I needed a new valve cover gasket, went to a shop in Minneola, prices were too high, including $120 an hour for labor, total cost near $400. (with no PCV Valve and no new oil) Researched and noted reviews for D&G Auto Repair and went there, When completed, two quarts of oil, and a new PCV valve in addition to the gasket replacement, I was out the door for $286. D&G's labor prices are incredibly reasonable and they never tries to upsell or fix something that isn't broken. You just feel like you're dealing with honest mechanics. We've had brakes, shocks, tune ups and oil changes, etc. done here and it's always been an excellent experience. I had reviewed this business when it was listed as being in Minneola. For some reason the rating or review doesn't show up when I look it up. There are two mechanics that are partners here. Each has their own clients and they have been working together in the same building for years. I have always used Greg because he was referred to me by a friend. He is amazingly honest and goes out of his way to save you money and not replace things that don't need to be replaced in his opinion. He is always good at sticking to his schedule and having your car ready when promised. I have never had work done by his partner, but he has always been very pleasant. The fact that Greg has worked with him for so many years must mean he is a good guy and good mechanic. Make sure you call ahead, because they work by appointment and there is usually a few days of wait time. read more
