This was my first visit to Get Dolled Up Beauty Lounge. I saw Nekoda for a color correction. Prior to my appointment I sent her a few photos of the color I hoped to achieve and my current hair color since my hair had previously been colored. When I arrived we discussed whether it was possible to achieve my color goal, what it would take to do it and an estimate of costs. It all appeared possible and Nekoda got to work. Every step was done with great care. She took her time making sure it was perfect. She also offered care instructions to keep my color and condition of my hair in great shape between appointments. The final result - absolutely stunning! It's so beautiful, she exceeded my expectations. If you're looking for a new salon and a new stylist I'd recommend Nekoda. Her color skills are fantastic. Check out Get Dolled Up Facebook page too for more info and photos.

I've been trying to find a new hair stylist. I went here to get highlights and a root shadow. It was done so bad and wasn't blended at all. I tried to go back to get it fixed but our schedules didn't line up. Honestly I don't really want to go back since it was messed up so bad the first time. I keep reading that the owner is really good with blondes so maybe I just got someone with little experience. Regardless, if you're a professional my hair should not look like this. I've made an appointment with someone who caters to blondes but for the time being I have to walk around with my hair like this. I I've attached pics.

Absolutely would NOT recommend this place to anyone! I had seen beautiful pictures on their Instagram feed, so I figured I'd give it a try. I went in with a few inspiration photos of what I was looking for - all over highlight, maybe a bit of a shadow root and highlights to frame my face. Next thing I knew, I had bleach ALL OVER MY HEAD, and the stylist walked away and left me for about 25 minutes. My head was on complete fire, and my eyes were burning so bad I could hardly open them. She finally came back and washed me in the bowl. When I came back to the mirror, I was sick to my stomach, really crossing my fingers and trusting the process. She then gives me a haircut (I have extremely thick, naturally curly hair). I couldn't upload a video but it was literally the worst haircut I've had in my entire life!! My boyfriend could've done a better job with a butter knife My hair looked like steps, like you could just walk across my whole head. She then took me back to the bowl and put a toner on, but all it did was make my hair brown. At the very end, my total came to $600 and I absolutely HATED my hair. They had me come back and still charged me $30 for them to "fix" it when all she did was use a Detox Shampoo which didn't even really do much. The worst part of this was, due to all the harsh chemicals and bleach, my hair has completely snapped off at my neck and I had to get a bob cut. I'm not one to bring down other women or businesses, but this hair salon DESTROYED my hair and I don't ever want this happening to anyone else. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!

So on my appointment with Melissa, to "fix" my hair, I felt really confident at first. Melissa agreed wholeheartedly that my hair wasn't done properly and gave me time for the full consultation that I didn't get the first time. She took a "before" picture, which I was a little put off by because the it was actually the $250 "after" of what had happened in the salon! I was also a little put off to be seated beside Arri, who messed up my hair the first time, said absolutely nothing to me during this appointment, and gave me rude side-eye during my re-do. At any rate, I showed Melissa some pictures and she seemed confident that we'd be able to fix things. The color application and was seemed to go smoothly...and then she started cutting. I'd been very clear about wanting to keep the length and adjust the layers that had previously been shorn into my hair...and Melissa cut...and cut...and cut. I was freaking out but kept telling myself that it would grow back...and that the color was at least a little better...and I'd really come back for the color correction...by the time I left, 6-8 inches of my length was gone! On top of that, the much shorter cut I received unexpectedly was one that I'd never request: although I told her that I typically wear my hair curly and wanted layers for shape and around my face, I got a basic, uncool cut that was layered only at the bottom 2 inches of my hair - total triangle cut for someone with curly hair! I was near tears and anxious to get out of the salon - again. I walked into the salon initially with long, dark, healthy hair, left the first time with brassy, streaky long hair, and left the second time with medium-length, slightly less brassy, damaged hair. Despite the impressive Instagram page they run, I wouldn't let anyone but the owner touch my hair (but she didn't offer to fix it, so...). I ended up going to my usual stylist, who said she was limited in what she could do because it had been processed twice already, but who was finally able to get it at least not as embarrassing-looking (I obviously had to pay all over again though). I could not, in good conscience, recommend this salon to anyone. My experience was terrible both times; my hair is infinitely worse today than it was the day I walked into the salon and it will take YEARS to get it back to where I began, healthy and long. UPDATE: I just happened upon my review and realized that the owner commented very rudely and called into question the veracity of my reviews. To clarify: my before picture was NOT taken immediately after I had my hair colored, months before my GDU appointment, as she assumed. It was taken after I'd had it styled, only, by a very competent stylist - no cut or color - and it was maybe a month before my GDU appointment. Obviously I don't style it this way daily (I stated multiple times that I wear it naturally curly), and a month later, the only differences would have been a few more grays and another .5 inch in length. I selected this photo to show how long and healthy it was pre-GDU. I did hug Melissa when I left - it was kind of an awkward moment, and I was trying to reassure myself that the color DID look at least a bit better (it did). It was also blown out straight at the time, so I didn't realize at that point how short and terrible it would look when air dried curly. Honestly, to have a stylist barely layer CURLY HAIR is something I haven't encountered since I was a teenager having my hair cut at Super Cuts! I absolutely did, and should have been able to, expect more from a $250 hairstyle (plus tip because I'm too polite for my own good!). I may not have been in for a wild cut or nonconventional color, but I'm fairly fashion-forward and (my mom thinks I'm) cool - what I received from this salon was basic, streaky, garish, uncool hair that was miles away from what I started with. To have the owner attempt to post a before pic as some weird attempt to call me a liar and show how "bad" my hair was before is insane. If she ever does get that figured out, I'll note that I went in for my initial appointment without having washed my hair that day (as a mom to four young children, I welcomed the chance to skip doing my hair since I was having it tended to at the salon!).

