Would not recommend buying anything from this store. I have shopped here for years (especially when it was Becky shoes), and they have always stocked used and new shoes. I bought slides there a week ago for my kiddo, and they were $21 . The clerk proceeded to argue with me about the price, as it was completely illegible on the bottom. $21 for new slides would be totally acceptable, but these had seen their fair share of time on a baseball field (complete with Tennessee red clay stains and all). I completed the purchase with the plan to come back when the manager was there. Surely she would be more reasonable....especially when there were brand new Nike slides for $9.99 on the shelf (not my kids size unfortunately). Alas, I couldn't have been more wrong. Seems the rude young lady was well trained by said manager. While the Christian music was blaring in the background, The manager, complete with true southern hospitality (aka rich condescension) proceeded to tell me that they don't sell used shoes there. Oh yeah??? Well tell that to the very well loved hiking boots my husband and I both bought there two weeks ago...so used, in fact, that one pair didn't even have laces and still had some dried mud. In an effort to save my business relationship with this place (I have six children and buy a lot of shoes), I asked if she could just give me the used shoes for the same price as the new Nike's. She was unable to do so, as she doesn't mark the prices...the warehouse does. Guess only the warehouse has those trusty little white chalk markers. With online shopping being what it is today, and marketplace giving you a run for your money, you might want to turn down that J103 and listen to some podcasts on customer service. read more

The employees at this location are extremely rude in a southern fashion imitating kindness with back handed comments and sarcasm. I've been to this location twice and received the same kind of attitude on both occasions. I never intend to shop here again. read more

I didn't expect to go shoe shopping on this trip, but we had a few minutes to kill and my friend mentioned this place more than a couple of times. She said that you can really find some great deals. I guess it depends on the day that you go. They have a fairly large selection, but I wasn't blown away by their prices. Supposedly, it's better to go during the middle of the week, right after they have just put out new stock. That's not to say you can't find something for a good price. I pondered over a few pairs of shoes and a couple of pairs of flip flops before ultimately deciding to walk out empty handed. If you're in the area, it's worth checking out. When this use to be Becky's Shoe Store I love it. Yes it's the type of store that you never know what you will find. But now I know what I'll find. The same old shoes that was there three months ago. My granddaughter and I went there a couple weeks ago. She did find a good pair of boots. As we were waiting to pay for them, the clerk stared at my granddaughter's red hair, then looked at the other lady behind the counter with her and almost laughed in our faces! I didn't say anything just paid and walked out. But it was rude! My granddaughter asked if I had noticed how the clerk had acted. I said yes, she said it was rude wasn't it? Went in looking to buy prom shoes. When I walked in two ladies were standing at the counter. They didn't greet me, just dead stared at me for a good thirty seconds. I awkwardly chuckled and told them I was looking for prom shoes. One kind of huffed in response. I felt uncomfortable but I decided I might as well look at their options, so I went to look for my size. They gave me no direction, and began talking to each other and moving around the store while I looked. I was the only customer in the store and they never said one word to me in the 15 minutes I was in there. I'm currently debating going in another time and giving the staff another chance. read more

Great shoes at excellent prices. This is self serve all the way. Shoes are lined on wooden shelves without boxes, by size. Some are store samples or returns, and often unusual sizes are available. They have a lot of women's larger 10+ sizes and some wide sizes. You'll find seasonal offerings, some times bejeweled, dazzling platforms, or gorgeous leather boots. If you like hunting bargains this is the spot for you. They carry name brands like Born, Birkenstock, New Balance, Merrill, Clarks, Haflinger, Joseph Steibel, etc., but shoes disappear so quickly it's first come, first serve. They restock Friday mornings. The staff are friendly and will help if asked. read more

First of all- I love this place. Secondly- now it has a different name- Marti and Liz Shoes. Still wonderful, fabulous shoes for way cheap. They have the shoes that models wore or the shoes that were used in store displays. My favorite find was a pair of Cole Haan peep-toe sling backs for only $30. Incredible. I will never come back even though I love the shoes. I walked in and the first girl to greet me said, "hi welcome, we close in 5 minutes". Which was fine, I personally would never say that to my customers but you can run your business however you see fit. As I'm shopping this girl yells down the aisle at me, "we close in one minute!" If I hadn't needed shoes that night I would have left right then and not bought anything. As I am checking out this older couple pulls up and starts walking towards the door, it's about 6:58, once again the girl yells at them, "we're closed I'm sorry!" The girl ringing me up said, " you're going to get a complaint " to which she said, " I don't care I want to get out of here! " and they both just laughed. I was furious at this point and decided to keep my mouth shut because if I had said anything it wouldn't have been appropriate. Is this how you run your business? Kicking out paying customers so you can get off right at 7 on the dot? I've worked retail for 5 years and I have never once been treated or treated my customers that way. I use to go in there alot and loved shopping there but one day I overheard an employee mentioning that she puts the shoes on ebay and sells them. The same girl used VERY inappropriate language and she used sexually comments ALOT! Not very professional! Never going back there again, they lost a very good customer due to this employee! read more

Not impressed. They must have a problem with folks stealing shoes due to the signs everywhere. Lots of shoes are reconditioned and you can tell. This means taht a new sole was slapped on and will easily come off. Buyer beware! read more
