I went in to buy a suit (or dress, but found a suit). I found what I was looking for immediately. I went over to the fitting room where a lady assisted me immediately, and everything worked out perfectly there. Then, I went to the checkout and asked the lady, Lisa, about the signs everywhere that referenced a coupon. She told me about the app and also told me about an additional coupon for the weekend and was very super helpful and nice in general. She knew exactly how to get the app and what it would say, when it would say it, and what to click on to show me how it worked. It's similar to the Joann's app with a coupon 'tab' at the bottom. You can even check sale prices by scanning tags in the store! Anyway, I got about $80 off of my suit and had a great customer experience with Lisa. I definitely recommend this store. read more

First time for me shopping this location. I was more just seeing if they had any good sales on men's clothing. Lucky they had some 50% off golf shirts with the moisture wicking. These are great shirts and normally over $65. Regular price was $55. Add 50% off. Then at checkout the woman located another $10 off coupon and another 15% off the total. Not a bad walk thru visit. Couple of shirts for less than what one normally cost. Workers were helpful finding right size as well. read more

I went in Belk to purchase men's jeans in the men's dept! I selected the jeans I wanted to purchase and went to cashier, Lisa, to ring them up! She did everything possible to make sure I got the best prices for my purchases even telling me if I had a Belk card I'd get 50% off instead of 40% off! She was magnificent to say the least and all this with a big smile on her face!! Now that's customer service at its best! Sadly that hasn't always been the case with me and Belk!! She should get a raise and also be in charge of training some of your associates that haven't mastered pr skills! I left one happy shopper because Lisa took the time to really appreciate my business! I'm very disappointed in the customer service I've received today in shoes. But I'm not surprised, the older employees are rude, sigh when when you ask them for assistance and when they're busy, they refuse the help of coworkers bc it's 'their sale'. I have an image of the person who was offensive today, as she was complaining to her coworker about me, and another of her talking about me to another customer. This is my go to place for "upscale" clothing in Hixson. That probably tells you a lot about me. I mostly find what I am looking for which is nice. The negative side is I am not what Belks would probably consider their typical customer so I get the snooty looks when I drop in here after work in my jeans and tee-shirt looking for a blouse or business suit. I almost want to break out my Pretty Woman imitation but I don't. I'm sorry, I don't feel the need to dress up to go clothes shopping. SAVED MY LIFE! Okay, that is an exaggeration but it did quiet my suffering. I was in one of the newer stores in the mall and because of the new products and particles floating about, I began to suffer due to my allergies. I decided to take a walk and ended up in Belk. Finally I could breath; it is apparent that Belk is an established store in this mall. It appears a bit dated by is still a nice shopping option. I really appreciate the thought that Belk puts into the clothing they offer for larger women. They had shirts with full sleeves, not just sleeveless or those ridiculous looking cap sleeves. Some larger women do not like having their big arms exposed and they like to have more styling options. If you are that woman, you will appreciate having the option of purchasing a colorful maxi with a matching shrug as they also had these sets available. Colorful clothing options for men, women and children, (separate store also in mall), as well as home decor options and shoes; surely you can find something you like. read more

I have debated on writing a review for a couple of months now, but I am completely OVER it!!!!!! This belk location is the worst!!!!! This is the only location I come to because Hamilton place is out of the way! I would much rather drive there now than have to step foot in hixson again! I have never been to a place where every time I step foot in the doors I get treated just absolutely horrible! I guess you would think I should have learned my lesson the first several times! I've tried giving them chance after chance! I spend a ton of money in the adult and children's section. I am speechless right now on how I was treated along with my family! The clinique counter NEEDS ATTITUDE ADJUSTMENT HELP!!!!! Women are asking you for advise on makeup and skin care. Not asking you to give them attitude and look at them weird because you think they are absolute idiots for bothering you on your shift with questions! More than one occasion I have had issues with this counter! Then you have employees that ask you if you have a problem when your 5 year old is pitching a fit when your husband takes him to the bathroom so he doesn't pee in your floor! NO my child was NOT in trouble or disciplined in anyway! He wanted to sit on the couches instead of use the bathroom! We didn't want him going in his pants or in the store if he peed his pants! My husband couldn't get him to calm down. So, my husband asked that I take him to the women's bathroom so I could help calm him down. Then the do you have a problem employee had another employee follow me into the women's bathroom to listen and watch if I hurt my child in anyway! I'm not an idiot! You did not use the bathroom, you played with your hair, you didn't wash your hands and you followed me out!!!!! I can completely understand if I or my husband truly did something to my child! BUT MY HUSBAND AND I DID NOTHING! I WOULD SAY NEXT TIME HE CAN JUST PEE IN THE FLOOR BUT THERE WILL BE NO NEXT TIME!!!!!!! SO, LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHING BELK! IM SICK AND TIRED OF BEING TREATED LIKE CRAP AND LIKE I HAVE TO WATCH MY BACK IN ORDER TO SHOP THERE! I WOULD NEVER EVER IN A MILLION YEARS DO ANYTHING TO HURT MY CHILDREN!