This was my first visit at Get Dolled Up. I have another place that I usually go for the hair cut, but I could not find an appointment before traveling, so I decided to try different place. So I searched Yelp, read reviews, and decided to give a shot at this place. As a note, I did a men's hair cut (short hair) with Arri. The reason why I gave one star is not because of subjective matters such as "my hair went too short", "the color of hair was not what I wanted, but because of more "objective" matter. As mentioned, it was my first visit, and as a male who is not good at communicating my preferred hair style with hairstylist, I totally understand that my hair become shorter than I expected or so. But what I could not understand is that, after the hair cut, my hairstylist did not clean up my neck (I am not talking about "shaving" my neck area. I literally means "clean up" the hairs). I could feel that there were lots of hair on my neck while I was driving, and I had to go back home and took a shower. Who wants to leave the shop with messy look on your neck? I think that was unprofessional, and I don't think I will revisit this place.

After moving to Milwaukee, I was looking for a place where they could make my hair from brown to blond. I have colored my hair blond and have done bleaching and highlighting for most of my adult life, however, during the Covid time, I let it change to its natural brown. I found Get Dolled up beauty lounge on Instagram and after checking them out further online, I made an appointment. I was lead to believe that they know what they were doing. Unfortunately, that was not the case. The first time, they left the bleach on my hair for 5 hours. I had sever allergic reaction (red face, palpitation, nausea, shortness of breath); something that I had never experienced before. For the 2nd visit, the bleach was left for over 3 hours with the same allergic result, despite taking antiallergic medicine. Putting the allergic reactions aside, after spending over $600 for the first visit and $350 for second visit I ended up with the hair that was loose, cracked, fragile and damaged beyond repair. This was frankly an awful experience and still after 3 months, when I look at my hair in the mirror, I realize that I made a grave mistake, first by trusting the hype created around them, and by the end result. They may be good for cutting or styling (which they also not do a good job on me), but they definitely don't know how to blonde or use products that are safe for the body. Based on my experience, I therefore do not recommend them.

Been coming here for many years, and I've had all the spectrum of colors don't on my hair from normie colors, unicorn, purple and pink, red and orange sunset or sunrise colors, to platinum blonde, then back to a more normal color. Geri's been absolutely amazing with my hair, I couldn't go anywhere else besides get Dolled up to handle my hair. You can come here with any imaginative color and experience you want. This place is always lovely and staff if super FUN, friendly, and will take care of you! Drinks to keep you hydrated! read more

So disappointing. I took off from work (which is hard to do being a small company) I scheduled my appointment online 4-5 days before my appointment and I got there and no one had time to do my hair. I've waited and took off AND made the appointment. Truly disappointed and sad. read more

I have been going here go for 3 years. i get the same baliage every time and it's been different and mediocre every time. I keep trying to give them a chance but yesterday I waited 45 min for a haircut and walked out. No one greeted me or told me the technician was running late. I'm through. They also ruined one of my favorite shirts with bleach. No sorry or anything. read more

Hi Kyla! We are so sorry you were not pleased with the service during…
I went in for a balayage and had to book an appointment in advance for the same. The hairdresser handled me and my hair with care and asked questions at every step. The process took 2 hours from start to end. After going home I realized I wasn't the happiest with the results and so messaged the salon with pictures. They called me back to redo my hair! Very professional! read more

