Had to go to the Lowes out East and the wind was a blowing me toward Chalmette for lunch on the way home. I wanted to get a Bubble Tea or the like and a Banh Mi. I searched Yelp and "Beignets & More" was the first place that came up. Of course the have Beignets but The "More" surprised me. A quarter of the menu was New Orleans "Cuisines" which is a couple of Wraps, Burger, Hot Sausage, Philly Cheese Steak, French Fries and a few salads. The rest of the menu is Vietnamese! Appetizers, Noodle, Rice, and what I wanted, a Chicken Banh Mi and Coconut Smoothie with Tapioca. Both were delicious! The Char- grilled Chicken was juicy and flavorful and served on Dong Phuong Bread. (Just typing juicy made my mouth water) The Coconut Smoothie was so good I wish I had bought two. Really, I want one now. They also cater and what grabbed my eye was 5 Chicken Banh Mi for $18.00 40 Egg Rolls or 40 Chicken Wings for $30. I'll be back! Beignets And More had the best service, and best food at the lowest price of each of the restaurants I went to. I ordered rice and chicken, spring rolls, and beignet bites. The beignets here were better than Cafe Du Monde, and the entree was the best meal I've eaten in this area by far. I love this place. The owner doesn't speak much English but he is so nice! Always comes to our table to say hello. I always get the same thing- grilled pork and instead of the white rice I upgrade to tofu fried rice. OMG! I love,love, love it! I crave it sometimes! My husband always gets the rare beef pho. Great food!!!! This is one of two best Asian style restaurant in New Orleans, really Vietnamese restaurant. Those po boys are amazing. We ate here for the first time last night. The pho is excellent with a slightly clove flavored broth, delicate and complex. I had the tofu bun which was wonderful. The tofu was flavored with lemongrass and is grilled to a nice texture. We shared spring rolls which were a decent size and nice, but the dipping sauce was the real star - not light and not too heavy on the peanuts. They also have American fair, and fried rice. Not only is the food amazing, because it is, but the staff is just so nice and welcoming. The older gentleman always makes an effort to come from behind the scenes and make conversation with every customer. Sometimes he even greets us in the parking lot! The younger gentleman always remembers our orders, and if one of our friend group shows up without the others, he asks about us. They really make you feel like family! There is literally nothing on the menu I didn't love. My favorites are the egg rolls, gyoza, spring rolls, any pho... the broth is sooo good, the chicken fried rice is perfect, and short ribs. Oh! I don't even know where to start. This restaurant, even with it's horrible name, is THE BEST thing about St. Bernard Parish. It should be winning awards left and right. I hope the name keeps some people away because I want it to stay hidden for as long as possible and keep it all to myself. The food? To die for EVERY time. The staff? Friendly, helpful. The decor? I recently started working in the Chalmette area and didn't realize I'd find so many food choices over here! Beignets and More is a family-owned Vietnamese restaurant that serves authentic Vietnamese cuisine. They even offer a small menu of American dishes too. The restaurant is located in a strip on West Judge Perez Dr. During lunch time and dinner time, the restaurant is always pretty full but service is always very quick! Every dish I've ordered here is so delicious. Not a single one has disappointed me. The Crab Rangoons are perfect! They hold well for to-go orders or even as leftovers. The pho is authentic and maybe one of my favorite places for pho in the general New Orleans area. Other great dishes would be the Lemongrass Pork Spring Rolls, Com Bo Luc Lac (Pan Seared Cubed Beef and rice), and the Bun Thit Nuong (Chargrilled Pork and Vermicelli Noodles). They serve pretty authentic beignets, but I really like the mini beignets. They're about half the size of a regular beignet and great to eat with the Vietnamese coffee. Just stopped here after a movie today. Got crab Rangoon and chicken poppers for a snack and sister got an avocado smoothie. The crab Rangoon is to die for. There's not many times when I can say that but this was awesome. I love the fact that it wasn't overwhelmed with cream cheese and you can actually see and taste pieces if crab. I love it. One of the tastiest, most affordable meals in the area. I can't recommend Beignets & More enough if you enjoy Vietnamese food. I believe that we have tried most of the items on the menu on our many visits and we've rarely been disappointed. Our favorites include the delicious combination fried rice, which is full of shrimp, chicken and tasty fresh vegetables and the Pho Tai, which is always fresh, stuffed full of amazing ingredients -- they do not scrimp on either the meat or noodles, as many others do -- and so generously sized that you're sure to have enough leftover for lunch the next day. This is one of my favorite places to eat in Chalmette. The prices are affordable, the food is great and the family that works there is absolutely amazing. I love Beignets and More and the wonderful people there. I can't stress how kind and caring they are. They are arguably the nicest people on the planet. I've been coming regularly for a while. At least once a month. Every time i eat here, i always order the "large" combination pho. I've always thought that the price of it was $8.95 like it says in the menu. It doesn't specify what size bowl it is you get, just $8.95 for a combo pho. Today i dined in and i was charged an extra $3 for ordering a large combo pho. They said they just recently changed prices within the last few months and the guy said I don't know if you have been here during that time but we have a new menu. I dine there at least once a month but i guess they don't recognize me... They also charged me an extra $1 for a small combo pho when it says on the current menu $6 for small. I think paying $12 for bowl of pho is unreasonable. And I've never received an up chargé for it in the past. Won't be returning here anymore. Bad CS read more

We were visiting new Orleans and looking for a great local spot to go for our recovery to a late night of drinking. We LOVE to eat PHO for breakfast so we took a drive out to the suburbs and enjoyed a bowl of soup along with some beignets. Both were EXCELLENT!! Beignets:just the right amount of chewy and crispy.
