From the moment he arrived, the staff made him feel welcome and cared for. The facility, itself, is a little on the older side, but the attention and kindness Dad received more than made up for it. The staff worked diligently on his strength and balance, and were equally attentive to making sure he was well-fed, comfortable, and never lacking for anything he needed. Every single person we encountered was warm, encouraging, and genuinely helpful. My dad's been in other rehab facilities before, but they were far from home & made regular visits quite a hardship for our family. Having a place of this caliber so close to us has meant everything. We're deeply grateful for the care he received, and if he ever needs this level of support again, we wouldn't hesitate to bring him back. Hopefully that day never comes -- but it's a real comfort knowing it's there if it does.

I needed a new primary care doctor so I went to see her to establish a new doctor/patient relationship. We discussed a few issues that I thought were minor and she recommended just some overall bloodwork to get a baseline. Side note, I was 37 at the time...no huge worry for age related issues. Well Dr. Constans attention to detail, knowledge, and overall concern for her patient saved my life. She was concerned with a slight elevation on my bloodwork and looked into it deeper. Mind you, I believe I had this same elevation a year prior with my previous doctor getting bloodwork after my daughter was born. She found that it was possible that I had Leukemia. Fast forward to a trip to an oncologist/hematologist and she was correct. Caught it early and I'm in treatment with a much better response due to it being caught so early. She called personally to check on me after my official diagnosis and has always made sure I get appointments in a timely manner if something comes up. She cares, she's honest, she's knowledgeable, and she's just an overall amazing doctor. I highly recommend her.

She also goes above and beyond when there are issues: i.e. she has filled out a bunch of paperwork for me when I needed it for insurance. I was told I would have an appointment with a psychiatrist and then in a few weeks they would have there testing center in Tukwila reach out for a computerized test. Met with the psychiatrist who was fine but not great, a little cold. She tells me they'll reach out in two weeks. Email after a month, no response. Call after another week and I'm told they have no idea when testing is available. No time frame! Weeks? Not sure, months? Not sure, a year? I don't think it will be a year they say. So when? Not sure. So I'm out $130 for an appointment that could have been a questionnaire with less judgement. Literally I was asked why do you think you have ADHD, family history, and the rest were scales for depression, anxiety, and symptoms related to ADHD. This to me is unethical to advertise and take on patients that you can assess and treat ADHD all the while having no idea when testing is actually going to be available! Tasks are hard for people suffering with depression, anxiety, and probable ADHD. So this just helps pile on to all all that.

A PT at Select PT stared in disbelief when I lifted my left arm alongside my head and said, "I hope you know that's not normal," and clarified that she'd never seen such great range of motion following a total shoulder replacement. I just had the same surgery done on my right shoulder and am looking forward to going back to Maren for my PT. She is not in my neighborhood and there's sometimes quite a lot of traffic, which I really don't like...and there are good (from what I hear) PTs walking distance from me...but I'm willing to brave the traffic for someone I know will do a great job!

I've been to many PT offices in the past ten years and I look for two things: one, do the PT's know what they are doing? Here the answer is yes--not only do they know the basics, they are incredibly up-to-date--I was really impressed with my PT for discussing new research on certain ways of building up certain ancillary muscles to help out my knees--exercises NONE of my previous PT's have done with me, and my knees are really thanking Dan for his work with me. The space and equipment they have is really comprehensive, as well. Definitely not lacking for what both my PT and other's in the office require. I almost wish sometimes I had another injury so I could use some of the cool looking equipment. Second thing that's necessary in a great PT office is the staff-- and every single staff member from the PT's to the front desk to the PT assistants are awesome. A lot of fun to work with, and incredibly nice and easy going. They all really know their patients-- it's not just obligatory conversations that take place, everyone who works here really likes and are great at working with people. Fun, friendly vibe in the whole place, including their cute dog that runs around. Hours are available for both earlier and later in the day appointments, I haven't had any problems with scheduling or cancellations, and they've been able to work with me when I had to last-minute change an appointment. Really appreciate and am grateful for everyone here! Lastly, I must include the fact that they have great music playing in the background, and remember what I said about everyone here being wonderful? They even take special requests for having my favorite jams on as I walk in the door for my appointment. Can't say enough about these folks!

