I was unfamiliar with the leasing procedures in a different country, so I made every effort to seek guidance from the leasing office and relied on the information I was given. Instead of receiving clear instructions, I was later held financially responsible for procedural requirements that were never explained to me. I believe residents, especially those who are unfamiliar with the rental system, should be able to rely on the leasing office to provide complete and accurate guidance when they proactively ask for help. Approximately 60 days before my intended move-out date, I notified the leasing office by email that I planned to terminate my lease. Throughout the following weeks, I proactively contacted the office multiple times to ask what steps were required. I wanted to make sure I completed everything correctly. I later obtained and returned the Notice to Vacate form. When I returned it, I specifically asked whether there was anything else I needed to do and was told there were no further steps required. Based on the information provided by the leasing office, I moved out as planned and personally returned all of my keys. Only after moving out was I informed that my lease termination had not been processed because the Notice to Vacate form was not submitted 60 days before my move-out date. At no point was I told that my earlier written notice would not satisfy their process or that the form itself also needed to be submitted on the same timeline. I repeatedly asked the office to identify any lease provision or written policy stating this requirement, but no documentation has been provided. Since then, I have been charged additional rent and utility fees that I dispute. Even more frustrating has been the lack of communication. Despite multiple follow-up emails over several weeks, my specific questions have largely gone unanswered, with responses simply repeating that a 60-day notice is required instead of addressing why these procedural requirements were never explained when I repeatedly asked for guidance. I understand that lease agreements have rules, but residents should also be given clear and accurate instructions when they actively seek assistance. My concern is not the existence of the policy but it's the lack of communication, accountability, and professionalism throughout the process.

The registration, check-in, and monthly payments were all automated and easy to use and navigate. The space was cosy but roomy enough for two of us, and the place was fully furnished with an outfitted kitchen so we could easily cook any meal if we wanted to. I recommend Mt Vernon Flats for anyone needing a furnished place for a week or months.

I would hate for the next person to be shortened out of their hard earned money the way I was, so my review is solely to bring awareness to those after me. Throughout my process there was a complete lack of empathy, common courtesy, and ethical practice. I'll begin by saying the holding/ reservation fee is a compete scam. They will stall and take your money. Using their leasing agents at the forefront, they will systematically avoiding routine application updates for 2 weeks just to keep your money (keep in mind during the two weeks they close early on Saturday , they're closed on Sunday, and barely even answer the phone). First, they'll begin by telling you that they are still "processing" your application. When you apply they provide you with this misconception that the fee you're paying is a holding deposit that reserves your unit, and goes toward your first month's rent - NO. It is indeed going into their pockets. This will be right before they cease all communication, and put the unit you paid to reserve back on their marketing website as "available for rent." Once that two week time frame expires, they'll re-open the unit you reserved to new applicants. This rinse & repeat method is an ongoing cycle they use to bring in revenue to mitigate their losses. It's unfortunate that this egregious "business" they are operating will go the mile of using scandalous and ambiguous tactics just to keep the lights on in the building.

The city is full of history. The apartment is secure with indoor parking and closed lobby. You even have to use a security pass to get the elevators to move. The building is very secure, the apartments equipped with smart technology and the hallways are kept clean. Downside is hallways sometimes smell like marijuana and parties can get loud. Seems like a good, secure -if not on the expensive side - place to livr.

However, when I text her I received no response, I called her cellphone, no response, after thinking maybe she was separated from her cell I waited, I waited 4 days for her to contact me, I heard nothing, at this point I was getting very uncomfortable and started to contact the area hospitals, when I called the hospitals no one had a record of her being their. I called Ms. Starr Pope and explain to her what was going on, she jumped into action and went to the apartment while allowing me to FaceTime her; when she entered the apartment I was able to see that all of me daughter belongs were still there and there was no sign of any thing that appeared out of order. Ive been having a very unfortunate experience with this property . i moved here in last January ,…read moreon the 7th floor . The building construction has major flaws that allows rain water into my apartment during heavy rainfall . Prior to me moving into my apartment Bozzuto management and the on site management office was fully aware of this issue. In May 2025 there was a heavy rainfall and my den completely flooded , at the time i was building a game room and had thousands of dollars of electronics and shoes. That flood caused about 5k in damages to my property and home . Maintenance promised to fix the issue . sending contractors to work in my apartment and promising the issue was fixed . fast forward to the heavy rainfall we had last month in October 2025 . The same problem in the same area of my apartment flooded AGAIN this time wetting the more of my clothing. I reported the issue again to management . management offered me a different apartment , I absolutely accepted the apartment but they were unwilling to help me relocate. it's the end of the month rent is due and now i have to pack up all of my furniture , clothing and all my pets and move all of my stuff to a different apartment . i did the calculations $2000 moving cost for mover , $300 for tv removal and remounting, $600 wallpaper and kitchen island finishing and wallpapering and these are the lowest possible fees. So $2900 + 2700 for regular rent $5600 dollars on the fly is INSANE. I'd asked management for assistance . Rent reduction or moving assistance to help me with the transition and they declined. So here we are . I'm currently stuck in this apartment , unable to use a portion of my apartment for fear of flooding damages. No assistance from management or Bozzuto. The only option I have now is to put my rent into escrow and let the court decide. It's so disheartening to have to experience this so close to the holidays . No help . No empathy . It's literally just a money grab with this company. My advice DO NOT MOVE INTO THIS PROPERTY. Find else where . I wouldn't want anyone to go through the things that ive gone through . I also have to have my apartment inspected for Mold .