I'm the type of person who unfortunately goes waaay too long between haircuts (6 months or more)--and then randomly gets the urge to make an appointment quickly out of the blue. Same story this time--except I was lucky to snag a next day appointment with Get Dolled Up. And I'm glad I did! With my random next day appointment and the salon already busy and buzzing, several members of their super friendly team jumped in right away to shampoo and dry my (super thick and long) hair, and I even had the amazing owner Geri personally take on my cut. She gave me an amazing, manageable haircut--asking all the right questions and totally listening to the fact that I'm not the type of person who spends a lot of time styling it in the morning. I walked out at the end with my head feeling so much lighter and my hair feeling healthier than it has in a long time! Kudos to the team for an epic experience and awesome cut! read more

I drive an hour only to be told by receptionist I screwed up the appointment w GB it was with the gal I normally see. someone at the salon changed it without notifying me wtf?? not to mention completely unprofessional read more

I came here for my first haircut in a year and a half. I know, that's bad, and I was getting to the point where I was tired of living with my own split ends. I know it's just hair, but it's also about being in a rut and wanting to make a change. I went online on Wednesday and miraculously snagged an appointment for Saturday. They said later that Saturdays are usually booked, but that if you make the appointment a week in advance you can usually get the time you want. Maybe I got lucky this time because everyone else was graduating, but whatever works. My stylist was Will and he was great. I didn't bring any pictures or anything, but I briefly explained what I like and what I don't like and he understood. He also didn't aggressively push products, which is something that bugs me sometimes at other salons. He made recommendations though, and I did end up buying some shampoo and conditioner because I'm tired of the results I'm getting from drugstore products. The salon is cute and stylish and not snooty. The people are fun and laid back. The prices are reasonable also. The Shorewood location is actually a little closer to my house, so I might book there sometime if they have space and Bay View doesn't, but I would definitely visit this location again. read more

I wanted to give this salon benefit of the doubt that what happened to me was a one off, however, that is not the case. I went here about four months ago for a full highlight and cut. The quote was $176. I ended up being charged just under $500. At no point was I made aware that my hair was going to cost that much. The appointment also took five hours. I tried to connect with the manager to rectify the cost, but was not able to talk to her. Please make sure to read reviews before considering going here. read more

Although the staff is friendly and professional, I have a few grievances. Number one being the price quotes on their website are quite inaccurate for hair color services. I was expecting to pay around $250 to get a "mermaid color and cut" service and I ended up paying around $500. That was literally double what I was expecting to pay. I was baffled. That kind of seems like a bait-and-switch to me. If your pricing varies that significantly if you "have to use extra bowls", I think there should be a disclaimer on the website specifying that so people can know what to expect prior to booking. Also, despite my hair being in healthy condition, I didn't get what I asked for and the stylist just kinda "did their own thing". If someone is going to be paying such a high price to get their hair done, they should expect to walk out of the salon with what they came for. read more

I never write reviews but I feel the need to warn other women. I got my hair highlighted (blonde) at this salon. My current hair length is a little past my shoulders. The stylist used 5 bowls to highlight my hair! Product was flying on me, the ground and her. My hair was completely over processed. Now I have to cut off 5 inches! My bill came to $450 for highlights because she used 5 bowls. I've never felt so taken advantage of. I know this isn't right because I've been getting my hair down for over 12 yrs. Hands down, the BEST place to go in the metro area for color. The staff is friendly, attentive and really good at what they do. I've been working with Nicky Rev for quite a while now, and wouldn't dream of going anywhere else! I love that I can book online through Vagaro! I went here a few days before my college graduation to get my eyebrows waxed and a hair smoothing treatment (express Brazilian Blowout). This is probably my favorite salon I ever went to! Maria did my eyebrows. It was my first time getting my eyebrows waxed and they turned out as well as I could imagine. Then, Hailey did my hair. She is a newer stylist, but I probably wouldn't have known that if she hadn't told me. She seemed very professional and knowledgeable about what she was doing. Also, the prices were reasonable. The salon has a very cool, fun, laid-back vibe. The only thing that sucks is that I don't actually live nearby, but I honestly think it'll be worth the drive to go back here next time I need to get my hair cut or dyed. Highly recommend! read more

