I loved that they checked in with me throughout the cut to make sure everything was perfect. The prices are very reasonable, especially for the level of care and attention you get here. I'll definitely be making Healing Cuts my regular spot and recommending it to friends. And specifically, if you are looking for that cute handsome beautiful non-binary, genderfluid, lesbian, androgynous, baseball player, skater, etc hair cut, this is the place (modeled in the images attached!). I walked into mystic haircut about 3 years ago, after asking my friend where he got his haircut, cause for the life of me not a single place that could give me that cut, he recommended Mystic haircuts, specifically Kate Vail- my friend basically saved my looks that day. I remember it took me many shops and botched hair cuts to finally FINALLY get the hair cut I want, and come across Mystic Haircuts- Kate Vail is the best! I was so happy to finally get the haircut I always wanted- and Kate was very patient with me as I explained it, not really knowing hair terminology. Kate is the best, and gave me a great haircut that also fit my face very very well. Now, Kate has been cutting my hair for the past 3 years and never disappoints- best barber and stylist I know! Kate cuts my hair in a way where it looks nice freshly cut, but also grows out even better, in a flow style. I have a lot of hair but its medium to fine thickness- she cuts it perfect, and knows how to get rid of weight to make it flare out and sit styled even when I don't style it. Kate is patient with me when I explain what I want and helps me find the perfect cut and length when I am at a loss. And if theres ever need for a slight tweak in the hairstyle, she helps me out and is kind about it. I love going to Kate to get my haircut. The atmosphere of the shop as well is great, and it's easy to get to by car or by public transport. The vibes are wonderful. I walk out and always get a lot of compliments on my hair. When Im having a down day, I always feel better after getting my hair cut here by Kate. Great staff. Great atmosphere. Lgbtq+ friendly etc. Good price for a great haircut. Thanks Kate

DON'T GO TO RICKY! Horrible experience today with Ricky. Do not ask for Ricky even if you're…read moredesperate. This guy gave me a horrible cut today. I showed him pictures and even explained to him in detail what I wanted for my haircut. I asked for a low to mid taper all around, and to please not cut too much off the sides and back but to even it out. At the end of the cut, when I let him know that I did not like the cut and that he did not do what I asked, all he said was "sorry, all I did was follow the pictures you showed me," and he still charged me full price, which was $45 -- that hurts when it's a terrible haircut. He also said he's been cutting hair for 16 years, but in my opinion this is not what an experienced barber does. If you look at the photos I attached, it's very clear he did not follow the photos I showed him or do what I told him. Terrible experience, and he handled the situation terribly. Whatever you do, DON'T GO TO RICKY. I wish I had a before picture, but my hair was beautiful and full before this terrible haircut. Now in Spanish - Ahora en español ¡NO VAYAS CON RICKY!
