It was breaking off and was badly layered causing it to split and break off worse. Enter Salon M. I originally had an appt with another stylist but because of my own miscommunication and the recent loss of my dad, I came the wrong day. (I'm really sorry about that guys) I was lucky enough to meet Michelle there working late. She agreed to cut it for me and try to fix it because I had a job interview that Friday. She was lovley, friendly, incredibly knowledgeable and helpful and saved my hair. She shaped it nicely to my face which was a miracle considering how bad it was. She knew exactly what would work, took her time and expertise to make it look healthy and beautiful. I knew I had to go really short to save it, and she somehow managed to make me feel like I still had a little length. Two weeks later it's grown in just a tad and I've been learning to style it with some great tips She gave me. I walked into the salon when there was one employee working and she was presently cutting a customer's hair, didn't ask her name but she had short blonde hair, and I went ungreeted and unnoticed for a few minutes. Being in customer service myself, whether you're currently busy or not, acknowledging your customers' presence is important. So I decided to walk myself deeper into the salon and find the product myself. THEN SHE SPOKE TO ME! "Can I help you with anything?" I told her I was looking for product to reduce hair loss. That's when she laughed at me and basically rolled her eyes, then spoke in a condescending voice, "uhhmmm I don't think anything like that exists, haha" so now that she has been openly condescending and rude to me in front of other customers, I walked out crying. If it didn't exist, I wouldn't have been looking for it. I hope the lady who treated me this way reads this, but you never know what a person is going through. Found this place online and saw that it was super affordable and had good reviews on Google. I asked for a trim and a touch-up on my highlights, pretty standard. I left with a HORRIBLE color job - you can see some of the issues in the photos I've attached, but it was worse than the photos show. My hair was splotchy all over with strange brassy stripes. No matter which side I parted my hair to, or even if I pulled it straight back, the spots showed. I went back two days later to the same stylist to have it fixed. The re-do turned out better, and if she would have done it for free my rating would be different - but they had the nerve to charge me for what was clearly the stylist's mistake! I've never heard of someone being charged to fix what was the stylist's error. Granted, this is an inexpensive salon, but I would have expected more out of their customer service. I definitely will not return. *Note - the positive reviews on Google can almost certainly be attributed to the fact that they offer $10 off any product for writing a Google review.

I had walked in and asked for a trim, 5 inches of hair and a thinning shears nightmare later and I had vowed to go to a real salon next time. She didn't have the best hair to work with and I now have super frizziness that needs to grow out for some months more to blend with the rest of my hair, so she didn't have the best hair to work with in the first place. She turned a negative into a positive. My hair is extremely thick, curly, and porous, it was time consuming but she did an amazing job on the Ombre/Balayage style that I wanted. She didn't rush or try to get me out of the salon. The level of quality work and care was unlike anything I've ever experienced before. Zero brassiness, hair was toned perfectly, this is also the best haircut I've ever had in my life. My hair feels and looks amazing now.
