Prost!! I knew that I had to visit a brewery in Munich, but when you're a tourist who can only speak a little German, how would you know where to start? That's when a local pointed me to Munich Walk Tours, a small kiosk under the Glockenspiel. This kiosk was closed during the day so when returning later, I was told about all walking tours but what stood out was a beer tour. A beer tour? Hell yeah! My tour guide was Ian, a friendly Brit who worked as a guide for a few months and was very knowledgeable. He took the group to a local brewery where we munched on tasty pretzels and sampled a few beers. We then checked out the rest of the brewery and saw a small video on how beer is made. After having an awesome time with people from around the world, we all headed over to the Hofbräuhaus and ate more food! The beer was non-stop and the Bavarian food was delicious! The Weisswursts here were the best I've ever had. Because the beer and food made the group so much closer, we all headed over to another bar after the tour and hung out with the locals. This tour is a must in Munich. read more
