Nice little basic motel with minimal amenities. Everything was clean and the owner is very nice and friendly. I would recommend this motel.

Waking up each morning to the peaceful waterfront views and ending the day watching the sunset from our balcony made for an unforgettable experience. What truly sets this property apart, however, is its outstanding staff. From the moment we arrived until the day we checked out, every team member made us feel genuinely welcomed and valued. A special thank you to Clara and Ausha at the front desk for going above and beyond to accommodate us with such an incredible room. Their kindness, professionalism, and attention to detail made a wonderful first impression and set the tone for our entire stay. An even bigger shout-out goes to Front Desk Manager Maxx Millman, who truly exemplifies exceptional hospitality. We were celebrating my birthday, and Maxx went above and beyond to ensure the occasion was memorable. His thoughtfulness, genuine care, and commitment to creating an outstanding guest experience did not go unnoticed. It's rare to encounter someone so dedicated to making guests feel special, and we are incredibly grateful. We also have to recognize Ava and Sarah in the Bistro. They were warm, friendly, attentive, and made every visit enjoyable. Sarah deserves special recognition for making the best Mudslide I've ever had--it was absolutely perfect! Their exceptional service and positive personalities added so much to our experience. Beyond the incredible staff, the hotel itself is spotless, beautifully maintained, and offers comfortable accommodations in a spectacular waterfront setting. The marina views are stunning, the atmosphere is relaxing, and every aspect of the property reflects a commitment to quality and guest satisfaction. It's easy to see why Shoreline Inn & Conference Center has earned such a great reputation. Whether you're traveling for business, attending a conference, celebrating a special occasion, or simply looking for a relaxing getaway, this is a place that truly delivers. The combination of beautiful accommodations, exceptional amenities, and world-class customer service makes it a destination we will happily return to. Thank you to everyone at Shoreline Inn & Conference Center for making my birthday celebration so memorable. We left with wonderful memories and cannot wait to come back. We highly recommend this property to anyone looking for an outstanding hotel experience.

Although I opened window but the smell didnt get any better. I contacted front desk & asked for a room move. We were moved to 2nd floor, the room was better with no smell although almost the whole floor were under renovation zone. Not too noisy so it was okay. The staffs were nice & we love the location of the hotel. My husband unfortunately forgot his Apple Watch after checking out. They couldn't find it at first but after second phone call, they found it and able to send us back after we emailed over the shipping label. Tip: ask front desk how to log in to hotel wifi as what I was shown how to use isn't the regular way that I log in to internet all the time.

The requested extra pillows and towels were in the room when we arrived for check in. The room was clean with one of those dreamy Marriott beds that I wish I could have at home . I attended a meeting the next day at the hotel. Great service but somewhat limited selections for my gluten-free, dairy-free daughter's diet. I cannot blame them for that. Otherwise very average food, but good for hotels, in my experience. Parking was free and convenient. We were there during a weekday and did not have any of the reported problems with lack of parking . If there is any criticism, it was the front desk associate who was marginally welcoming and helpful. I probably noticed it more because I've had such a great experience at Hiltons with the front desk staff. But she got the job done. I would definitely stay there again for another trip through Muskegon via the Milwaukee high speed ferry.

Pros: + Loved that check out was at 12pm. That felt so luxuriously late! + The front desk staff was 11/10. Each of them (I think I encountered maybe five different employees during my weekend here) was friendly, acknowledged every guest warmly, had great suggestions and recommendations, were patient with questions, and did a fantastic job checking folks in and out effortlessly. Seriously, one of the best experiences I've had with a front desk staff at a hotel! + There's a Starbucks in the lobby (...but you can't use your Starbucks app to pay)! + There's a little room in the lobby with snacks, drinks, medicine, and beauty products for sale 24/7! Cons: - It's a very generic, very average-at-best hotel. - The room could have been much cleaner. - The bed could have been more comfortable. - The whole building could probably be modernized. - The noise was TERRIBLE. Despite filling out their online survey about my room preferences, I was given a fourth floor room across from the elevators. Between the street noise from the entrance and the heavily trafficked elevator hallway (and the all night rager that happened in the room next to mine)... It was loud. Finally, I saw a couple reviews mention that they were stingy with their water bottles. Bring your own reusable one; they've got refills stations on every floor!

After looking at our room and finding it in disarray and with a broken AC, we requested a different room. The second room had a great AC, new. The second room was still in disarray. The lamps were crooked on the wall, and the pillows were gross. I included pics of the first room, with its slashed blanket and duvet cover. In the second room our beds had no blankets at all, just a sheet and an empty duvet cover. At first we thought they had forgotten to finish making the beds, but no. Shower heads are oddly low. About 5'. I'm 5'6" and I kept hitting my head on the thing while arching back to wash my hair. Pretty funny. Also the whole place reeked of cigarettes and the cheap nasty towels smelled like they'd been washed using old cigarette butts as detergent. Check out the mirrored staircase in the lobby. The decor was interesting throughout. Looks like it was once the fancy hotel. But the nice hotel of 1980 is the shabby 1.5 star motel of today. We ended up at this place because we booked online. When we arrived, the lobby was full of people trying to check in. The lobby is dated, but looks nice. Don't be fooled, because the hotel is nothing close to nice. After waiting for a good 20 minutes, the Russian manager was finally able to help us check in. However, despite booking many weeks ago, he was unable to find our reservation. He looked through a very large stack of papers, only to be finally helped by another employee. She was able to come up with our information. A computer system would help! Following payment and signing papers we headed to our rooms. To bad we didn't notice the sign on the wall behind the counter that read "If you are unhappy with your room, please let us know within 15 minutes of your stay for a full refund ". Walking to our room the odor of stale marijuana permitted the hallways. The garbage on the floors, the filth on the walls and the dated "decor" should have caused us to leave. We had booked three rooms. One of the rooms had a hand drawn arrow on it letting us know to pull the handle upwards in order to enter. That's because the door had just been pried open obviously with a screwdriver. That's comforting. The rooms had not been cleaned. The soaps were open, dirty towels left in the room, cigarette holes in the comforters, filth everywhere, even blood on the walls. Do yourself a favor and check out my photos and don't stay here!
