I preach about this store constantly and share with whomever I can about how they take books in all conditions and upcycle them in any way they can. The sweet staff member at the front desk is always so kind and welcoming. Love this community! And you can't beat these book prices from $1-$3!!!! I bought some book pages to make a table runner for my book birthday and it was barely $5!

The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, happy to help and clearly passionate about books and getting them into the hands of readers. It seems small, but it has a good layout with a decent selection for all age groups I am shopping for. I grew up on the stores that had stages in the kid space, multiple lounge areas to "test out" the book, and no WiFi so students couldn't use the the tables in the cafe for hours at a time. With this set up, unfortunately, it isn't as inviting as they used to be. Never had a bad trip, but never wanted to take my time perusing the shelves. I also sold some books/media here and the process felt a bit unorganized, but I got a decent amount of cash for my items. Be prepared that it will take a few hours, even if you get there right at 10am, but you can leave and come back or stay and shop around. Definitely have everything a new collector might want but may not have the deep cuts a long-time collector (like me) would be looking to purchase. Prices - a tad high. But I expected that considering I'm in a metropolitan area. Their rent is probably super high, but I don't mind paying an extra $2-3 per book to keep an independent store open. Regarding those deep cuts: - I did find some authors that I think are often overlooked, including Richard K. Morgan, Chuck Tingle, and Ann Leckie. - I was saddened to see that there was no Ronald Malfi in stock, which I find to be a mainstay in horror. - There was no Between the Buried and Me vinyl in stock, which saddens me due to concert tonight (that's why I drove all the way to this coast).