I've tried talking myself out of writing this review but after 6 months, too many tears have been shed from the lack of self confidence I have due to my botched hair, so it's time. I know they will reply to this review and try to invalidate me like they have on every negative review they got, which is what has prevented me from writing this for so long, but I've had 6 months to really think about this, and at least 3 other stylists who have all been in the business for 15-20+ years, validate my horrendous experience. October 2019 - Came in to get my roots done. Asked if my hair could go lighter as well and Geri Beth said no because my hair was too damaged, better to just dye the roots. Great! She knows what she's talking about and cares about the health of my hair, so far so good! After bleaching my roots, she said she could actually lighten my hair by pushing and reusing the bleach from my roots down to the hair, which she proceeded to do. Afterwards, her assistant washed my hair and brushed it out as I watched massive chunks being ripped out. Signs you know your hairstylist didn't do a good job: 1. Scabs all over your scalp from bleach burns for the next month 2. When she takes a bunch of before pictures, but NO after pictures (good thing I did) 3. While bleaching, she tells me about all the extension methods she can do on me then after bleaching/chunks of hair falling out and saying nothing, she said my hair probably couldn't handle it. Better to buy halo extensions (which cost me another $300, which wasn't color matched correctly, paid another $70 to get them color matched correctly and it was still the wrong shade - I'm a non-confrontational person so I didn't say anything and I really just gave up at this point) 4. When you got your roots done months before this appointment AND a month after with NO PROBLEMS 5. Every stylist telling you that you should NEVER "reuse" bleach from the roots to the length of your hair This whole experience cost me $670 and me feeling like crap for 6 months afterwards. Let me be as fair as possible by saying, I did come into the salon with very damaged hair and chunks of hair missing in the middle of my head from previous extensions. And Geri Beth acknowledged my damaged hair and said she would leave it alone and only focus on the roots. My problem is she didn't and I left with an even bigger chunk in the back ripped out. And as I said before, I got my roots done again a month later with none of these problems I experienced here, when my hair was even more damaged than when I came here. And all the stylists I've talked to afterwards have all said that the scabs and the bleach "reusing," are all NOT NORMAL. It's taken me this long and me moving out of Wisconsin to write this but I'm glad I did because I literally haven't been able to stop thinking about this god awful experience ever since October 2019. read more

So I decided to book a last minute appointment for my birthday and I was book with Eli at the bay iew location. Needless to say I walked in and was greeted by everyone arriving to work which gave me a good feel the secretary was pretty sweet after checking me in she offered me something to drink. Of course I went with the red wine ladies (lol) Any who my stylist was alittle little about 5-19 mins due to traffic but that was ok due to the fact I was checking emails and reply back to birthday wishes :) She arrived greeted me walked me back to her station and got right to work. She was very gentle and took really good care of me. My hair came out even better then what I actually came in looking for. So with that being said I would definitely book another appointment or reffer people to come check this place out. Today I only got a wash deep condition blow dry/brush out and cut curls with a side braid. read more

After being a repeat patron, I've had the unfortunate experience of having an issue dismissed that I believe was important in being addressed. I've had my hair colored and cut either together or separately a few times by Geri Beth. She is talented and passionate in her craft but that's not where the issue lies. From my personal experience and as other reviews may have mentioned, yes, I did have to wait quite past my appointment time for all of my appointments save for the last one. At least half an hour. I was just fresh from finding a new stylist and my schedule is flexible so I sucked it up. However, it wasn't going to be something I would tolerate long term because I think we can agree that everyone's time is precious regardless of schedule flexibility. Second, for the amount that you pay for hair, I get it, Good hair costs $$$$. I'm a willing patron and believer. However, I am writing this not to seek retribution but because I believe this review may help future patrons and the business. I received a cut on my neck from the last haircut. Having been a repeat client, I was willing to overlook the incident, but it was so horribly painful afterward, I knew I probably should mention it. Also, I can't see the back of my neck so I had my sister and husband look at it and take a photo. Imagine how their reactions made me feel when I can't see the damage but only feel it. I had to treat it with alcohol and seal it up with neosporin. This is the part that determined the future of the relationship. I did email her to let her know because I thought that being a repeat patron, it would probably be appreciated if it was handled privately to avoid further harm to other clients. Unfortunately, I received a response that what I had experienced is a skin sensitivity to her razor and that it was an isolated incident because she tested the razor on herself. Let that settle in. I think we can agree that all human skin is sensitive to cuts. That is a fact. Why am I going to argue about what defines a cut? If I have to go to the doctor to prove that it was indeed a cut, I might as well pursue legal action. I don't appreciate the lack of professionalism and insensitivity to an issue that could have easily been addressed. And to all the other people who have had negative experiences, I am now another added to the list. In truth, I was not even upset until I received her response. So I write this because if I don't, someone else is probably going to be cut and then dismissed. I am pretty upset and disturbed at how it was handled. Needless to say, I've done my duty with this review and am moving on. I believe that if she truly believes in her business and is as passionate about creating positive experiences as she is about her craft, then there will be fewer negative reviews. read more

