Excellent Vietnamese Coffee! The Tofu Pho was excellent and the Crab Rangoon is perfect not too greasy or too much filling.

My boyfriend and I eat here as much as we can. The chicken banh mi w/extra cilantro and chicken fried rice is our favorite. They know us soon as we walk in :) They are very consistant and never disappoints me. Makes me very happy to have great vietnamese food close to home since this is the only viet restaurant in Chalmette. And im very critical when it comes to viet food because im asian and i cook asian food for a living. The only thing I would recommend to them is changing their name. Beignets and MORE is an understatement to what they have there. Should be more specific to the cuisine. 5 stars for sure!!! read more

It's hard to find delicious healthy interesting food and living in New Orleans has spoiled me badly. So when I found myself in Chalmette with a few hours to wait during lunchtime I was tempted to drive back in to the city for lunch. I'm so glad I didn't! The friendly waitress helped me quickly navigate the confusing menu (I don't know much about Vietnamese food) and made a recommendation that was fantastic. During the film festival we tried to dine here on a Sunday, late. After reading reviews and the menu, we made sure to try again before a movie. This great spot did not disappoint. This is a fast place that is absolutely not to be thought of as "fast food". I think our waitress was gone long enough to walk away...as though there was some sort of film edit. The food wasn't like Kim Tai's back home, but it was very good. I enjoyed it thoroughly, as well as the quiet atmosphere; I did go during the early afternoon though. Delicious Vietnamese. We live in NOLA but visited this restaurant while in Chalmette. We eat Vietnamese all the time at different places. The pork vermicelli, meatball pho, beignets, pork ban and lemongrass chicken were all delicious. Great service too. Definitely will be back. read more

I got the combination rice (so full of meats, great protein), crab ragoon, Vietnamese rolls, and my favorite part, Green Tea smoothie with strawberry lychee jelly. It. Was. Heavenly. This was my first time going there and my first time having that. I stumbled upon this place as I was googling for boba tea places near Chalmette. Beignets & More showed up second. I decided to look at the menu, and wound up placing an order the next day. I got there 15-20 minutes after ordering on the phone, and everything was nice and ready for me. The floor manager greeted me with a smile and I let him know that I placed an order on the phone. He led me to the counter where I started detailing the order (to which the sweet lady worker finished telling my list). As the cashier rang me up, he talked nicely about the weather. Just everyone had such a positivity that I'm glad I got to experience. Then I got home and had such a great meal. The price also wasn't that much, surprisingly. Definitely will be going again, even if just for that smoothie. read more

The name of this restaurant is very misleading. Yes they have coffee and beinets but it is mostly a Vietnamese restaurant. The pho wasn't bad but it definitely was not the best i have ever had. i hated the service. i think the waiter is a sexist. Every time i have ever eaten here the waiter always puts the check right in front of my boyfriend. Excuse me but i have plenty of money! The cook also comes to each table to talk to the patrons. He interrupts conversations and i didn't go out to talk to him. Obviously i cant go there again after writing this review and am A-OK with that. read more

Was visiting a client in St Bernard Parish and decided to have lunch here. My coworker wasn't a fan of Vietnamese but I was craving Pho. The Pho was absolutely delicious and a nice size portions. This is the best Vietnamese food I've ever tasted, and I was raised in a Vietnamese family. The food is always fresh, and the service is great. Even during busy lunch times, I am always seated immediately, and the servers there always know my drink order. I've never been disappointed at this establishment. Another great aspect is their New Orleans section of the menu for those who are not adventurous with their tastebuds. This is easily the best food in Chalmette. My go-to spot for Pho or Pork Bhan Mi. Extremely friendly staff. Unbelievably good food. More than reasonable prices. Before the current owners bought this place, there was a pretty average diner style joint in the same spot that was also called Beignets and More. It didn't last very long. With a nice, new, expensive sign out front, the current owners didn't need to change the name to bring in business, they just let their food speak for itself. read more

Instead of "don't judge a book by its cover" I'm going to say "don't judge a Vietnamese restaurant by its weird whitewashed name and strange location in a strip mall." Count me a convert. I had the tofu banh mi, boyfriend had it with meat. The seasoned mayo was awesome, tofu was crisp, bread was spongy and perfect. My coconut smoothie was also delicious! I was craving a battered shrimp poboy but didn't know where to get one nearby. I read the reviews here and decided to check them out. I also was craving beignets. The poboy was Vietnamese, there weren't enough shrimp on it, they weren't battered which was fine but the poboy was small for the price. The bread was too hard. Other than that the poboy was good but not what I expected. They were out of fries. The beignets were awful. They didn't taste at all like beignets and the powdered sugar was like rock clumps. The crab rangoons were good but overpriced. We spent over $60 to feed 3 people and were still hungry afterwards. The best thing there was the service. They have a lot on their menu so hopefully the other stuff is better. If you are looking to save a few bucks go down to Hot Wok. read more
