I've had a great experience with Beehive Glass in the past but unfortunately this last time was pretty frustrating. I have an old window I need fixed, the other side of my door that they beautifully fixed 5 years ago. I made an appointment for a consult, he didn't come. There was apparently a miscommunication with their schedules so I let it slide because we all have miscommunications. He came, measured, took pictures, said I would hear back within a couple of days. 2 weeks later I called back and they said they were waiting for the owner to do the bid and she'll check on that. Never got a call back. I called again 2 weeks later, left a message, still nothing. I don't like leaving bad reviews for small local companies but it's been incredibly frustrating. read more

I recently needed a large curved glass panel for an antique curio cabinet. Craftspeople who can do this type of work are rare and I was lucky to have found a skilled shop in Beehive Glass, a company which has been working on art glass projects for decades. Although the cost of the job was high, due to the fact that they had to build a custom mold to bend the large piece of glass that I needed, the final result was great. They also do a lot of repairs of stained and leaded glass as well as traditional window glass replacement. As for me, they will remain my go to place for art glass and especially curved glass projects. read more

Was looking for a few smallish pieces of vintage glass to fill some upper bar cabinets drawers for interest (they'll be lighted) initially was shown the "textured patterns" they offer in new glass. When one of the owners (or managers?) not sure came into their small reception area and heard what I was after he graciously took me back and showed me the "good stuff" . Or the scraps from other jobs or salvages. Or was exactly what I wanted and we found a perfect piece for my 2 small doors! I'll post a picture someday when we finish the job. It has been a year to get shower doors. We call and ask for an update, they feign ignorance and say they'll call back later but don't, rinse repeat every couple months. Finally they call us and agree to install. They come over but they manufactured the shower door backwards, so they leave, we wait, we call, they feign ignorance and say they'll call back but don't, rinse repeat every couple months. We called 2-3 months ago and finally get a hold of the guy who came out to install, he apologized sincerely, says they'll take care of it, but here we are. Screw this company. They are completely irresponsible liars and DO NOT DESERVE YOUR BUSINESS. the worst experience. I ordered a shower enclosure and they said it would be a couple of weeks. After numerous phone calls with no response at all. Call you back never happened. 10 weeks later they come to install. Will not fit weeks pass another visit. Cut wrong now it's 15 weeks and they come back still wrong. Finally after 16 weeks they put it in. Had a problem called no response had someone else fix it. 4 months later they call me to come over and fix it. This place has had the most abysmal record of customer service I have seen in some time. Not only is my order 3-4 weeks behind but I have called at least 10 times for updates and every time they say they will call back, they don't. I have renters that are complaining about no shower and I am losing income as a result of their delays and over and over again they do not even have the courtesy to call back all while explicitly promising they will. Once you put your deposit down, they forget you are the customer. I would steer clear of these guys, and find another glass company in retrospect. They over-promise and so far have delivered nothing. ---------Update---------- I am updating this to say many months behind! They measured and cut the glass wrong and I called four times to follow up. I haven't heard from them now in several weeks. They are still holding my money hostage so I can't go anywhere else. I'm very impressed with Beehive Glass. Granted, it wasn't a huge order, we just wanted a piece of glass to protect our very expensive yet not at all durable wood table. I just googled glass and took a gamble, but I could not have asked for more. The man I spoke to on the phone (I forgot his name :() was so friendly and helpful. He easily could have up-sold me on a thicker glass, but recommended the standard size for what our needs are. This saved us over $100! Within one week, I got a call that our custom piece was done and ready for delivery. I didn't catch their names either (I'm bad at that), but the technicians that came were both very friendly and professional. Talk about "white glove service"!!! They made sure my glass was sparkling clean and then asked for my approval before leaving. After dealing with a remodel and numerous contractors that lacked both customer service and skill, my experience with Beehive Glass was quite refreshing. Thanks, Beehive Glass! These guys are amazing! I took my odd sized bathroom window in I was in a massive rush for it to be done quick for my home inspection. I took it in on a Tuesday afternoon and let them know and needed to be done by Thursday but you know what they had it done for me next day! I was so happy and grateful that they were able to get it done for me so quickly and it wasn't very expensive, even better!! Lisa Paxton helped us and she was very helpful! In the end I had my husband pick up my order and he was supposed to call me when he was there and I was going to give him my credit card info. I am a repeat customer and have used Beehive Glass many times since moving to Utah for my house in the Avenues and near Park City. Last year they installed a large full wall mirror for a home gym and have come to my aid in several last-minute jobs, HOWEVER, I called their office ten days ago and spoke with Janna, asking to set up an appointment for a time when I'd be back in Salt Lake. I needed two small broken windows replaced and said we were putting our home on the market in two weeks, so I needed this done asap. Yes, she said, we can get someone to come measure and install. She said someone would call me back to make a time to meet me. I waited more than several days and no one contacted me. So I called back and talked to Lisa who didn't see anything in the work orders, so she asked me to wait another day and call Janna when she'd be in. This morning, I talked to Janna again and she said I better find another glass company because they are short staffed and small orders go to the bottom of the list. I was shocked and told her of my disappointment. I am done with you Beehive Glass. Shame on you only taking large orders over loyal repeat customers. read more

Well the craftsman ship is solid work... BUT if you want to deal with a small and unpleasant staff so be it... Took THREE weeks for them to send over a bid and the only reason it was ever sent was because of me calling constantly with no answer (they totally forgot about me) -- finally a email made it through and a bid was sent. (reason they forgot was "We only have 4 people working on thousands of bids a day" -- I laughed out loud. THEN it takes a week or two longer because they outsource the glass and can't tell me when they will show up to my house to make repairs but require a $700.00 Down Payment on services.. Over all I give one star any only because the work was satisfactory but the hassle and headache of pulling their teeth to do business with me is not worth me ever going back or recommending them to anyone.. Customer service means a lot to people and if you want to grow and maintain sales please step up your game.. read more

Service could not be worse for this company. I have never rated a company this low. Had them cut some custom shelves they said it would be two weeks, it has now been six weeks. Now they say they can't find who the installer is supposed to be and haven't returned phone calls. They have been happy to take the payment, and still no resolution.
