I have heard Bee's use to be great but have gone down hill. Took my car to Bee's on 6/13/2023 because my AC was blowing hot on driver's side & only slightly cool on passenger side. Bee's replaced Expansion Valve ($968.86). Fast forward to August 2024..AC starting failing again. Called Bee's hoping for some kind of warranty...no luck. They did diagnostic & per Bee's the Expansion Valve failed...same part fixed last June ($527.24). He did mention that he saw a slight compressor operation failure but his wife said he wasn't too worried about it. Three days later, AC is performing worse than when I brought it on 8/16. Called, they said bring back in. Arrived, shop was closed, so I left key in drop box. Called to let them know, mailbox full. I also emailed. Called again next day, one of their mechanics answered & said "I'll let him know when he shows up." That was a clue. They had my car for 8 days, I called, left messages, went by (closed). Showed up at their shop again on 9/4 at 10am..waited till 11 when he finally arrived. He said he thought his wife called me to update..nope. 8 days & car was parked in same spot on street & couldn't really tell me much. Took to Griffis, and they said I need a new compressor. They are amazing & so happy I found them. At this point I have no idea if my Expansion Valve even needed to be replaced. read more

Charged my girlfriend to tighten an oil filter they put on in February that was causing an oil leak and add a quart of oil. Also charged for an estimate on struts which do not need to be replaced per tire kingdom. See photo of quote. Who charges to give a quote? Who charges 83 bucks to tighten an oil filter and add one quart of oil? Oh yeah....bees does! Should be called bee careful. Place has really gone down tubes since the dad left. They also were not good about calling to reschedule work done in March...3 rescheduled with conflicting stories depending on who she spoke to on the phone. One of the times she drove 45 minutes all the way there and they said 'we're too busy' to service her car when they could have called to let her know the real issue was they had the wrong part. Second time they did call but she was half way there. This time at least they didn't lie to her. Third time they finally installed a used part and the next day the light came on again. Fact was she was done with bees in March but assumed they wouldn't charge her to take care of the oil leak that was caused by their negligence. But $83 later and a bogus quote, once again.....BEES STIKES AGAIN. I told her she should have put them on blast the last time they rooked her, but her dad s2ore by them for years. But the younger generation is now in charge now and it looks like bees is bee-ing run into the dirt! read more

Had problem with a/c on Grand Marquis. Was charged $65 to run a 30 second self diagnostic on vehicle. Seems a bit excessive.

I was experiencing a problem with my truck that it would lose all electrical power randomly and then come back about 15 mins later for seemingly no reason. I dropped it off to Wayne and in about a day, he had found and solved the problem for me. I've gone back many times for everything, Wayne and his staff have always been friendly and the price has always been completely reasonable. I've sent everyone I know there and never heard a bad word back. It's not a fancy shop but it's the best I've ever been to and I trust Wayne absolutely with everything I own. read more

Took my Nissan Frontier to him because it was running hot. He allegedly put in a thermostat which was not installed and misdiagnosed the problem being it was the radiator that was the problem. His excuse was that the truck needed a head gasket. I do not understand why people in Clermont think he is so great. He is expensive and does not know how to diagnose car problems like a good mechanic should. Avoid this place like the plague if you can. All the guy wants to talk about is political mumbo jumbo that he has going on with the city which I give 0 shits about. The older guy that is always there is real shady gloomy kind of guy. Just be careful when choosing a good mechanic to fix your vehicle these guys will just take your money and not fix shit. read more

We had a power steering failure in our small RV while camping near Clermont. We called Bee's, after being refused at several other places, they agreed to see us and take a look. We got there at 11:45 and the mechanic immediately found the problem. By 1:45 the part that was leaking power steering fluid was replaced and we were on our way. Being from out of town, we looked online for a reputable auto mechanic to fix a problem with our car. Stopped by this no-frills neighborhood shop and Wayne, the owner, knew what the problem was right away. We see why he's been in the business for over 24 yrs. He's a nice guy who knows what he's doing! They fixed the problem in a couple of hrs and charged a very fair price. He didn't try to up sell or look for something that wasn't there. I went in for a misfire on my f150 and got a call back 3 days later letting me know i had a bad bearing on my rear axle, wayne the owner of Bee's automotive mention it will cost $437 to do the job. I figure the job will be no more then a day or so. After 3 days of them having the truck for the job plus 3 more days from original problem(Week) I get a call letting me know I need it to replace the rear axle pinion and gear costing and additional $500+ . At this time I decided to go to the shop and see what was going on, he started by telling me that they had stripped the pinion shaft, so I said then I was not going to pay for this as it was there FAULT. Wayne then decided to tell me that I needed to pay or he will take everything apart and I was going to pick up my truck with a tow truck. I will not ever take my cars to Bee's automotive, but what I will do is pass the word around as how unprofessional and not trustworthy this business and its Owner Wayne is. read more

Good and trustworthy mechanics are hard to find. I had to have the flywheel replaced on my Impala and took it to Bee's on a recommendation. The repair was done in a timely manner, but had to take it back the same day because they forgot to tighten the bolts on the starter. They were not apologetic about this oversight at all. A short time later, I was noticing some vibration and noise coming from the engine compartment and was having and oil change done and mentioned it to another shop I had taken the car to. Since the flywheel repair I had had no other work done and the new mechanic found that the vibration was being caused by the A/C compressor. 1 bolt holding the A/C unit in place was broken off and 2 other bolts were stripped, so basically the A/C unit was barely hanging there. To me, this type of lack of attention and covering up their mistake by not informing the customer is unacceptable. Buyer beware!! read more
