I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone, friend or foe! Stay away! Avoid at all costs. They were hired as the GC on a small to medium sized fire house damage. He could not remember any details, and apparently never wrote anything down! From paint selections to baseboard choices! And his reply to everything was like a politician: I can't guarantee this or that OR I can't take responsibility for this or that! If I could give zero stars I will! This was a referral from my insurance company. They have done nothing but cause me stress and heartache not to mention the major delays in a small project! Unreal. Contacted Belfor by phone seeking a quote to remove asbestos tiles from the 2nd story of a residence in Tampa. I am the Construction Manager for the owner of the home who has approximately 20 homes being renovated across Florida. Receptionist would not even consider letting me talk to any because I was not the owner of the home. As a very successful businessman he does not spend his time calling specialty contractors for their services. Thats is why he hires construction managers. The receptionist was extremely rude and would stop referring to me as a subcontractor. I told her multiple times that I was an employee of the owner I asked her repeatedly why she would not consider our project and she then just lied to me that they were too busy. The owner I work wishes to do 60 homes next year and this could have been a golden opportunity. I would not recommend this company to anyone. read more

On Citizens Insurance preferred provider program. Sent me a "work authorization" that actually had an assignment of benefits in it (something Citizens Insurance and its CEO spent years suggesting is a "scam"). The work authorization also contained a power of attorney in the small print along with many other objectionable items. This is for emergency water mitigation efforts and from a company recommended by the insurance carrier. They admitted it was an error to send this particular "work authorization" to me, but the following day refused to conduct any work unless the same form was signed. It appeared to me the only care they had was about getting paid and their relationship with the insurance company that recommended them as opposed to the customer who paid for the policy and whose home is damaged. read more

I can't put into words adequately but I'll try..... What an AMAZING experience I had with Belfour and I have to give all the credit to Bob the supervisor over our project and his restoration specialists team that came to help us. We had a leak issue where we had mold behind our wall in our bedroom...YIKES!!! We had been sleeping right next to the wall!!! By going the extra mile to address the air quality issue we were able to come back to our home after having to stay way at a hotel until it was fixed. Kenny and his team spent countless hours making sure that everything was addressed so our home would be safe and the work was exceptional. Almen (sp) and Gus recently put our wall back up and even made drywall look like art. Bob followed up with me throughout the process and came by to check how the progress was going. I've been meaning to do this update for quite a while now, I was impressed that after putting my review up I was called the next day buy I believe his name is Steve and he was concerned about my review he did explain some things to me which in the end it's still should not take all of that time to do a garage repair but as I said I was impressed that he cared enough to call me the next day. We had a broken water line and flooded a large part of the house and we had gotten a recommendation from our insurance company that Belfor is a great company to work with for getting things done and taken care of. So we contacted Bob and he was on it right away. We can't say enough about the great service and job that they have done. Also the companies that Bob recommended for Cabinet replacement (Madewell) and Mike for the Carpet replacement and the plumbers were outstanding people to work with and their workmanship was top notch. My wife and I want to make special mention and a big thank you to Jeremy who did most of the work around the house (baseboards, trim, drywall, backsplash, painting) and he made sure things were done right and looked great. I would give a lower review than one star if I could. I would not have Belfor repair a dog house. A job that should have taken 2-3 months took over 9 months. I continue to find areas of shoddy repair which Belfor refuses to correct. I have wires just cut and left unconnected to cabinet lights. A sink drain which is tied into a vent pipe instead of the sewer line. A wood floor that was replaced was not left to acclimate and is now separating. Terrible read more
