After going back through all invoices, here's what happened: * Visit 1: $225 for a "drain line fix" that was never needed or actually fixed. The drain line is still set up exactly the same as when we moved in and has worked perfectly fine. We were even told to call a plumber, and the plumber confirmed there was no issue. * Same visit: $287 to replace a dryer belt (part #WE03X29897), which is a ~$10 part and a relatively quick repair. * Visit 2: After about an hour of diagnosing, the technician blew off a sensor and the washer immediately started working again. * Visit 3: After the washer was already functioning, we were then advised to replace the suspension rods ($155). Total paid was around $660. The main issue isn't just the price which is absurd for about 60-70 dollars worth of parts--it's that the problem wasn't correctly diagnosed from the start, and we were charged across multiple visits before arriving at a solution. There was also a repair performed that did not appear necessary. Being publicly called a liar instead of being asked for clarification was unprofessional, Rick. I also contacted the main office after these visits, and the pricing breakdown I shared previously came directly from them. Sharing this so others can ask more detailed questions upfront about diagnosis, pricing, and necessity of repairs.

I scheduled a technician visit based on office communication regarding two concerns. Dryer vent: I inquired about cleaning an internal vent line and was advised to schedule a visit. After the technician arrived, he explained that internal vent access is not part of their work, so nothing could be done during the appointment. Refrigerator water quality: I asked whether water quality concerns in a one-year-old refrigerator were more likely appliance-related or plumbing-related, and was advised to schedule a technician visit. After evaluating the situation, the technician recommended addressing plumbing first. The technician was professional and informative. My experience relates to office communication and clarity about service limitations, which would have helped avoid an unnecessary appointment.

Would not recommend at all! The manager was so rude and awful to deal with. We rented the rug…read moredoctor and it worked for 20 minutes and quit. I called and told him and he said it's not his problem because they get those from a different company. He also called me a liar and didn't believe me that it didn't work and he for sure wasn't going to eat the cost. It was honestly the worst experience ever. We will never go back and we will take our business to Ace Hardware.

The quality of the customer service at store #6744, 515 LAFAYETTE STREET, Bay City, MI was…read moreATROCIOUS, UNEQUIVOCALLY UNNECESSARY, CONDESCENDING, as well as, very INSULTING to both my father and brother(s). My brother took a patio screen door there to be "FIXED". The employee looked it over and said they could "FIX IT" for $70....no problem, it was paid! When they called to say it was ready, another brother went to pick it up and brought it home. My father looked at it and IMMEDIATELY said "THIS ISN'T FIXED"!!! He immediately took it back to the store, and informed and showed the employee(s) that it WAS NOT FIXED. As they were discussing it, the wheels fell off in the store! My father said "is that what you consider fixed?!" They said "they weren't told that it needed wheels", what they fixed was a hole. Keep in mind, when it was brought in, THEIR EMPLOYEE LOOKED IT OVER, IN IT'S ENTIRELY, ACCESSED IT ENOUGH TO GIVE A RATE OF $70!!! Instead of apologizing profusely for their SUBSTANDARD WORK, they elected to insinuate that it was my brother's fault for not saying what needed to be fixed. {ISN'T THAT THE SOLE REASON FOR AN INITIAL 'INSPECTION' and a price quote?} My 82 year old father, whom has done business at that store since they opened, which was probably close to 15 years or more, was very upset and they did not try to appease him with a reasonable 'solution', they were more interested in accusing my brother -WHO IS NOT A SCREEN DOOR AFICIONADO- of 'not saying what needed to be fixed'. My brother WENT BACK DOWN TO THE STORE because THEY had my father so upset; he had to have our 82 year old father go wait outside, while he defused the UNNECESSARILY BELLIGERENT situation. Ultimately, the store manager begrudgingly ceded to refunding my brother his $70. In conclusion, all that could have been said by EITHER ONE OF THEIR EMPLOYEES was: "We are sorry sir! PERHAPS WE ALL misunderstood your needs. We would be happy to fix the wheels on your screen door, however there may be an additional fee added. Will that work for you?" BUT because of the extremely poor customer service both my father and brother experienced, GILL-ROY lost a WELL KNOWN, VERY LOYAL CUSTOMER, who has spent hundreds, if not thousands of dollars at that store BECAUSE OF THEIR IMCOMPETANCE, SUB-STANDARD WORK, and INADEQUATE CUSTOMER APPRECIATION AND SHODDY CUSTOMER SERVICE.
