I could see the patty was hand formed. We were sat immediately at a table not far from the kitchen. Each of the dozen or so tables comfortably sits four people each. Our server was friendly, cheerful and attentive. There is a bar in the main dining area serving liquor and beer. In the back of the bar is a pool table and an outdoor patio also with a bar and several tables, offering a great way to eat and relax outside. There are two bathrooms, one inside the restaurant and the other is outside by the patio. The one by the patio is a little cleaner and better maintained. Burger prices are a little on the high side, averaging between $17.00. However, you are getting a superior burger. Street parking can be a bit of a challenge due to the restaurant being located in downtown Gettysburg. Parking is free on Saturdays and Sundays until 1 PM. This is a nice local pub to meet up with friends and family for a casual eating experience I recommend giving this joint a try. The qualitu of the burgers alone make it worth while.

We were greeted warmly by a young man and his siblings. He showed us around the produce stall that had various local items from peaches to corn and everything in between. Behind the stall were shelves of beautiful homemade pottery. He invited us to take a look inside their gallery as there were more items for sale in there, jams, tea, coffee and more pottery. The gallery was air conditioned so it was a nice break from the heat. We ended up purchasing corn, peaches, some jam and fair trade organic coffee. Everything we got was ripe and delicious. They had a window of luscious chocolates you could purchase in addition there were caramel apples and delicious nut and caramel clusters with chocolate on top both light and dark. I also purchased a marshmallow on a stick dipped in caramel with chocolate accents. There was a pack of 6 caramels I purchased too- so soft, fresh and delicious. The very thin tail end was slightly dry, but it was such a small portion that it didn't take away from the meal. The biggest surprise was their housemade tartar sauce. Creamy, tangy and slightly sweet from the relish. Hands down my favorite tartar sauce I've had! The seasoned battered waffle fries were also delicious, and they give you a TON. The coleslaw wasn't personally my preferred style since I like a finely minced, sweeter and juicier slaw, while theirs was longer shredded and drier, but that's completely personal preference. Portions here are HUGE, so several meals could easily be shared or give you plenty of leftovers. We also loved the cozy neighborhood pub atmosphere with exposed brick, dark wood, baseball and Eddie Plank memorabilia, and moodier lighting. Between the food, atmosphere, huge portions and especially Aedan's wonderful service, Gettysburg Eddie's has officially earned a spot in our Gettysburg rotation. We can't wait to come back!

The variety of coffees and syrups that this store carries is impressive! I was surprised by all of their sugar free syrup options. They also offered decaf espresso. The staff member was so eager to tell us all about the interior decorations that came from Chicago. He did not rush us at any point and we had a friendly discussion about Marvel and DC comics. They have tons of seasonal offerings for their coffee but are happy to make something unique just for you as well. Definitely stop by for delicious chocolates and cozy coffee.