Hi Geribeth - While I do appreciate your reply, suffice it to say I have a much different recollection of my experience. I have no motivation to lie and am not asking for anything as compensation. I don't think I've ever actually posted a review online before but my experience was so unpleasant and unprofessional than I felt compelled. I stand by my original review and think it's unfortunate that instead of just owning your mistake and apologizing, you felt the need to lay out a bunch of excuses and, quite frankly, lies. I do wish you and your salon good luck but I will be taking business elsewhere. Original Review.... I booked lash lift service at Get Dolled Up on KK. This service was booked 3 weeks in advance as I was leaving on a family trip the following day I arrive for my appointment a few minutes before my 2:30 appointment time. After I checked in, I was shown to the waiting area and offered something to drink. My appointment time comes and goes. The person (owner) who was supposed to perform the service walks by, doesn't acknowledge me or any of the other customers waiting and proceeds to spend 10 minutes at the front desk talking very loudly about Girl Scout Cookies and joking with her employees. It is now 2:40 pm and I'm feeling a bit frustrated. She finally comes over and takes me upstairs. While we are walking up, she calls over to an employee sitting at the front desk and asks her if she wants to watch. After the other employee says yes, she then asks me if I'm okay with having her watch. When we walk into the room, nothing is set up. The equipment to perform the lash lift is sitting in a plastic bag. The owner, who seems a bit disorganized, proceeds to rifle through the bag for a minute or two, finally telling me she will be right back. The woman who is going to watch the procedure is sitting behind me on her cell phone texting. At this point I am awkwardly laying on the table, hoping for things to speed up as I have a babysitter at home watching my two young children (who I arranged specifically for this appointment). The owner comes back about 5 minutes later and tells me she doesn't have the supplies so she can't perform the lash lift. I'm so confused at this point. She says her salon in Shorewood has the "stuff" and I can go up there at 5 p.m. I told her that wouldn't work. As I was walking downstairs she says, "Well I'm sorry about this. If you ever come back I'll comp this service." Although I appreciated the offer, the entire apology seemed insincere. I expressed how disappointed I was and left. I have never had an experience like this. The whole thing was so extremely unprofessional and bizarre. It felt unreal. I have been receiving lash lifts from another business for over a year. I have visited other businesses to receive the same service when I'm unable to get an appointment with my regular person. At each of these services, the appointment begins on time (or I am at least told that they're running behind) and the equipment is set up. I feel respected and appreciated as a customer. I do like to support local businesses and consider myself a forgiving person in most cases. But the experience I had at Get Dolled Up was awful. It was a waste of time and money. I will never visit this salon again nor would I recommend this salon to anyone. read more

Good morning Emily! Thank you for your time to review our salon. I…
I'm pretty picky about who cuts my hair, and had been a loyal customer to a salon in Chicago for years. After moving to Milwaukee, I decided to try something new. I had heard great things from a friend about one of the stylists, Si, and tried to book with her but couldn't find a time that fit with my schedule. Wanting to get in for an appointment asap, GDU set me up with another available stylist, who luckily turned out to be Will! Will was so professional and kind, and took the time to understand exactly what I wanted, and provided some helpful and much-needed hair advice. I did a balayage and cut, and it turned out amazing. Will has a strong attention to detail and perfection, and took his time to get it right. I wanted my balayage to look natural and it 100% does, and I've received so many great compliments! The salon itself was so cute, bright and clean--normally I get stir crazy while I get my hair cut, but this time I didn't mind waiting in such a nice and pleasant environment. I could tell all the stylists were friends and got along, which made for some great conversation :) I overall had a great experience, and would recommend Will to anyone on the hunt for a new stylist. read more

After my less than ideal visit, the owner of the salon invited me in for complimentary deep conditioning treatment. She took time out of her busy schedule to really look at my hair and give me a personal consultation...Not only did she give me the conditioning treatment, but also a trim and amazing low lights to make the color exactly how I originally wanted. I'm in love with my hair now, it looks and feels awesome!! It is so rare to experience true customer service like this, and to feel like your patronage is really appreciated...on top of receiving incredible hair services! I 100% retract my prior review and highly recommend Get Dolled Up. read more

So I went there a month ago and unfortunately due to COVID-19 I was unable to actually leave them a review hopefully this is a constructive way for them to learn. I had a 5 PM for partial hair highlight. I did not leave the place till 1030 in the evening. They had no heater while I was there so I was there for hours with wet hair freezing my butt off. When I told the girl I wanted partial hair highlight she ended up doing a full hair highlight which is not what I asked for and did not look anything like the picture I showed her. On top of that she needed extra color and charged me for it without my concerned when I initially requested partial hair highlight. I'm very disappointed as I was planning to go there quite often and up as a business you need to serve your customers with a little bit of warmth cannot have a big ass place without any heating in this Wisconsin cold. Never walking in there ever again not even to get my highlights fixed I have to now go somewhere else and spend the money truly disappointed. If I were you I would find somewhere else to go they were just going to waste 6 to 7 hours of your time trying to do a partial highlight that's not even done correctly. read more

