field with goalposts, making it a hot spot for the active person or kids playing in organized soccer or baseball leagues. There are also many picnic tables under a few shelters (with grills), there is a 1.3 mile walking trail, a basketball court with adjustable hoops, a large playground area, restrooms and a concession stand (open when games are going on), and a scenic lake (and bridge) that is great for fishing. They even have a neat amphitheater, somewhat near the front entrance, which is sometimes the host of a community movie night. All these years I wondered why I saw so many people pulling out of this park during the fall and spring, but I had no idea how many baseball and soccer fields there were. I don't live too close to it, but I know that if I'm in the area and want to play some baseball or soccer, or just want a peaceful place to relax, I'll definitely consider stopping by this park. The park, located in Deerfield Township, is very close to Landen, but also Mason and Symmes Township and Loveland too. It's great if you live in Warren County, but even those living on the northeast end of the Hamilton County might want to check this place out. I've reviewed other parks and thought some were great for picnics, but now that I've been to the Landen Deerfield Park, I know that it is the best spot for large groups if people are wanting to break out the soccer balls and baseball/softball equipment. read more

Really nice park with a convenient location! My wife and I stopped by for the first time recently, and we will definitely be back soon. We only live a few minutes up the road and we drive by this park all the time. There are a ton of things to do here, both for adults and children. It doesn't look very big from the road, but this park is huge! It is really well maintained, and there are always families here taking part in various activities. Always nice to see a great park so close to home! I would definitely recommend checking this park out. read more

I walked miles and miles and miles at this park while training to walk the Half Flying Pig marathon last spring. I walked at all times of day both with my dog and alone. I always felt 100% safe and the walking paths were always clear. It's a much bigger park than it appears when you drive by on Montgomery Road. My only issue is that the bathrooms were sometimes open and sometimes not which meant I frequently had to use the woods as a bathroom. I normally wouldn't mind but it was a little unnerving to do that 50 feet from a crowded kids' ballgame. read more