Case manager Katie S was awesome and always made sure I was being heard. Only complaint is they didn't have enough phones to do their jobs correctly. So they need more phones.

I have been to the Seattle residential treatment center twice now and am currently in their PHP…read moreprogram. I don't normally write reviews but seeing how many negative reviews there are I thought I would add my experience. I'll just be reviewing residential. The Emily Program has saved my life. The staff at the Seattle residential site (from EDTs, to therapists and dietitians, to the AMAZING nurses) are incredible. TEP is very gender and lgbtq+ inclusive; when introducing yourself you always say your name and pronouns and many of the staff themselves use they/them pronouns. The food is decent. You can have your phone on you at all times except during meals and groups (you either put it in your locker beforehand or, like most people, set it on the ground outside by the door). To me that was a huge perk of TEP vs anywhere else; I don't know why other treatment facilities need to take our phones away from us - we're adults. They follow the HAES/all foods fit model, and are exchange based. There are daily walks and yoga. There are six outside breaks to smoke. You can always smoke after lunch and dinner but have to eat breakfast and snacks in order to go outside for those breaks. This is one of my issues. First, there should be a smoke break at 6am, after weights are done. It's really hard for a smoker to wake up at 5:45 and wait two hours for a cigarette. There used to be a smoke break at 6 but they moved it to after breakfast. I don't understand why there can't be both? As a smoker already cutting way back and in a high stress environment, this was really frustrating. My other, and bigger, issue is the lack of seating and ability to find any quiet time for yourself. As an introvert this drove me mad. Rooms are locked after breakfast and unlocked at 7:15pm-ish to get ready for bed. There is one couch in the living room and it fills up quick. There is another couch in "the nook" but when you're level 2 (the starting level) you have to be in line of sight of an EDT and EDTs never go down to the nook to allow for level 2s to sit there. I think more of an effort needs to be made, like EDTs sitting in the nook without being asked, opening up the small group room when the living room is full, perhaps purchasing a small couch for the living room (could go by the door for kitchen supplies), or even allowing patients time in their room to decompress during the day. If you have sensory issues like I do this will be a problem for you. Thankfully the therapists are understanding and can make special allowances like allotted time in small group room or room, but I think TEP needs to be more proactive about this problem. All in all, I think TEP is a great program that saves many lives, mine included. I hope their EDTs are compensated well because they are the heartbeat of the program. I knocked off one star mostly for the lack of care for patients' needs for space, quiet, and even seating, but the morning break thing is also a frustration. But I would absolutely recommend TEP and truly believe they're a notch above similar programs. Also, after seeing a review saying this program is not intensive, I decided to add a photo of the schedule (from October 2020 - they frequently make minor changes so it might not be up to date) so you can decide for yourself how intensive it is. On top of this you get pulled for therapy twice a week, and dietitian and psychiatry appointments once a week.

lakeside Milam is a good recovery center for inpatient, I repeat impatient…read more DO NOT COME HERE FOR OUTPATIENT SERVICES (impatient at Milam is beautiful! find another outpatient suitable for you other than this Eastlake milam location) IF YOU ARE SERIOUS ABOUT YOUR RECOVERY AND ARE WILLING TO BE HONEST WITH THEM ABOUT YOUR JOURNEY, YOU WILL NOT BE TREATED WITH THE CARE NECESSARY. but rather, you will be berated by the Director, who goes by the name, Kim. i'm sure this woman is a great woman who earned her position through diligent work, but her attitude is not conducive to be dealing with people who are sick. David is another man who runs this outpatient and is a very good man. He is often overuled leaving him in a position of powerlessness, which is bad for us as recovering clients because he is conducive to our recovery and isn't given the push or the green light to deal with us as he needs fit. I am very disappointed in Lakeside Milam the outpatient program because they did so much to change my life with their inpatient program. I do not make reviews but the fact I took time to write this review should say a lot. If they do read these reviews, they will know who this came from.