I am beyond disappointed with this salon and how they handled the tragic mistake that Victoria did to my hair. I was SO excited to get my hair done and pamper myself being postpartum I just wanted to feel good about myself and now I feel ugly and embarrassed. Victoria "over-texturized" my hair and left a huge CHUNK of hair missing from the back of my head. She let me leave the salon without even telling me that this happened. I called the salon (obviously horrified) and no one answered. I left a voicemail briefly going over what happened and let them know I was emailing them pictures and more details of what had happened. They didn't have the decency to return my phone call and emailed me instead. No apologies, no reassurance that they spoke to their employee to let them know it's unacceptable to let a client leave in such bad condition. They did refund me and offer to add more blonde to make it so it doesn't look weird. Which leaves me to my next complaint which I totally would have gotten over if my hair wasn't butchered. I called the salon pre-appointment to talk about the pricing. I told them I had a lot of hair and was looking for a more accurate idea of what my hair would cost for a full balayage. The lady said $250 because I have thick, long hair. So I go to the salon and Victoria tells me $300-400 for a full balayage like in my picture of what I wanted. I told her that was more then I planned and she said she could a partial balayage and a haircut for around $250 so I settled for that. My hair was still over $340 in the end. I cut off SO much hair too. I have very thick hair, but her quote was so inaccurate. I specifically told her I wear my hair up a lot and she didn't add any blonde to the sides so when I wear my hair up I just have a chunk of blonde on the top and none on the sides. I've gotten partial balayage before and every single stylist has done that, she is the first who has not. They offered to fix it but I've decided otherwise because I'm literally traumatized to walk back into their salon. So now I have to spend my money to go elsewhere. I sent them another email explaining to them how upset I was and how ugly I felt because of their salon and they never emailed me back. I am beyond disappointed they managed to ruin my confidence the way they did. And my final complaint are that the young employees were talking about smoking weed and being high while doing my hair. Very unprofessional. I've shown people my hair and they said it looks like it cut too short on purpose, and that the hairstylist must've hated me because of what she did to my hair. I've talked to other hair stylists who can't wrap their mind over how that could have happened AND how she could let me leave the salon like that. That is so wrong on so many levels. I get mistakes happen but you need to woman up and take accountability. I would've been way more understanding. It's SO APPARENT that this salon does not care AT ALL that I have to walk around looking ridiculous. Victorias mistake is going to take years to regrow and look okay again. read more

Are you Tired of your short or Curly Frizzy Hair and want a New Look ???? ........ Let me Tell you about Geri Beth Cota She is the Most Amazing Hair Stylist and Colorist in the Business!!!! You will not be disappointed!!!! I had shoulder length hair n wanted my hair long and Silky Smooth. I Got Great Length Extension and What a Difference it made. Not only is it Real hair it last for 8 months. It's worth every Penny!!!! I also get my hair colored Platinum.... which takes time and perfection because my natural hair color is Dark Brown and it is extremely curly and Frizzy. Also it took skills to match the color to blend in with my Platinum Blonde extentions. What's even more Amazing is that she is a Licensed Brazilian Blowout Stylist. So When She colors my hair it becomes Extremely Damaged and Frizzy. The Brazilian Blowout improves the Health of my hair and Conditions my hair while sealing the cuticle for enhanced color, reduced frizz and gives me a radiant shine. Words Can not Describe what she is capable of Doing. I am Truly Great full I have the Privilege to be her Client. It's not often you find a hair stylist that truly loves and Cares about what they do. It's not just a job for her. It's a Passion for her to make her Customers feel and looking Amazing. I'm going to post before and after pics so you can see How truly Incredible her Talent is !!!! ;-) Love You DollFace read more

Sending this in for Cassie Cross. Since owner keeps on removing her review. Living your best life...charging a unbelievable amount of money and ending up with destroyed hair and the complete opposite color you asked for. Owner who calls themselves a master stylist? I beg to differ. So most hairdressers request a picture to go off of. How is it that you show this picture and do the complete opposite? Beige and tan is NOT the same as yellow, orange, green or red, and especially NOT the same as gold! A box color would have looked better than the end result. The whole process felt rushed from beginning to end, so the end result was definitely horrible. When you do all this research and come to find out you make the wrong choice, and an expensive one at that! So you go to make a complaint and you are totally ignored and not helped out. Even went to get a second opinion from another salon and was told that this place really messed up my hair. They said the color isn't even close to the picture shown and that my hair was severely damaged. Backing your work and taking care of the customer should be number one but obviously not yours. Others know my experience at your salon and definitely will not be visiting you. read more

