Terrible experience. I went to this store with my family to buy something for my kids' teachers, and we were treated very poorly. The employees kept following us around the store, making us feel uncomfortable, and even had someone block the exit as if we were doing something wrong. We were simply shopping like anyone else. This store is trending downhill. It is stuffed with extra clothing rails, taking up aisle space. Items hanging off or fallen on the floor. Check out lines are long and they still push the Belk card which makes a longer transaction time. Carpet is filthy. AC is not working well- so it's sticky inside. Bathroom often dirty and in disrepair. It was once a bright fresh store and a fun place to shop. Now it's depressing. read more

This store is nasty. The fitting rooms are a dumpster fire! They only have a few available. Covid was over a few years back, open the rooms back up. No one on the floor to ask any thing. Not that busy but no shopping carts available. If you're going to operate this type of store then drop the prices to match. Belk has a problem with customers checking out. Waiting in that corral line for minutes is not customer friendly. If you need help in a department you won't find it. It's not the same Belk it used to be. The shoe department has to be losing money, no one to help and it's usually in disarray. I do find nice clothes from time to time and try to catch sales. So I suggest more check out registers and more clerks out on the floor. Thank you! read more

I like Belk when there's a sale going on. But lately there's not much in store for my tastes. Almost no leather belts this trip, some sections don't have much to display and have shrunk. Never crowded. read more

Not my style of clothing, but I was in search of some resort wear for an upcoming cruise and I did find somethings I liked. I went up to the register and the cashier was assisting someone who was having problems with their form of payment and a return. I was in line for about 10 minutes with ZERO acknowledgement (an 'I'll be with you shortly' would've been nice) and NO suggestion or direction to another open cashier. Cashier kept loudly saying 'Take your time' to the woman, knowing I was waiting in line. Very poor customer service, cashier should've asked the woman to kindly step aside to ring me up quick (I only had 3 items) or directed me to another cashier. This was the first time I have ever been into a Belks store, I know shocker! Quite honestly I always thought Belks was a high end store that was too expensive to shop at, but Wow! was I missing out! This store is very clean and organized. I was shoe shopping with my daughter and there was a nice selection of shoes. All of the shoes were on sale, some had better % off than others, but for what we were looking for we found really good deals. We ended up buying a pair of dressy heels and combat boots for my daughter. I bought $60 combat boots for myself at Shoe Carnival the previous day, and I am kicking myself because I found similar boots at Belks for $25 and in a variety of colors. I will always check Belks first for shoes. The only downside I see is that there isn't a designated place for cash registers like at Kohls and there was no one at the shoe register, so we had to hunt around for them. One was empty in the mens dept, so I found an employee doing wall decor and asked where I could find a manned cash register. She pointed them out as well as verbally told me what dept's they were in. The perfume/makeup counters were helping customers and there was only 1 woman working a register and taking a bit of time w/a customer. With that said, the woman who was putting up wall decor saw the line backing up and came right over to help the next in line. I would recommend the Clermont Belks and I am looking forward to returning soon. read more

We stopped here because we needed some closed toe shoes for our daughter. It was on the way to the corn maze. The store is your typical Florida department store, similar to a Kohls or Bells. We noticed the average shopper was the typical snowbird, this also reflected in the staff. We had both helpful staff and an older lady that could not be bothered by us. Ultimately, we got our shoes. It was one of three pairs to choose from. Not a big assortment for kids. Ok store and came through when we needed it. read more

Not sure why a department store comprised primarily of clothing would only have six dressing rooms available to women. Not only were the dressing rooms completely filled, but there was a long waiting line. Clerk told me I can purchase clothes, take them home to try on and then return what does not work. That is not a solution for a business. read more

You know what I love about this store? It's not crowded or stressful, the guest service there is excellent and I like the selection!! Granted, it's a small store so you're not going to have the selection you would at a larger mall, but it works for me! I am going to continue shopping here for the convenience and products I like. Only reason it is four stars is that the selection is small and I wish they had a larger young women/teen section. Other than that, it's great! read more

Been a long time shopper of Belk back all the way back to the Belk Lindsey days. I'v been a shopper at this Belk in Clermont since it opened and sorry to say, it just ain't what it used to be at all. Unfortunate, seems like they always run off the pleasant, nice, normal associates and have a lot of inefficient and rude employee's now. There are still some great folks working at this location though, which is what keeps me going back. The sales are not as good as they used to be either. Wish it could be better as there are not a lot of choices for shopping in Clermont. read more

These coupons they send in the mail are a waste of paper. I purchased 8 items and nothing qualified for a discount. Even though it says "Regular & Sale purchases" the "limited exclusions" disqualify anything for the discount. Because of the way they word things it covers them for false advertisement. I used to love Belks this is very disappointing. I'm canceling my Belks card and will no longer shop there. read more

Although I have always been pleased with my purchases, I want to point out, what I believe is a poor business decision on the part of local management. I refer to allowing charity organizations, inside the store, to approach patrons with coupon offerings for a charity event. One in particular caused me to leave the store and I will not return. On October 18th. a member of the Masons was soliciting "donations" for which one would receive some sort of coupon. He approached me as I entered and offered the coupon to support the Masons. When I declined he asked "may I ask why?" I responded, "I'm sorry but I don't support the Freemasons." He then rudely responded, within ear shot of several other patrons, "shame on you!" My reasons for declining to support this particular organization are personal and I don't wish to explain them nor do I wish to be chastised for my personal decisions. I walked through the store feeling embarrassed and as I left he again shouted to me, "may I ask why you don't support us?" I responded "personal reasons." I left and I will not return. Charity giving is a personal decision and no one should be forced to publicly defend those decisions. Belk has lost a very good customer because of this ill-conceived policy. read more

Frustrating Sales full of false and misleading sale items! I received emails with " 20% savings" on top of regular and sale priced items. Fast forward to Check Out. Coupons, as listed in tiny print on the coupon, are not good on Bonus Buys, etc. In other words, not good on anything. But it worked. The coupons got me and and a parking lot full of hopeful shoppers into the store only to find out that not one item in our carts qualified for the coupon discount. Not only was the 20 % off a fake but also $10 off $20 and $30 off $100. Really? Got me this time but it won't happen again Belks. Better to give no coupons than to falsely obtain shoppers. I feel badly for all of your clerks that had to deal with this for the duration of the "sale". read more
