I found Beehive Quilt Shop on my drive home from going on a "quilty vacation". And I am so glad I found them. I had planned to do a quick shop, since I still had 6 hours left to drive home. I ended up spending 1 1/2 hours in there. I met Katie and Desiree, and they were exceptional in helping me. From their huge inventory, I was able to find fabric from some older collections that I needed. I also found fabric from brand new collections, and preordered from another collection. If I lived closer to Beehive Quilt Shop, I would probably be in trouble. But since they have an online shop... If you're ever in Wellington, KS, this is a shop you have to stop at. My only regret is that I did not have the time to shop through the half of the shop, which is a children/gift shop. Maybe a Wellington day trip is in the future? I think so. I have only ever ordered online from them because I live in a different State. ( used an old phone number shopping online so I haven't talked to anyone on the phone but they have responded online promptly with questions I have)They do videos that show the fabrics clearly. They had an out of print fabric that I needed for my project , a book that is out of print that I needed for a class, ending up buying the backing fabric I needed as well early because they had the perfect one and I was able to buy enough for the binding. As far as I am concerned, this is the most amazing Quilt Shop in Kansas. I reside an hour away and prefer to shop with them. Connie, AnnaRose, and all their staff are very accommodating and friendly.. They are always helpful when it comes to colorways and they know their fabrics. I also want to mention they have the most fabulous retreat house (The Hive Retreat House) right down the street from the Quilt Shop. My group has been retreating there twice a year since 2019. Bee Hive Quilt Shop is always fun to shop!! They have a great selection of quality quilt fabric. One of my favorites is the Kansas Troubles. Bee Hive has a fairly new line of Kansas Troubles that has some very vintage looking patterns, very similar to reproduction prints. I love it all. Actually all the Kansas Troubles are reproduction-like. All the ladies are great. What's more the Retreat center is a great place to take a class or hold a retreat with friends.
