This is a cute shop to go in if you're in the market for anything anime. Also have some comic material such as Batman, Star Wars, and Thor. 4 stars only because was a bit frustrating that they wouldn't stamp my daughters reward card because they said it was from the Citrus mall location and they only stamp their location. Umm never had this issue between the Citrus and Premium Outlet locations since it's the same freakin store! But whatever. Took her stamp card from this location and hopefully the others will honor it. Also 4 stars because the girl at the register was just not friendly at all. Anyway, I was looking for Buffy the Vampire Slayer graphic novels. Specifically Season 8 which happens to be the canonical continuation of the TV series. It's no longer published by Dark Horse Comics, and I wasn't about to pay the crazy prices for the ones listed on Amazon. I couldn't find them at first, and had to ask. The store is full of all kinds of comic memorabilia including action figures and games. It was a little overwhelming until I asked specifically where it would be. I was led to a shelf full of Buffy. I found quite a few paperback volumes that I was missing, and they were reasonably priced. They are also having a 30 year anniversary sale this month. I was able to get 30% off the graphic novels. The staff was also friendly and helpful. It's just a great place to get those hard to find items.

I saw a bag I wanted and teasingly hid it from hubby so I could buy it (truly he knew and just giggled at my pirse obsession, gotta love him) and the employee there played along and had a great sense of humor. They are ALWAYS so friendly there and sweet. 'Twas a dangerous decision for our wallets! The store appeared to be in the process of shifting its collections, and that did not result in a bad customer experience. We were able to navigate (despite the shifting shelves) through sections that appealed to our diverse tastes. When we couldn't find a specific title, a member of the BaM crew worked their magic, manifested the book, and made our afternoon! There was an issue with a QRcode and coupon, the clerk was so helpful. Each of us got what our book-nerd hearts needed, and at a great cost. They never have what I need with regard to parts for common Traxxas and Arrma products, one will be in stock, but the others will not, even if it's a common item. The website is better (but don't try to order it for pickup, because they won't have it when you arrive). Shipping is like $3.99 for small orders though, and Amazon is cheaper if you have Prime because there is no shipping. The benefit to a brick-and-mortar store despite a slightly higher price is being able to get the item today. MyTobbies has the single largest selection in the Tampa area. The manager/owner is almost never there (unless it's the morning and only during the week so good luck with your warranty or a return if you buy something), and employees have to get verbal permission just to give you your money back. There used to be a bunch of great people there (Kevin, Jeremy, Tim, John, Wyatt) but they are all gone. Bottom line, there are better places. Here are a few I enjoy.