I found Get Dolled Up by miracle and was able to make a last minute appointment the same day I called. Just 3 days before I had a very traumatic experience at a different salon. I asked for a soft body wave perm and left the other salon soaking wet, smelling like hot garbage, and with 8 inches of what was my very long and very healthy hair, fried off and damaged beyond repair. Or so I thought. My stylist at Get Dolled Up was Kayla Sparapane. She was absolutely amazing, she listened to my horror story and she knew exactly what needed to be done to salvage what was left of my hair. She decided on doing the Brazilian Blowout, and made me feel completely comfortable through the whole process. She recommended certain products to help strengthen my hair and get it back to as healthy as it was before. She also managed to cut off the remaining fried hair without completely cutting my hair any shorter than it already was. I can't thank her enough for the service, and for the care that she provided. I have already made my next appointment and I am so confident in saying I completely trust her with my next drastic hair change. read more

My hair was about 6 months overdue for a cut and color, primarily because I wanted to try someplace new and wasn't sure where to go. A friend referred me to Rachel at Get Dolled Up and let's just say being in Rachel's chair was a whole new experience and I have several regularly scheduled appointments set up with her now! Her love for the job shines through her bubbly personality and incredible knowledge of hair. She taught me so much I did not know regarding my hair type and how to care for my naturally + treated blonde hair. The total vibe of the salon is awesome too - the decor is like something you'd see in LA or New York and you can tell all the stylists there are like one big family and were all so sweet. Even the owner who is incredibly talented, and who Rachel said taught her most of what she knows, came over and introduced herself. I would highly recommend Get Dolled Up to anyone looking for a new salon and definitely Rachel as a stylist (tiugg all their work looks amazing!). Here are my before and after. After seeing her magical work on Instagram (and having my nails done by her in the past), I contacted Si to dye my hair purple. Since my hair is virgin and dark and curly, I knew this was going to be a huge bleaching and coloring process, but I trusted that Si could get the job done. She took her time, making sure I was comfortable and approved every step she was taking. She even custom mixed colors for me so that I could have the pinky purple I was hoping for! The process took a long time, as it's does, but Si was cheerful and friendly the entire time. Si even offered to order delivery for us since we were both starving halfway through! By the end of it all, my hair looks ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! I never thought I could have beautiful mermaid hair, but working with Si made the whole experience enjoyable and worth while! I've gotten sooo many compliments and I can't stop looking at my hair in the mirror. I'm in awe of her work and can't wait to visit again! read more

I visited Get Dolled Up for the first time last week and I cannot say enough wonderful things about Lizzie. I came to my appointment with a grown out shag cut and minimal ideas of how I wanted to update it. I told Lizzie I wanted something low maintenance that I could wear with my natural curls, and asked her to keep my length as long as possible. She looked at pictures with me and helped me decide on something that would look flattering and meet my requirements. I am in LOVE with the results. This haircut checks all of my boxes. Lizzie kept my length and added the flare I was hoping for to refresh my look. I've attached photos of how beautifully she styled it, as well as how great the cut looks when I let it air-dry at home. Lizzie was kind, patient, and 100% transparent with me about the price of the service. I will be back to see her for more services in the future. Thank you, thank you, thank you! read more

I've seen numerous hair stylists over the years and was never satisfied with the cuts or color I got from anyone. The problem is I am extremely picky, and no one seemed passionate enough to do a great job. But once I started seeing Geri Beth, it was game over! She is the most thorough and passionate stylist I have ever been to. What I really love about her is that she is always educating herself on the newest trends, and is not afraid of guiding me on my style. She loves being a stylist and helping people look their best, and it shows! She even did my hair for my wedding, and it was how I always imagined it. As for the salon, it is adorable! You feel like you are in a high end salon in LA, without paying the LA price. All of the stylists are so fun and friendly, you really feel like part of a family. I went in last week Friday to retouch my roots and brighten up my existing highlights. I also had a some orange peeking through my hair, so I wanted to fix that as well. I found this salon by reading online reviews and felt that I would give it a try. Christina was my hair stylist and might I say, she has changed my hair life. She added a base breaker to my roots with a lighter color that slightly matched my roots for less upkeep and strong contrast with the existing blonde and added a full head of highlights, while also brightening and getting most of the orange out. Once I saw the end result I was completely amazed at the transformation, a total different look, beautiful blonde. I LOVED IT! Christina is amazing! I highly recommend her!!!! Beautiful job, I have had many compliments, which only confirms my opinion. Thank you Christina, will definitely come back! read more

TJ at Get Dolled Up has been doing my hair for several years. He always does a great job and has suggestions for styles and colors when I need a change. He also does my mom's hair and it has never looked better. We both followed him here from a different salon and are so glad we did. I have known most of the stylists here for years and everyone is fun, friendly and very experienced. The customers and stylists are very interactive with each other and everyone has fun while they are here! It takes about three hours to do my cut and color, but I have a good time laughing and joking around with all the other people there. The prices are very reasonable, and all the stylists are great...skilled in styling anything from conservative to crazy. I highly suggest this salon! read more

I had an appointment for a haircut with Melissa Massey, and from the minute I walked in the door I was treated well. They sat me down on a comfortable couch with some fresh, hot tea and had me fill out a new client form asking for my favorite activities, personal style, professional style so they could help tailor a look to suit my needs. I didn't have a particularly strong idea of what I was looking for in a style (growing out an old asymmetrical), but Melissa totally delivered above and beyond. Everything looks great, I felt comfortable and pampered every step of the way. Will DEFINITELY be going back! I change syles/colors frequently, and am terribly indecisive, but I have 100% confidence that I'll walk out of this salon looking fantastic every time. read more

Literally the best experience I have ever had getting my hair done. Koda did an absolutely amazing job. I highly highly recommend her. I told her what I wanted and she did even better than I thought I could ever have. I had her do balayage, with my natural color brought down, and a money maker. Then I had her cut my hair a bunch with layers and a you shape. She did what I want and I absolutely love it. Seriously I don't think I will ever go to anyone else ever again. Her Instagram is : @beauty_temptress. The place was clean everyone, had a good attitude and everyone was soo nice. Highly recommend. If you want to see pictures you can insta message me @sarahhlynnw and I will send them to you!! read more

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE! Obsessed with my hair - Geri Beth and her team are amazing! The dynamic in the salon is great - it felt like I was hanging out with old friends and had been coming here for years - everyone was so friendly and inviting. I trusted Geri Beth to do whatever she thought would look good and it surpassed my expectations - she dedicated 6 full hours perfecting my look, you can tell she really enjoys her craft and is a true professional. The website was incredible with excellent inspo pictures to choose from and get you excited for your transformation. I'm so happy I found this gem of a salon and look forward to coming back for years and years to come! Book your appointment now! read more

This was my first time with this salon. I've heard so much about Si and have seen her work on friends and people I follow on Instagram so I HAD to try her! My hair needed major help and Si was able to give me exactly what I wanted! She is very meticulous and really takes her time to make sure your hair is perfect. I appreciate someone who has that much passion and pride in their work and you can really see that with Si. I'm sad that I did not see her sooner and more often because now I have moved out of country. But for sure, I will be visiting her every time I come back to Milwaukee. If you're a little adventurous with hair color, I highly recommend this cutie for a fun color job! read more

I've been here a few times, previously with Hannah. However she left before our planned "crazy new color" session and a resulting scheduling conflict later I was entrusted to Will. I met Will the same day he colored my hair. He walked me through the process and I showed him photos of what I had in mind. He was very friendly and took his time to talk me through even though he worked past closing to give me what I wanted. Geribeth gave me a discount for the trouble of the scheduling error (when my previous stylist left) and I really feel they took all the effort they could to make me feel satisfied. I really appreciate every visit and every change I've made to my hair. read more

Had a consultation with Rachel & decided to book after taking my daughter to get her hair colored & cut by Geri Beth. She had the best time chatting with Geri. My daughter is intellectually disabled & on the spectrum and Geri was patient & really made sure she was understanding & comfortable with her decision (with mom close by, thank you ;-) It was SELFIE's the rest of the day. Rachel's skills brought me back to the blonde I was meant to be! I hadn't been happy for TOO LONG with how my hair looked. I am SO HAPPY my daughter & I took the chance to try out Get Dolled Up. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! The whole staff was laid back & welcoming. read more

I met with Si last week to get a bayalage done. I have been to many salons in which all ended into terrible, overly-priced experiences. It started with a consult and scheduled an appointment in advance. Si is different in the sense that she actually listened, was very open and honest about my color options and choices and then delivered exceptional service! Her professionalism and experience was demonstrated!! Other staff members were courteous and friendly as well! Si is definitely my favorite and will continue to see her as long as shes available! Thank you for an amazing experience and amazing establishment you have! read more
